"Good place to snag a beer and a great spot to play pool and catch vibes. Cash only, don't forget that part. Nice sloans lake local ish vibe (lol). Colors aren't allowed. Wish they put a sign up or something to let people know though."
"Fun spot filled with neighbors who are just as likely to strike up a conversation with people passing through as they are their next door friends."
"Dive Inn is just a cool, inexpensive, large, unique bar. It's a must check out spot in Denver, IMO!!They have TVs with sports on often as well as pool, foosball, ping pong. and they sometimes have bag toss/cornhole outside. Not sure if they stopped that or if it was because last I went was after summer. Anyways an interesting bar, good prices, and lots to do inside! Oh and they do have some foods, but more like simple bar food -- the kitchen is super small!"
"Definition of a dive bar. Small, dark, full of locals. There's a long bar, dart boards, vintage arcade games, juke box, and a pool table. Out front is a patio with couches and a few tables. Bartenders are friendly but, service can be slow on Friday and Saturday nights because of how busy it gets. It's a great place to hangout though!"
"Great dive bar! Bartender was friendly and drinks were tasty! Definitely a fun place to sit at the bar and look at all the random sh*t on the walls. Looks like they do live music as well. Probably pretty fun."
"A dirty, grimey place with great staff very friendly and always very nice We've been in several times four the outstanding Philly cheesesteak sandwiches that are hefty and tasty. The fries our skin on as if they've cut them fresh and the onion rings are crispy and crunchy like they should be.Definitely a place of various culture and a great place to watch interesting people while you're eating"
"I wish to encourage dog owners to come and have a Beer or two to support EastFax! EastFax USED to serve really good pizzas made locally, They now do not due to the health rules regarding food and dogs.EastFax specifically chose having dogs be allowed over serving pizzas. I would rather have a dog friendly bar vs a bar that has food. You can get food anywhere, dog friendly bars are few and far between. So Thank You EastFax for providing a space for us to have a few beers with our doggies."
"A fun place. I mean, the ambience is primitive, but that doesn't bother me in the least. It adds to the charm. It's Mexican bar food but with a bit more attention paid than just throwing some chips and salsa in a pile. The sauces seem homemade, the tortillas have a nice fresh texture and the meat is properly cooked and well seasoned. Look at the drizzle of crema in some other pics! Props for using crema. Don't use a 13 year old reviews of the fish tacos. One last thing--are the staff young party people? Maybe! But I am here to party so that's not a problem at all. Enjoy the funky vibe and the well made food and have a tequila for me."
"After attending an event I was too wired to go home so as I'm headed home I remember this place could be open. It's a very laid back bar and the bartender I believe named Brian was very courteous and ensured I was taken care of."
"When I imagine my perfect, usual day, I imagine it's a relaxing Sunday where you haven't had to do too much that day, spent in the company of a good friend.I imagine walking to my local bar and having a whiskey. I imagine a friendly bartender with a local kindness, a sporting event on TV with no sound, and a diverse mix of folks standing inside - regulars and out of towners. Patrons, both young and old. That's exactly what I experienced at 715. It's located in RiNo around the Five Points area, just in eyeshot of downtown Denver. This area is vibrant, having various types of bars, eateries and small shops nearby. Stepping inside I was immediately in love. It's got a divey feel, but super clean and welcoming. The Avs game was playing on the TV. Inside you could hear people laughing, a woman yelling a joke, and a group of guests trying to goad the bartender into taking a shot, and settling in a shot of Red bull instead. I found myself super impressed with the selection. For example, on the top of the top shelf they had Pappy 12 year for $20 or 15 year for $30. They also had your standard fare of specials, wells and plenty of affordable, local beer. I'd always wanted to try Pappy, so I snagged the 12 year, and it was great. The bartender made great conversation throughout my stay, but wasn't intrusive. Everyone in the bar was kind, as well. Had I had the ability, I would have stayed longer. My trip to Denver was a quick one on this occasion, but a highlight was my trip to 715. I will certainly return, and if you are looking to grab a drink at a real, local spot, don't sleep on the 715."
