Capitol Pizza

This review is only for carry out or delivered to our office by these guys.Their pizza is delicious and as good as it gets to NY style. Not too salty, well proportioned and you can see these guys paid aattention to details when making them. So far I have tried their cheese, pepperoni, combo and also bbq chicken gluten-free. The gluten-free pizza was left over that I have tried. This dough was amazing. I wouldn't mind driving to their location just to try more of this. I think its rice based with my limited knowledge but the dough is chewy like rice cake and the BBQ flavor was awesome. Stromboli looks very good too!

Food was amazing! The pizza was thin and crispy with a dark under carriage without being burnt. The sauce is to die for and is sooooo delicious! We ordered an extra crispy peperoni, sausage and onion pizza with extra sauce and YUMMM! We have been back multiple times now for this pizza. Also, do not skip the garlic knots. These are the best garlic knots in town. They are flavorful soft bouncy and bursting with butter and salty garlic flavor.

That is some awesome pizza. I think the owners/chefs recently changed. It'sBomb. Go get some.

It pains me to downgrade my previous review. My family has ordered from here many times since my original review. Our orders routinely include multiple items, not just a single pizza. We have always been satisfied with the quality. Alas, not today. 2 pizzas and wings. The Capitol Fav was a disappointment. The wings were meh, with minimal sauce. The Margarita pizza had a better crust than the Cap Fav, but they skimped on the basil and the sauce was sub-par. Every past order was made by the same gentleman that I presumed was the owner. He wasn't there today and I suspect that was the issue. The employee that was working today was pleasant enough, but when you're spending the better part of $100, the quality has to be there. Not sure when we'll revisit, but I hope the next time the taste/quality is back inline with our past experience.

Pretty good pizza! Very soft and lots of meat on our pizza. Garlic knots were ok. They didn't feel fresh but overall I would get pizza again.

So I was at Wash House, doing enormous loads of giant comforters and blankets. I had brought a protein bar and a thermos of green tea. Capitol Pizza is right next door. To my surprise, they were not on Yelp. I walked in, to a clean, bright space, and found out from the nice man behind the counter that they've only been open for a month. They have a lunch special: two slices and a drink for $8. They do not have a drink fountain. There's a cooler with cans and bottles. There's a very limited number of tables. I waited maybe 10-15 minutes for fresh pizza, reading a local free newspaper. They don't have WiFi for customers. They do a lot of takeout. The pizza was NY style, and not bad at all. The sauce needed a little more zing. They do have Cholula, Parmesan, garlic, etc, on the counter. I'd like to try a whole pie some time. They have a 14" gluten-free option. Hopefully someone, somewhere will make a 20" gluten-free, but 14" is better than 10" IMO. At least for sharing. They have an interesting selection of pizzas and toppings. This is the same Capitol Pizza as the Thornton location. I hope that they do well. I'll definitely return, the next time I have to wash giant things or am in the neighborhood.

We recently tried Capitol pizza and were pleasantly surprised. The ingredients tasted fresh and the portions were good. I liked the crust a lot, we only ordered pies from them, but would like to try calzone next.Nice change from the chain places with garbage ingredients. We will be ordering from them again.

Capitol Pizza, you impress me. To provide the local Bemis Library with coupons for a free 8" pizza (with 1 topping!) for every child who finishes their summer reading log is truly generous and awesome. It takes a special business to do this, and I support that wholeheartedly. Thank you! We "cashed in" yesterday, and my kids were so excited. The man who served us was very friendly and kind. My kids each finished their entire pizza and raved about it! I'd already eaten lunch but I eyed their pizzas by the slice as well as their salads, which looked really good. Prices looked reasonable. We'll be back as paying customers for sure. Capitol Pizza shows what it means to be a local business in the community.

I ordered 2, 20" pizzas for a family party & was very disappointed. The pizzas weren't bad, they were just "meh" -- the toppings & cheese were incredibly sparse -- the pepperoni was the size of nickels & there were probably only 20 or so on the whole pie. The only good things were the size of the pies ... but since they were so bland, almost everyone only had 1 slice, so now there's lots of leftover, 'blah" pizza. I could have saved alot of $$ by ordering from Domino's for similar or better quality.

We've had better pizza from leftover Dominos. Their dough looks and tasted massed produced.Wouldn't be surprised if they had empty ketchup bottles in the back from making their sauce. It's your typical Denver type pizza. Tasteless. This place wouldn't last a week in trying sell their pizza in NYC.
