"Having walked by this restaurant several times, and seeing its look, ambience and menu decided to give them a try. I should note that Mexican style cuisine isn't among my top choices.Because of the conference I was attending, I arrived around 330pm ish and was told that I wouldn't have access to the dinner menu (because it wasn't dinner time) but I could have something from their "happy hour" menu.I must admit, I came very close to leaving but having seen their unique dessert offerings (during my research of the restaurant) and learning that I could order my dessert of choice, I thought "why not just get dessert". Along the way, I found a couple of items on the "happy hour" menu that sounded worth ordering. So while I was disappointed that I wouldn't get order what I had come there to try their happy hour menus isn't just beer and chips !I ordered:Bacon GuacamoleCeviche3 tacos: steak, carnitas and chickenA "sopes"-which I've never heard of let alone tried previously. And finally Tres leches for dessert. I'm super glad I stayed! I say the food here is a blend of modern, and traditional Mexican cuisine and more importantly super delicious! The bacon guacamole...I could eat that all day long without the chips. Lots of flavor and seemingly made from fresh avocados. The ceviche had amazing balance and not too acidic which is what I expect. The tacos nothing to complain about because they were so good...the "sopes" I'd describe as having a more bread like texture versus tortillas but filled with the same flavors as the steak taco. The Tres leches was a wonderful spongy cake with a kind of berry sauce...just the right sweetness and richness! Exactly what I wanted. To recap I don't know why I couldn't order from their dinner menu, a disappointment for sure... that said, strictly speaking it wasn't truly dinner time (5pm); first time that's ever happened to me...still the food, on their happy hour menu is varied and genuinely delicious...it filled me up and I walked away very satisfied.Service was good, my server had to cover a lot of ground because it was sparsely occupied at the time of my visit but got the job done.I'd recommend the happy hour menu for sure but I do wish I would have had the opportunity to try their full menu."
"Thomas was exceptionally kind and efficient. I dined here with friends, and we all enjoyed a delicious meal and had a fantastic time. The live music was soft, and the windows were open. The goat cheese appetizer is definitely a must-try! The tropical ceviche was incredible as well. It was fresh, spicy, sweet, and salty all at once. The beet and sweet potato chips served with the ceviche were genius. I can't wait to visit again!"

