"Oh my how do I start this. . .this place was a hidden gem within a neighborhood and it was so quaint and cute!! We decided to sit outside as we did not make an appointment and we were a party of 5. Towards the end of the dining experience, we were all a little cold BUT that was on us. Pro Tip - Make an appointment as this place busy busy busy!!As soon as we were sat, they came out and gave us our menus and gave us fresh bread boules with a balsamic vinaigrette to dip the bread in. I thought that was a nice change to the usual olive oil with balsamic vinegar. Some of the people that I was with thought that it was too vinegary but i liked it as I LOVE balsamic vinegar. lol We placed our order and soon after, we got our food and let me tell you. . .silence enveloped our table as we started to dig into the food. And you know that is the best compliment that you can give to a restaurant. . .that silence fell upon the table once the food came. The food was so freaking good! I had the chicken piccata with linguine pasta. BUT I wished that they had just served it with plain spaghetti OR fettucini so that the pasta could've picked up more of the sauce. I seriously wanted to spoon up the sauce. But then again, I have yet to meet a piccata that I did not like. The food was amazing and everything came out quickly and everything was sooooooo delicious! The free bread was good BUT they needed to proof the bread a little longer as it was a very dense bread and I could tell that the boule was underproofed. Did I eat it even though it was under proofed? Heck yeah I did! Cuz I love bread. . .or rather I love carbs. . .LOL The service was great from the hostess to the server to the bus boy to the food runner. Everyone was very friendly and willing to answer any questions. If I lived in that neighborhood, I'd be in so much trouble as I would be here almost everyday! LOL Just come and eat here. You won't regret it!"

The XXX roll hit the spot, and the Firecracker roll which could use more heat ("Firecracker"). We caved and had a bottle of Momo Kawa sake. "Our cousin recommended this place for our date night. We arrived early for our reservation but were still seated quickly. We made it on time for happy hour so we ordered fish tacos, truffle tots and baked brie- all to share. The truffle tots were undercooked and tasteless. However, the fish tacos and baked brie were great. The baked brie is a MUST. So. Good. When we told the staff the tots were not good and we would like to order the Mac and cheese instead, they were on it. No issues at all. And the Mac and cheese was great. Drinks were great too. All in all, we enjoyed our meal and the staff."

"This was by far the best restaurant I visited in Denver. The vibe is sleek and cozy and there's a small bar seating area for 8 people. The tots were crispy and both of the seasonings were fantastic. Highly recommend grabbing one of the chocolate chip cookies. We made the mistake of skipping it and I regret it now lol."

"I was pleased with the takeout experience at Modern Market on Arapahoe Rd this afternoon. And here is how it went.I know this place gets a lot of online orders and door dash/Uber Eats orders. With knowing that however, I just showed up to order at the spot. It turned out to be a quick go in and leave experience.A few things I noticed:1. Garlic sweet mashed potatoes - This item is no longer on the menu as one of the sides. What? Instead, they only make white mashed potatoes. I'm a lover of sweet potatoes. Make it come back, pretty please!!2. If you order rice, know the fact that they premix it with quinoa so they can't separate the two. For me, I have quinoa allergy so having (quinoa) rice as the base will never be an option. Although the guy at the ordering counter didn't know this fact, the guy in the kitchen alerted me. Good catch I thought! I alternated it with cauliflower rice instead.3. The restaurant was spotless clean. I used the one of the restrooms and it was clean as well.What I got me is build-your-own bowl with ahi tuna as the main. This bowl exceeded my expectations. Tuna was perfectly cooked. The white mashed potatoes with garlic had the right amount of salt where it wasn't too salty. Seasonal pan-fried veggies were well-cooked to the point where they weren't mushy. Everything tasted good (except the little sesame sauce in a little container. I guess it was for the tuna but I didn't use it as the tuna was good by itself without any sauce. This sesame sauce which I tasted just a little bit was salt overload; glad that I didn't pour that over the tuna!!)Yeah, I needed a quick grab and go type dinner tonight so this was a good takeout experience. Now I know my go-to bowl!"

The restaurant was clean and it was easy to go up and order and then sit at the table and wait for your meal which is brought to you. Employees were friendly and were quick with any additional items you may need. They also serve beer and wine - frosted glasses were a perk. I'd definitely come back again and would love to try the salads. The pizza is very thin, so make sure you order enough!"