"And just like that, Bannock Street Garage has become one of my favorite little dive bars in Denver! It's located right by my loft but has lots of free & easy street parking around. Great drinks, friendly staff, games, & patios... what more do you need?!It's one of the cleaner dive bars in Denver too... high ceilings with more windows & it's brighter than most. The back door is a big garage door (hence the name) and it's often open to let in a lot of fresh air & natural light! They have heaters on the patios in front & out back too. The head bartender (Ang) is sooo sweet, great memory & always so accommodating. They have a great selection of liquor & beer (bottle or draft) & the prices are always great too!! I love playing being able to play pool & darts so close to home in a bar that feels like a little home away from home :)All in all, Garage Bar is my new favorite spot in Denver... totally my style with things to do, great drinks, and most importnatly, amazingly sweet staff!"

A really nice neighborhood saloon! Wonderful atmosphere. There were maybe 8-10 people there including the 2 of us. I really liked the music and Colorado decor. It felt very homey.

This is a Florida themed dive bar in the middle of Denver, Colorado. Who knew this spot existed?! The interior is so kitschy. There's literally a boat inside that you can sit in with friends. The bar looks like it's inside a yacht, and has boat seats. There are life jackets you can put on to pretend that you're really on a boat. There are fake parents on the ceiling, seashells, mermaids, all kinds of tropical decor. The best part about this bar, is that there is a lot to do! There are multiple rooms with cornhole, pool, ping-pong, and foosball. There is indoor and outdoor seating. There is a jukebox and virtual golf too. Drinks are cheap, and there are daily drink specials. I ordered a blueberry Moscow mule, and it was $6.50. This is a great place to come with friends for a casual night. This is also a great place to host a going away party (Bon Voyage!).

Very old venue that I believe dates back to the '30's or something close to it. You can tell that there has been a lot of drugs done in this place over the years once it became a bar/music venue. We went on a quiet night (only 3 other people there). For some reason the heat was turned up to 80 degrees. I'm sure the place is much more fun during an event, but wasn't the best to hang when it was empty.

Cool little spot. Definitely a dive bar but great vibes. They had some great live music and the beers were not that expensive. They are open late and the bartenders are very friendly as well.

"We stumbled across this little dive bar last fall while on a road trip through the mountains and decided to check it out. Walking into this spot is like traveling back hundreds of years. The floor of the entrance is slanted towards the river, the walls are covered with graffiti and stapled-on dollar bills, and the only source of heat comes from a wood burning stove located in the center of the dining area.We ordered a Moose Drool and an Antler Ale from the lovely bartender and sat next to the stove, trying to thaw out. The fantastic aroma of the burning wood filled the bar, mingling with the delicious scent of freshly cooked burgers. While we didn't eat anything this time, the burger that came out of the kitchen was mountainous and made us wish we hadn't had lunch right before. We chatted with the locals who had wandered across the street for a mid-afternoon happy hour while the bartender stoked the fire, and sipped our icy cold brews, enjoying the camaraderie and friendliness of the small town before continuing on our trip. I can't wait to travel back in time again!"
"I found my way to G' Ducks after a colleague suggested we meet here for a business dinner. "What the heck do I care?" I thought, "It's going on the corporate card!" When I pulled up to the parking lot, admittedly, I was a little concerned about its location. It is situated in the back corner of a run-down strip mall, complete with Vietnamese fast food and a very shady liquor store. But since I trusted my colleague's judgment, I decided to take a step inside anyways. Upon stepping into this restaurant I was shocked to find it so upscale! Elegant chandeliers, marble floor, and a large mahogany bar complete with leather bar stools! As I was taking it all in I was promptly greeted by the very friendly Maître d' before being led to my colleague, who was already situated in a large corner booth. The wine steward was very attentive and suggested a rare bottle of French wine. This paired wonderfully with our appetizer which, unbeknownst to me, was the reason for the restaurant's name: Fois Gras! It turns out the Chef de Cuisine (Girard) is from France and happens to specialize in Duck preparations. My filet mignon came perfectly medium-rare, and the garlic mashed potatoes were nothing sort of heavenly! My colleague elected to order the 42 ounce porterhouse, and he seemed to thoroughly enjoy his meal. I was able to wash down my meal with a whimsical house specialty drink called "The roaring lion". Ah who am I kidding I had several... it was on the corporate card! Although for both of us we spent less than $60, not too shabby.G' Ducks is a hidden little unassuming gem where you can have a nice romantic dinner, an upscale night out with some friends, or a gourmet meal you will not forget. Do not hesitate to give this place a try."