"Someone marked this place as closed, but they just moved. Now located on Colorado Blvd behind the Panera. They opened this location about a week ago and I had been meaning to check it out at the previous location but never got to. So today was the day. We ordered over the phone because their website ordering is a bit weird and confusing. They said it would be ready in 15 minutes and that was true. Super fast. The lady that took the order and was there for pickup was extremely nice. I got the Jalisco torta with steak and chicken and everything that comes on it. It was SOOO good. So messy too but well worth the mess. I especially loved the avocado and the spiciness of the chipotle. Great flavor. I am excited for this new location and will definitely be trying other tortas and items on the menu."
"I've been twice now and both times, I left happy and impressed. This last time my coworkers and I sat in the enclosed patio area - with the amazing views. We called ahead and made reservations with this request - likely not absolutely needed, but you know, just in case. Our waiter was great and brought out water, chips and salsa right as we were sitting down. Our party arrived in waves but he didn't mind, he was there, watching in the background. Not too slow, not too fast. Thanks, man. We ordered a variety of things from the tortilla soup to the combo meals. I usually take pics of everything but this time, we got so immersed in work conversation that I forgot. Could have been my ravenous hunger too. Who waits until 1:30 pm to eat? Chips and salsa are great and props to our waiter again, who monitored the chip levels and brought more before we even asked. It's the little things, y'all. I ordered a two item combo - chicken enchilada with green chili sauce and a tostada. They both were great. Something I didn't expect was the shredded chicken enchilada having refried beans mixed in with it. It caught me off guard, was tasty, but I'll likely ask for just the chicken next time, lol. Next time I go, my goal is to sit at the gorgeous bar inside. Def a solid Tex Mex / authentic Mexican spot. And, man, I so wanted to order a margarita - also next on my list!"
"This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the area, because of the excellent salsa, the gorgeous terraced patio, and the unusual recipes. The service is usually excellent and friendly, although we've occasionally been a little ignored. As mentioned before, I LOVE their chips and salsa. The chips are thin and crispy while the salsa reminds me of salsa made by my friend's Abuelita in Texas. All the food has been very good - I've never had a bad meal here. I admit that the recipes are a bit different from the standard fare, but in a way that I really enjoy. The Poblano Chile stuffed with garlic potatoes and served with sautéed veggies was incredibly good, and unlike anything I've had before. My son enjoyed his pork burrito and my hubby loved the fish tacos. We've tried many items and found all to be tasty and pretty healthy, overall. The Jalapeno Cilantro Margarita and other margaritas are excellent, too!"
"I've driven past El Taco De Mexico so many times and didn't visit until recently. We stopped by for a late breakfast on a Sunday morning and were able to find a table easily. The service was super quick so it was not an issue that they were busy with limited seating. The smothered potato breakfast burrito was absolutely delicious! It was a large burrito and could be easily split. I also enjoyed the horchata. It's a local Mexican spot that is no frills but I loved my experience and will certainly be back."
"Came here on a Tuesday for dinner. The staff were very attentive, and we were seated very quickly. They have both indoor and outdoor seating available. The drinks were great and super strong. The food is what you would expect. Not traditional Mexican food and nothing special or stand out about this place, but it was fine. I did take one star off because they were out of almost everything. Except to pay around 40-50$ per person for a few tacos and two drinks. I wouldn't come out of my way to come here but it was an okay spot. Overall 3.5/5"
"This place has a very cool atmosphere and a great vibe with just the people, the music and the inside decor. It's kind of divey but not if that makes sense. I met up w some old high school friends. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and the portion was enough for 3 people. It's was very cheesy and tasted okay, it definitely could use some more seasonings! For our appetizer we got the chips queso and three different salsas. I really liked it a lot. Our server Kevin was beyond amazing and just such great customer service. We had a few hiccups but he IMMEDIATELY rectified it. Overall a cool place but I probably won't be back just cause I'm super picky w my Mexican food. But great atmosphere. Oh I almost forgot I got the sopaphias those were soooo good"
"We stopped by to sample the Wagyu Beef Tacos and enjoy a Margarita. While the tacos were flavorful, their small size requires ordering multiple servings for a satisfying meal. Unfortunately, the margarita was underwhelming, possibly due to the liquor used; reconsidering their brand selection may improve the drink. As part of the Maven Hotel at Dairy Block, the establishment benefits from the hotel's open-air layout and lively decor.Highlighted promotions include Margarita Mondays and 'Bottomless Brunch' on Fridays through Sundays, which necessitate reservations. The restaurant also offers weekday lunch specials and Taco Tuesday. Proximity to the ballpark makes parking challenging; alternative transportation or an overnight stay is advisable."
"I found this hidden gem of a cozy spot, is highly rated here. It's family owned and they make killer tacos and Bistek ala mexicana. Offers free chips and two delicious salsa. Don't forget their refreshing horchata. BISTEC A LA MEXICANA / 12.99Chunks of steak cooked with chopped tomatoes, onions, and serrano served with refried beans, rice, potato rounds, and choice of tortilla. Twelve years old family owned. "I don't know if I stumbled in the hood but everyone knows that hood food is usually the best and today was Taco Tuesday!! $2.00 a taco, which I had 5 tacos. 2 carne asada, 2 chicken, and 1 al pastor. They had a salsa bar and I like to mix up the hottest hot sauce with the mildest one to give flavor to the taco. I really enjoyed my tacos and the price, the atmosphere not so much. It felt like the restaurant had never seen a beautiful black woman before and it showed with the staring from staff and patrons. With that being said, we got our order to go and we both enjoyed our meal. Thank you for the good food not so much for the service. My rating is based on the food only because if it were the other part it would've been a negative star."
"Great food, service and margaritas!! The carne asada was flavorful and tender. I would definitely go back."

Tamayo was recommended by our hotel. It was easy to get a reservation for our large group. Standouts were spicy mango margs and queso. The guacamole seemed processed with chopped veggies added.I had the mushroom tacos which were just ok IMO.Service was excellent and would like the opportunity to go back and explore more of the menu as I do think they likely have a lot of winners.

Alright so my wife and I are on whole 30! Final days on the reset and of course we decide to go out to eat with some family (why would we do this), I get here and immediately my mouth begins to water. The idea of a margarita with chips and salsa is simply to die for at this point, but I must say the food, and the service are worth the visit

I somehow haven't reviewed this place since they moved to a bigger and better spot nearby, so it's time I do that. Same great tortas, with a lot more parking and a bigger dining area now. What's not to like? Their torta menu is huge, and you can make your own too if for some reason they don't have the combination you want. They have a few other items too, but honestly I haven't bothered because the tortas are so good. I'm glad they made a successful trip over to Glendale CitySet.

