It's definitely a stinky dive bar that caters to DU students/alumni. Don't come here expecting fancy craft cocktails or farm-to-table small plates.That being said, you can get a can of wine, some fried pickles, and enjoy the patio on a sunny day. And, as a current DU student, that's all a gal needs sometimes.

This is a bar for underage DU students. The service is fine but the music is usually pretty bad and people barely even dance. It's pretty stinky in there too and there are often some older men preying on young college girls. I like the backyard for people watching but I don't love the bar overall, nothing against the bar itself it's more just the people it attracts. Never had their food before, doesn't look great.

No bueno. Proximity to DU on game night must be it's charm, as it's not the food or the service. I went with the chicken sandwich (their top offering) and a side of tots. The sandwich presented as a monster upon delivery but wow it missed. I couldn't tell if they cobbled together chicken pieces or defrocked a single breast. Plus, the overcooked or "not quite food" parts left a pile in the basket. The tots :: WAY oversalted, to the point I couldn't get 1/3 thru. I'd ask for a replacement, but the bartender only looked up every :45m or soI doubt I'll be back. Sorry, DU... we need more options.

Man I like this place! Yes Service takes a bit when it is packed but our server, Max, was great and the food was good. Great atmosphere for before a game! Got sliders which hit the spot and my some loved the chicken quesadilla!

The first bad sign, the girl entered in front of me, immediately, turned around and left, and for good reasons. I've visited this bar a few times and it's always dead, feels like a front for a drug laundering scheme. Prices and HH are the worst, go somewhere else!

This might be the best place I've ever been in my entire life. I seriously can't describe how happy I am as soon as I step into this establishment. I could be having the worst day of my life, and that could be turned all the way upside down by coming here. Crimson and gold is like no other establish I've been to in Colorado, nay, the the entire continental USA. If I had one wish in this life it would be to have my ashes buried here. Overall 10/10 place, definitely worth a visit, especially on Wednesday karaoke night or a Thursday all you can drink, or really any night of the entire week. Attentive staff, great vibe, all around wonderful place. Walter has been the best bartender I have ever encountered.

The bouncer is on a complete power trip I went her with some of my friends after a DU basketball game expecting cold drinks, good conversation and fun. BUT, I was instead meet with a bouncer that is power hungry he took my real ID and bent it in half thinking it was fake. THEN, he attempted to fight me when I asked for my REAL ID back. Mind you after he let all my friends in I left and was later informed by my friends that he let in that my high school sister was inside and having drinks. I also found out from my sister that the same bouncer lets a lot of underaged girls into the bar if you give them your phone number/snapchat or instagram in conclusion don't go her unless you are underaged or a weirdo that likes little girls.