"Old school bar where everyone knows you. Heads up the kitchen does not stay open that late if you're looking for food. No hype, no overpriced drinks, and no frills. 4 stars because the kitchen wasn't open at 10pm on NYE"
"A great local dive and music venue. Nothing more, nothing less. It's not trying to be anything more than it actually is. And that's why this place rocks.$10. Cash. At the door. You've been warned. The little abode on S. Broadway books local bands galore. It's a great opportunity to watch live music on the cheap, while discovering a band you probably wouldn't have heard of before. We came here this past Friday to see a local band we really like, Star Garbage (formally known as Babe Grenade). They played a great set, then the bands Honey Blazer and Space In Time performed. Overall, good sound and an eager audience made for a really fun night.$10 for three local bands? Count me in. Cheap drinks and a lively atmosphere make the experience all the more enjoyable. Wouldn't be surprised if large acts played here back in the day before catching their big break."
"Want to wake up after a long night and do it all again? This is THE dive bar for you!The creepy factor is just enough to be fun (bats and scary masks hang from the ceiling), although you may have a moment of pause wondering if a monster bash will happen before the night is through. The live was top notch - soulful blues with upbeat rock mixed in, and a bar that really appreciates and promotes tipping the band. Servers were friendly and hopping, always attentive to patron needs while not suffering any fools. Drafts featured local brews and the majority of patrons are locals, adding to the feeling of having a great night with your new friend crew. Go ahead and belly up to the bar - they don't bite unless..."
"Great place to grab a few drinks before a game. Close to Coors field and plenty of parking. The gent attensing to everyone was friendly, informative, and pretty easy at in this girl's opinion.Later the same evening place was absolutely packed so we walked around Octoberfest a bit."
"Wow!! WHAT A FIND!! Gotta be in the top 3 dive bars on Broadway. Dropped in last night, walking in this afternoon as soon as finish this review. Open seven days a week, open from 9am to close. Two pool tables, locals and looky-loos and the very best damn bartender...she works hard, suffers no fools and knows the name of every one within an hour. I intend to be a regular. Give this place a whirl."
"We were looking for a place to play some pool closer to my side of town and we found The Frontier Club. Popular little place with a lot going on. Pool, Live music on the weekends, Sports and a diverse clientele. We did not expect such a fun evening when we arrived not knowing there would be live music, busy pool tables and new people to converse with. The staff is "On It" with good service and a welcoming smile. No cover charge just come on in. East of Tower on Colfax Road. See you at The Frontier Club for some Billiards. SYOY Too."
"We drive all the way from South Aurora to get the basic delicious bomb ass cheeseburgers from Candlelight. It is one of our go to bars when we are out and about in Denver too. The crowd sometimes can get a little annoying on Friday/Saturday nights but otherwise, great patrons. The burgers are where it is at. Always served with a side of pickles, raw white onion and jalapenos. Basic and delicious. Makes me want to go there again soon."
"A hidden gem. We came here for billiards and were not disappointed. They have four pool tables, all of which are free! They also have free darts and foosball, so plenty of fun and free activities! They also have a big buck hunter game which we had a blast playing. They do ladies night on Wednesdays along with karaoke. We'll have to come back!!"
"This is what it is. A quaint old school dive bar (I say "dive bar" with much affection). It's clean, drinks are cheap, and it's dark inside. A pool table, juke box and live music on the weekends. They also do free hot dogs and hamburgers Saturday afternoon just like any family non-corporate type joint might do back in the day. So yeah, I'm a fan. Just as an fyi, THERE IS NO SMOKING ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING ANYMORE. thank gawd."
"It was my dream back in the 90s to open a coffee shop within a bike shop. After all, what gear head doesn't love her triple shot half-caf mocha latte?? Well the dream was realized, even if I want the one to open that shop. Bike need a little work? Drop it off in the shop.... Then head right over to the TuneUp for a cup of your favorite Java. Cool atmosphere, friendly staff, and plenty of room for all!"
"A classic dive bar... Pretty strong drinks... Pool tables... Bar games... and a troft with ice in the men's room. They have a nice long bar with tons of nick nacks behind it. The place is a good size with lots of space. It's a cool place to chill with locals and blue collar types. Check out the wall of photo's with all the regulars from over the years named "Casual Casualties"... This kinda shit cracks me up.My only complaint about this dive is the parking situation or lack there of. Don't even think of parking in the King Soopers lot across the street. You will be towed faster than it takes the bartender to make a pitcher of bloody beers. Other than that not a bad little place to checkout from time to time."