A shame really, I believe they have what it takes to do really well here. Pros:1. Cadillac Margaritas are spot on2. Children's menu consisted of enchiladas, taco, burrito and a quesadilla with rice and beans3. Churros and Sopippas* were good and shareable Cons: $14 guacamole and it tastes like Wholly 1. Guacamole, it's not even made in house2. Mixed Fajitas as OK. Could be better, they only come with white onions which aren't even sautéed long enough for flavor. Bell peppers are extraWe came on a Sunday night and they were very busy. Waited the anticipated 50 minutes. Great ambition, amazing views of the Rocky Mountains, sunset pictures are amazing. Family friendly, and loud.

We went here for lunch today 7/9/24 and it was pretty good. We got there for an early lunch around 11 and looked like the firsts guests there. (We have been on a mission to find good Mexican food here and it's hard) We were seated fast and got nice cold water brought to our table which we decided to sit out on the patio and it was really nice plus they had umbrellas so was helpful with the sun out. The salsa wasn't the best salsa (just hard to find a really amazing salsa which has a good kick, :( so that was a bummer but I've had worse so it wasn't that bad but wasn't something I would want to go back and try again). The pulled pork tacos were great thought. It was done well and had a good flavor too and the beans were awesome and rice was different than what I'm used to but it was good. Every one was friendly and service was great too. We love to try new places and glad we stopped here to try. We will go back again to try something else but probably on our next vacation.

We stumbled across this restaurant by accident but so glad we did. We popped in (party of 2) on Monday at noon and the place was busy. About 5 booths inside and counter seating for about 6, then there are tables outside but only some are partially covered with umbrellas so if it's a hot one like today, you're going to be scorching. What I swallowed:*THREE TACO PLATE: I ordered the beef steak, tripe, and lengua. They were all pretty good. I asked for the tripe and lengua crispy and they tried their best. They were all still pretty good. The rice and beans also had good flavor without being salty.*HORCHATA: This drink was good although more sweet then it was cinnamony. They have a lot of variety of food items so definitely work checking out if you're in they area.

Great place for tacos with friends. I enjoyed their Hibiscus Limeade with the steak taco and eskites (street corn). We were able to be seated quickly with a group of 8, and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

3.5 stars. Driving back from Estes Park, my partner and I stopped by T/ACO for some... well, tacos. Interested by the name. We found street parking a few blocks down and walked here. Got chips and salsa, as well as steak, chicken, and pork belly tacos. They weren't especially memorable, but service was quick. I'd come back again just to try more options on the menu and take our time since we were in a rush this visit.

