Our first time to finally get here after having it on the bookmarked list for a while. Their schtick is an outdoor dog park as part of their patio area. Ironically, we might not be able to go with our dog, who doesn't always play nice with others at a dog park. The anxiety from that might cause us to drink more. Maybe that's their goal. Hearing the air horn used to break up a dog fight that started to break out, perhaps not. Without our dog, we sat inside. It's a cool setup...very comfortable bar area with TVs. There are pinball machines in the back if that's your thing. Service was very friendly while we were there. We both tried and really liked the Keeping the Peace Amber, one of the better ambers I've had. We'd definitely get it again. I also tried and liked the Irish Stout and would get that if the amber isn't on the menu the next time we're back. I'm sure we'll go again, likely without our dog.

First time! Nice taproom shared with their brewing equipment. They opened in 2018. They are open 6 days a week (Tues-Sun). They have food trucks and catering each day (see chalkboard calendar). They offer 2 snacks: Freshly made bavarian pretzels and pita chips with hummus. They also offer multiple menus of nearby restaurants that deliver. The range of in-house brews include light beers, shandy's, happy beers, dark & malty, beer blends, both draft and canned non-alcoholic beverages. They had a QR code to reach website (www.coalmineavebrewing.com). I ordered a Berlin burger with Angus beef chuck & sautéed cabbage with Yuca fries from the Uptown & Humboldt food truck parked out front. I was served by Hayden. He handed me a buzzer when my order was ready to pickup. My first draft beer was their 5.6% ABV Pixie Slap Pale Ale. A 10oz pour for only $4. Nice and light. My food was ready. Very good burger & crunchy yuca fries. Next 10oz draft was the 5.6% ABV Coal Mine Hatch Chili Red made with roasted hatch chili's for $5. I could taste the chili peppers. I got a 3rd beer, a 5oz pour of a seasonal offering, Ruddy Pumpkin Head for $3.50; I sat at the bar and was served by Amber. We chatted a bit. Nice space with multiple tables for small and large parties. They have a fenced dog park in front with bar seats. I will come again to try nearby restaurants and more beers.

Went on a date night here and place looked pretty promising. They defiantly have a great bar and indoor seating layout and the little off the leash dog park area was a nice touch to a brewery. However, the beers there were not as good as I was expecting. It's usually the key to any brewery. I'd give this another try but unless we bring a dog it's highly unlikely.

A dog lover's paradise and a beer enthusiast's dream. Their outdoor Dog Park is an awesome space for pups to socialize while dog parents unwind. With a wide selection of treats for both humans and furry friends, plus a rotating beer menu, there's always something new to try. The loyalty system is a nice touch, rewarding regulars with free beer that is tied to the credit card you use (to my knowledge). The calendar is packed with events, and the variety of food trucks ensures there's something for everyone. From trivia to comedy nights, there's never a dull moment. Whether you're with friends, family, or four-legged companions, this place has something for everyone- there's inside seating as well as two areas for outdoor with one space for human kids and one not for human kids for obvious Karen reasons. Plus, it's so central to everything- easy drive from any direction, we're here at least once a week. Don't forget to pick up after your pup :)

I'm not often in Littleton, but when I am, this will be on the list for sure! I drove out to see Shakesbeer's performance of Julius Caesar, and I'm so glad I made the drive! The show was so fun, and the beer to go along with it was great as well! Absolutely loved the feel of the brewery, with the dog park and all the outdoor space to sit and chill. I tried the funplex cream ale, the tangerine IPA, and the stronger together golden strong. The IPA was a good balance of sweetness and hops- I'm not super into hops, but I enjoyed it. The golden strong was super tasty for having such a good abv, but my favorite was the cream ale. I also got a pretzel- the mustard was plenty with it, I didn't really need the cheese. Service was super friendly and really appreciated the options to try beers when I wasn't sure if I wanted a whole glass. Highly highly recommend- especially if Shakesbeer is performing!

Went here on 9/24/23. Here for the first time. Been wanting to come here for a long time. They are very dog friendly but only on the patio not inside. Lots of tables inside. They have beer from light to dark. You can get crowlers to go. Bartenders were very friendly. Tried the double ipa, gose, common and Oktoberfest. Beers were really good. Cheers!

Good beer, nice lil dog park, big enough interior. Pretzel was fine but not worth $7 and the nasty "cheese" you can get with it, is simply gross and disgusting.

Coal Mine is in a perfect spot for us. It's near one of our jobs, but more importantly, it's across the shopping area from the vet we use. Our dog is a nervous Nelly in public, but Coal Mine has an area outside for pets. That means we can still enjoy our beer. The selection is always good and the staff is friendly. It's a great place to hang out. I am especially thankful because Coal Mine participates in Colorado Pint Day. I've been collecting the pint glasses since I moved to Colorado, and it's nice knowing you have a place to go to get a good beer and the glass.

My wife and I love it here. We bring our dog there multiple times a week. We have our favorite beer there (the pixie slap pale ale) but still like to enjoy their other beers when they run out of it. The service is top-notch. We've gotten to know everyone that works there and they are all fantastic people. Dog people of course, so they all have the safety of all the pets top of mind. The ambiance is casual and nice. They take great care of their place. They have events every week like trivia, comedy, yoga, dance fitness, run club. Go for the beer, go for the dogs, go to have a great time and meet friendly people