"PS Lounge, more like PS I Love You.I don't make this proclamation too often, but PS Lounge is timeless. A staple on East Colfax for 40 years. The owner, Pete, is there every single night. Ladies are still greeted with a rose and every customer with a complimentary shot. It's a [high] dive where you're guaranteed a good time. The drinks are cheap. You can stick with a can of beer or a surprisingly solid selection of whiskey. My go-to lately at PS Lounge has been a neat pour of Old Grandad. It just seems appropriate when I'm there.I enjoy the versatility of the bar. A group of four snuggled up in a booth gazing over the old photographs plastered on the wall. Pool rats hoarding the pool table all night. A couple having an intimate conversation at the bar. The loud college kids feeding the jukebox. PS Lounge is a place for all.The New York vibes are really special. They're still a cash only bar and somehow it doesn't irritate me. What's not to love about this Denver institution?Don't ever change."
"28APR2024 (2 stars)Went here for a birthday celebration.- They allow smokers to move from the front patio to the rear with lit cigarettes.- No Apple Pay.- 4% credit card surcharge. Just raise your prices!- Very noisy. Difficult to have conversations.12DEC2017 (3 stars)Much better. No more cigarette smoke. Lighter, brighter. I think the prices are bit high for a dive bar.05SEP2011 (1 star)Dark. Really dark. It was a good thing that I brought my seeing-eye dog. And, the smell of stale cigarette smoke was gag inducing. Not really my kind of place."
"A quaint little dive bar that has decently priced beverages and a lovely crowd. You are sure to have a good time here! I have only had great experiences here. The crowd is a mixed bag which makes it that much more entertaining!"
"Great bar to swing by and have a few quick drinks. Bartenders are great & they have fun decor."
"The wife and I walked in and up to the bar, the bartender said a surprised hello, it had been a few months since he'd seen us. "Double tall whisky sodas?" he asks, confirming our usual drink. We squinted and pulled our mouths into tight smiles, "No," we said, "just singles. We want to take it easy and just give our dog another hour before we pick him up from daycare down the street." He takes two pint glasses from the stack, fills them with ice, grabs a bottle of our usual whisky, and as he pours he looks us straight in the eyes never breaking eye contact. "Oh no....I accidentally poured doubles..." he said as he made us our usual drink and we broke out in laughter. And don't worry, he did not over-serve, and didn't do anything we were not perfectly fine with - that's just how this place is. You're a friend at the Duck. Their love language is being a little sh*t, sometimes, and aren't we all like that from time to time? The staff is always welcoming and friendly - no matter who it is. Everyone's funny and friendly and treats you like they've known you forever. It's got a super diverse crowd - you'll find old guys who started drinking at noon, random bikers, and corporate happy hours. It's a wonderful melange of humanity. The food truck that's out front half the time is a cornucopia of fried delights, and they've got a claw machine filled with - you guess it - rubber ducks. We're suckers for dive bars, and The Dirty Duck delivers in every way. So the next time you might be passing by, do what my wife and I do, turn your head, find a wry smile, and ask "Do you wanna Duck it?" and then answer yes. Because that's what you should do."
"Denver, Colorado ---"Nob Hill Inn" is the 1st "real" vintage bar in Denver I experienced ... it is a "bar" that serves liquor to "local characters" not a lot-of-towner's (like "Run-A-Way Bill") ..."Buckhorn Exchange" is liquor license #1 and oldest restaurant (that serves alcohol) with a liquor license ..."My Brother's Bar" is the oldest bar ((that serves food) that does not LK anywhere old at all ...bartender Nancy is a true neighborhood bartender customer Colby is a true local customer & taught me a lot of trivia ..."Knob Hill Inn" opens at 8am from tradition ... politicians started their day here on there way to the Capital & again on their way home "Run-A-Way Bill" was here! 08.04.16"
"If you like strip mall dive bars then this is the place for you!We had pool league here and it was a blast! The gal behind the bar was super nice, the bar even bought our team a round of shots! Cheap drinksJukeboxPool tablesVending MachineThey don't serve food, but they let you bring food in."