"Very unsuspecting spot from the exterior packing a ton of flavor. Chakas has a large menu with extremely fast service and very fair prices. The portions are huge and the food is packed with flavor. The California burrito was as big as the plate and loaded with meat. Then beautifully topped with the house green chili to bring it to the next level. Stop in here for a great lunch or quick dinner."
"I searched this place up wanting to get a quality smothered burrito experience that was also vegetarian-friendly. This was clearly the right place, with ample vegan variations on the menu (though I got mine vegetarian with a sprinkling of cheese on top). Options were distinctive, and I loaded up. My burrito was quite beautiful, and the sauce elevated the array of plant-based ingredients inside. A chocolate corn drink delivered the promised mix of flavors. I didn't need to add a lentil soup, and while it wasn't fancy, it was hearty and satisfying and lentil soup remains an underutilized food offering in my estimation. This place was in a fairly anonymous suburban area but was brightly decorated inside. I could have ordered a dozen other things if I'd had room."
"Talk about a great experience! The tacos were amazing and accurate to Mexico City. We had a few varieties of meat and they all hit the spot. The restaurant was clean and neat with music playing in the background at low volume. It really felt welcoming and the vibe was perfect. I loved it. The service was so amazing. They are professional and polite and inform you about any menu questions you may have. Overall, I'm coming back if I'm in the area. This place was amazing and tasty!"
"I've been here a couple times, hoping that it would get better but it's just gotten worse. Mexican rice taste like tomato sauce and yes I know it has tomato sauce in it but it's definitely not suppose to taste like it. The enchiladas I had were ok, I can make them better at home, however I did really like the refried beans. We had the Mexican eggroll appetizer those were really good as well, chips tasted like they were store bought but the salsa was decent. The waitress was ok (can't remember her name) thats how ok she was. The inside was the typical Mexican themed. Being a Mexican i expect more from a Mexican restaurant. Overall in my opinion it's not worth the time and money."
"This place is awesome, and the service is fast! I'm a fan of chips and salsa, and Los Dos Potrillos does not disappoint in terms of its chips and salsa. We probably had about eight bowls of the salsa because it was so good - and it had a kick to it. The portion sizes definitely were not small, either - I was stuffed by the end of the meal! I had the steak street tacos. The ambiance was decent, but it felt busy. We only had to wait around 10 minutes to be seated. Our server was very kind and made us feel right at home. He also let us know that they have a new location that opened up in Castle Rock - and he made sure to mention that the food there is just as good!"
"Came in on Tuesday- $1.50 per taco. They also have a salsa bar with pickled onions, roughly 10 salsas, & jalapeños. For $3 you can't beat it. The salsa was incredible, the giant jalapeños made the tacos exactly what I wanted. The tacos were big and filling. Will be back!"
"Still a great place for tacos and carnitas. It's great to see the original owner is still cooking and running around! I was hoping to get my usual buche tacos, but we were informed that they no longer serve buche as the new population of the very much gentrified neighborhood isn't interested in the popular and traditional Mexican food. I'm hoping my review speaks to the new tenants of the neighborhood in hopes that other things such as menudo doesn't also fall off of the menu. Instead of contributing to the fall of a historically Latinx/Xicano neighborhood, I ask that you please support, uplift, and uphold the traditions (in this case, food) of the area."
"Headed to a show at the DCPA and wanted to get some dinner. This was a pretty solid location and surprisingly not hard to get in on a Saturday night. Nice ambience and service with a smile and even a little joke here and there. I had the burrito with Carnitas and was very happy with it. The only thing that lost a star was the fact that my wife's to go container was Styrofoam. Sorry, but I'm one of those people."
"I was not expecting this caliber of food in Monument, CO. To be completely honest, I didn't have high hopes. Don't be fooled by the exterior of the restaurant--it's beautiful inside and the food is delicious! I'd expect this caliber of Mexican food in California--but definitely not in Colorado. Give it a try!"
"Los Carboncitos became my favorite Mexican restaurant in Denver a few years ago & they still haven't let me down! Amazing flavor, good heat & great service. Located a couple miles outside downtown Denver off 6th & Sheridan, this location is a hidden gem in an unbecoming little stretch of businesses with ample parking. They do great takeout, but dining in is even better! The food is outta this world - so authentic & full of flavor! The chips and salsa are complimentary & so fresh, the salsa has a kick! They also bring out 4 housemade hot salsas too, I love them!! Their tacos are simple & delicious, your choice of protein on homemade corn tortillas topped with onions & cilantro. I love the carnitas, chorizo, carne asada & pollo. Their enchiladas are sooo good bc they're not smothered with too much sauce or cheese, and they grill the corn tortillas before rolling the enchiladas so it has a great grill flavor! You can get half green & half red too, yum. All in all, this Los Carboncitos spot is easily my favorite & I hope you find your way there soon bc it's incredible.. don't limit yourself to Taco Tuesday bc the tacos every day at Los Carboncitos are fire!"
"Stopped in on a whim. Totally worth it. It's a hole in the wall kinda place, but the service and food were excellent! A must stop."
"You are greated right away by multiple people when you walk in. We sat in the bar area and enjoyed delicious margaritas that seemed to get stronger and stronger ()The atmosphere was wonderful. Our server was amazing and so pretty and even accommodating as we decided to sit outside on the patio after a few drinks. They have mariachi on Friday!! This place has been on my list for a while just because of that! They played so well and sang at every table.Perfect place for dinner with friends. We had a blast and will be back!"