"Stopped into Birdcall because my friend was next door grabbing vegan food. I was thrown off a little bit by the ordering. I wasn't greeted ot anything so I had to interrupt everybody as they were preparing food for orders. I'm not sure if they take cash , you have to slide your credit card or debit card to order on their little digital pads, it was a little confusing. It was only confusing because it was my very first time, and I have to say I wasn't impressed. I ordered tots and they tasted good. They tasted like regular tater tots. I ordered two milkshakes and those were just fine too. Everything came out correctly but I probably won't be back, it just wasn't my thing. I hope that others will enjoy ordering the chicken here and chicken sandwiches. Nothing horrible went wrong and nothing over the top made me rave about this place so I wish you good luck."

"Hot sake was JUST what I needed after my partner and I went on a freezing date to the Blossoms of Light festival. The snow was beautiful but cold this particular evening. That made street parking pretty easy (one block down) when it would have been quite crowded on Colfax. We were seated immediately for dinner since there weren't many other people around.I was craving chirashi, when normally I'd have gotten a few sushi rolls. The hot sake and miso were a good way to warm my body before the entrée. The chirashi came "deconstructed" vs. the typical bowl format, which I thought was clever. Sashimi was fresh and filling, which is lowkey my concern because of price. Overall would come back here again!"

I don't know how many times I had passed by this place whenever I was in Cherry Creek. As much as I wanted to try it so badly, I got sidetracked each time. But finally, yesterday, I had a chance to check it out. And the experience was good. What I like about this place is the fact that they have several wines on tap. This is a huge plus for me. During a late lunch hour, on top of the several sides and the soup of the day (in a bowl) for us to share, I had to get me the Sauvignon Blanc on tap (they also have Pinot Grigio and Pinot Noir on tap.) What we got were...Cauliflower Risotto (side), Sweet Potato (side), Brown Rice (side) and Daily Soup (Thai Chicken Curry with Mushroom, Coconut and Lime), Sauvignon Blanc (tap) and Arnold Palmer. Let me rate each one (except Arnold Palmer as I didn't taste this one.)-Sauvignon Blanc: This is a decent Sauv.Blanc. Crisp and light. For $8, I'll go back here just for this as a casual lunch or even early dinner.-Cauliflower Risotto: Is a bit too salty to my liking and yet, overall, this is not a bad dish to order as a side. The portion size is decent.-Sweet Potato: Enjoyed this one. I have never had sweet potato cooked with bok choy and they are paired well in my opinion. Not too salty at all.-Brown Rice: This is a simply rice dish. Plain and well cooked. Decent is the best way to describe it.-Daily Soup: Like I stated above, it's a Thai Chicken Curry with Mushroom, Coconut and Lime. This is a soup, not a curry dish so it's very soupy (since it's got the curry flavor, I wish this was a bit more curry-ish dish to be frank so I wasn't super impressed with this one and yet, it wasn't a bad dish either.) The portion size is good for the kind of price ($7.95).*Note: all the sides are $5. I'd say eat outside as long as the weather permits. The patio has a good number of tables. Yeah, you'll hear the traffic noise from the 1st Avenue but it's not too bad. It's a good place for all occasions: family dining, ladies' get-together, date, or even solo."

"2 years later, it's time for an updated review! My friend and I walked to Lou's from our dance studio for lunch, and it's still one of the best sandwich shops in town. There are so many options, including groceries in their refrigerated sections. I ended up ordering a Muffeletta because I looove olives and it was recommended by one of the staff members there. The half portion was perfect. Apparently they do quarter portions as well. Definitely want to try some of their plates in the future. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. You can pair your sandwich with one of the beverages in their labeled fridges. Plenty of street parking in the area. Excited to come back and support Lou's again!"

The potion was huge so I am glad I did not get a large order. I even walked out with left overs and ate it the next day. They did still have some booths and a pool table that took a good bit on the dining part. The service was good, and the kitchen was semi-open so you could talk to the chef if needed. It was just us in that area of the restaurant. The starter caprese salad was really good. The pesto and aged balsamic was a really nice touch. The main, we got a few things. The sausage and peppers with fettuccini pasta was really good. It looked like meatballs, but it was sausage. It was nicely seasoned. We got a margherita pizza with sausage as well. It was definitely a cheese lover pizza. If we lived closer, I would order from them again."