"Best meal I've had in a while! I enjoyed the service, we were greeted, seated, and served promptly. The decor was eclectic and culturally aligned for lack of better words. I had the ceviche (not picture), dos combinaciones (included chile relleno, chicken tinga tostado, carne enchilada), and a glass of cranberry juice. All of it was delicious! It was flavorful and filling."
"I'm always looking for a good taco spot! I've walked by this place so many times but never went in. A friend wanted to go because she missed the locations in Texas so I went with her. And it was really good! We were shocked that we got served at the table we were sitting at and didn't have to order at the front. I didn't get the server's name but he was super busy and still provided us great service. He made me a virgin margarita that was delicious and the food was also very good. I will definitely be back!"
"I cannot speak much as to the vibe and service since every time I've had Los Carboncitos has been for take out or delivery. However, the food always delivers at a pretty reasonable price. Every time we order it, we have a good experience!"
"I was here for a business trip and this place looked like a good spot to watch Thursday night football that was close to my airport hotel. This place caught my eye, there were TVs playing football and basketball surrounding the bar so I grabbed a seat. The place was busy, both at the bar and tables. One of the bartenders came over and asked for my drink order and brought me a menu after I asked for one. I ordered the enchiladas plate and a glass of red wine. I wasn't expecting much from the wine at a sports bar (just wasn't in the mood for beer). I was expecting a great enchilada based on the name, it was good but just ok nothing special. The enchiladas themselves were good, but all the sides were really just filler. The rice had no flavor, lettuce was just generic shredded iceberg, and the pico was definitely mass produced elsewhere and shipped in.Right after I ordered a group of guys that seemed a little buzzed posted up at the bar next to me. Before that I had a good amount of space, but when my food came one of them kept bumping into me. I can't really blame the restaurant for the clientele that come in to watch games but I didn't stay to watch the end of the game cause I was uncomfortable, they weren't taking my polite hints that I didn't want to talk to them and they smelled. I could've moved, but after sitting at the bar watching the bartenders make drinks I wasn't inclined to order anything else. Any mixed drink had some artificial color or sugary looking ingredients. Mostly I saw them pouring beer and shots, so that meant more people getting buzzed which was not what I was in the mood to be around. If you decide to come to this restaurant, I would stick to beer for drinks. They do have a decent selection on tap. The food was fine but nothing to write home about. Drink prices were pretty cheap, so if you're looking for a good place to watch the game and not spend a lot of money on beer, this would be the spot. If you're looking for good Mexican food and cocktails there are probably better options in the area."
"I have LOVED Moosehill Cantina since I was in high school. The food is always on point! They have some of the best chili rellenos and green chile in Colorado! On my most recent visit I finally tried Moose milk with espresso and omg it was so good! Can't wait to come back again, FOR REAL!!"
"I have fond memories of Tacos Jalisco from years ago. We stopped in again recently and it did not disappoint. This place has great food. I've never ordered anything that wasn't wonderful. We dropped in early in the afternoon on a weekday and there was no wait for a table. We didn't realize that they are open for breakfast and will definitely need to do that sometime. They charge for chips & salsa here, which seems odd compared to a lot of other local Mexican restaurants. But, that was perfect for us. Who wants to fill up on chips when the food is so good here? With the construction next door, parking is a little challenging. But, if there aren't spots in the lot, there is street parking nearby."
"This place is really great for covered patio seating, for margaritas, and for tacos. We've been twice and both times were pretty great! (Though the first time there was an issue with fruit flies... the second time they appeared to have gotten that issue under control) We recommend couples ordering two different tacos since you can't mix and match, but this way you can try the fish and the shrimp (which is what we did the second time) and be doubly happy! The queso with guac is also not to be missed - sounds odd but the creamy cold guac is a nice foil to the hot gooey queso... and the chips are made in house, strong enough to scoop all the deliciousness up! Margaritas (house, passionfruit, and strawberry) are tasty but one is all I needed, and a walk around the neighborhood afterward helped this lightweight feel OK about driving. Don't sleep on Perdida!"
"This is a casual restaurant serving traditional Mexican fare (you can tell by the name) and margaritas in a lively festive atmosphere. The menu covers the staples; tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, etc. They also offer some vegetarian and vegan options. The plates I've ordered have arrived with fresh and flavorful ingredients delivered by a friendly wait staff. I've had the beef enchiladas with rice and beans and both the steak and chicken fajitas (love the tortillas). Tasty salsa with nacho chips to round it out. Good stuff.Easy parking."
"I got to experience this gem on National Margarita Day! I had their spicy margarita, which was perfection!! Not too spicy, just how I like it! Their chip and guac is some of my favorite!! I also had their fish tacos, which were yummy! The service was excellent and I can wait to go back because I want to try the ceviche and the chicken tortilla soup! The decor and ambience is super fun too!!"
"First time to eat here after walking by a million times since we moved here a few years ago. Honestly, not sure the appeal of this place. I guess it's pretty cheap, but I didn't realize it was a poor man's Fuzzy's. Service was friendly enough, but that was about the extent of anything decent. Food was mediocre at best. Chips tasted like they came out of a bag, and salsa was cold and served in a disposable plastic container. None of my three tacos tasted anything other than something you'd get off the $1 menu at Taco Bell. My wife's quesadilla was so greasy, when she picked it up, her hand was glossy and needed to be wiped down. It was food, and as of now, it appeared slightly edible, but it's difficult to give any more credibility than that."
