"Just...GO!!!Ok, if you want more than that, I'll share a bit about our experience. My brother sent me a bottle of their Colorado Whiskey for Christmas. It was a hit at a Whiskey party at my house with some tough customers. We sampled 26 bottles and this came in third behind Garrison Brothers and Van Winkle 12-year-old. That's pretty hefty company for 291. Many of the guys had no idea it was a rye. It's so smooth and balanced. WOW! So, I had to go! We had a glorious tasting tour conducted by the effervescent Kandi. We added on the E whiskey too. That was so good, I brought a bottle home. She also mixed us a couple of lovely cocktails after the flight. This place has got it going ON. The story of the founder and how he started the company is great too. We enjoyed the whiskeys and the stories. Thank you, Kandi. We'll be back. You made us feel right at home!"
"This is my second time doing their tour. It is always great, and I learn a ton. The whisky I really enjoy! They also have an agave spirit that is so good if you like tequilas. I will be back, especially when you open up next door!"
"This place is a hidden gem! It's a little of the beaten path but worth coming to for any event. The space is absolutely HUGE! It's 3 stories with something different on each level. You could easily come for a few drinks with friends or host a large party with 40-50 people (maybe more!). I can hear for a farewell gathering for a co-worker and I was on the top floor. The floor we were on was great. They had pool tables, ping pong tables, dart boards, chess, and fill food and drink menu. This place was really awesome. I'd recommend checking it out for the next outing you're looking for."
"5/5 would recommend for anyone to come & do their spirit house tour (not a haunted house tour lol) which is only $25 bucks per person with TONS of different spirits to try! The tour lasts about just over an hour & will definitely leave you tipsy & feeling good. The vibe in here is spectacular, great music & the restaurant is very clean in general. Our host was "Eric" and he is absolutely amazing! Made us laugh the entire hour + of the spirit house tour & was absolutely spectacular customer service. Didn't try any of their food here but they do have a URL code come dinner time for the menu to include various drinks."
"Good cocktails and great service! The only thing missing was a bourbon. Hopefully they have some aging in barrels to add to their menu soon!"
"My friends and I stumbled in for a quick pre-dinner drink and the bartenders immediately greeted us and made us feel welcome. They were so friendly! The excitement surrounding their grand opening in a new location was palpable, and it was fun to be a part of it.Two of us ordered drinks from their grand opening menu, one gin and one vodka, and both were delicious. It was hard to choose - they also had a pineapple rum drink and an Old Fashioned that I need to go back for. One of my friends asked if they could make her a alcohol-free beverage and the bartender was able to whip up a yummy concoction on the spot, which we appreciated!Overall a great little spot and a perfect addition to the neighborhood. We'll be back!"
"If the warden on death row were to serve my last alcoholic beverage, it would definitely be the Pandan Chichi: Vodka, pineapple juice, pandan and macadamia nut syrup, cream of coconut. In destination Lakewood, Colorado tiny and adorable Balmer Peak is my favorite spot to enjoy a cocktail. With board games and trivia nights, it makes drinking fun again. Here is where I became acquainted with The Pie Queen "Homemade pies by an award-winning pastry chef and drag queen." She hosted trivia and sold the most amazing lemon berry pie! Friday evenings until 7 pm, the Off the Hook fish and chips food truck is there. This is a dog-friendly multi-generational gathering spot, loved by many.!"
"Love Bear Creek. I've tried at least a half a dozen different cocktails here and would recommend them all! In fact, that's why I love this place so much: you can get something new or different every time and still be happy with your order. I'll share what I've had and loved, but I have no doubt I would enjoy their entire (huge) cocktail menu. - red panda bear (wow!) - bourbon highball- bear's knees- bold fashioned - south Acoma mule- Denver donkey"
"This place is Awesome! They have tons of spirits distilled here! Great Atmosphere! They have Whiskey, Bourbon, Vodka and Gin. They have plenty of parking and it is a beautiful facility. There is an attached Tap Room which is also Awesome and they have a Food Trailer out front. They have a big screen showing movies out front."

"Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whiskey is barely enough." - Mark TwainI prefer a good whiskey on the rocks, so when I had an opportunity to visit Distillery 291 during a work trip, I was very happy to stop by after my shift. The entrance area is cozy and I received a friendly greeting from the bartender. I have a tendency to get a flight (or two) with a new visit. I think I've earned an achievement badge for flight experience at tasting rooms. I'm not sure if I'm gonna have time to return, so why not try a bit of everything before flight departure?Beyond the bar confines, the space opens into the lounge area, where you can get a closer look of the distillery and white oak barrels. Stay for a moment to wax nostalgic of times before influencers, COVID-19 quarantines, and choosing beggars.Small batch, nano, or micro operations are very niche and I appreciate the local products they offer. If I was in town again, I would stop by Distillery 291 again.

This place is so chill. Going from Stranahan's to this place was a definite gear shift but I loved the smaller environment, got to talk to other locals, the tasting was incredibly reasonably-priced and the Rye was incredible.Bartender was super kind, knowledgeable, and enjoyable to talk to!I am very glad we made the trip over to this, sorta, hole-in-the-wall place in an industrial area - well worth the trip. Do more than one flight - they .5 oz pours so you can really sample a LOT!

What a beautiful hidden gym!! Colorado Springs is my home away from home. I enjoyed this place so much the drinks are amazing and I love a good HH so this place was right up my alley. The place smells so good of Whiskey as it should after all that's what they specialize in!! They have a full bar downstairs where they serve any drink you can think of as well as many delicious signature drinks. They have a room you can rent to throw private parties and a game room on the third floor. If you are ever in the Springs this is definitely a place where you will have a wonderful time.

The Family Jones Spirit House is serving up craft small-batch spirits with lite bites in a fun and funky setting in Denver and you'll want to add it to your list of places to try.My friend and I came in for a tasting (highly recommend doing at least once) one afternoon where you get to learn all about the distillery's history, approach to making their assorted spirits, and of course trying all of their signature series. Their spirits span vodkas, whiskey, and gin and include snacks from the kitchen as well as a brief tour of the upstairs distillery room. If you do a tasting you get first dibs on dinner seating as well as a discount on food which my friend and I opted to do. If you're looking for a full sit-down heavy meal, this isn't the place for you, but if tapas style is good for you you'll be in luck! Everything was fresh and local and super delicious!Whatever you like to eat or drink, there is something for EVERYONE at the Family Jones.

So, total disclosure, we are massive fans of Ballmer Peak. This is their second location and we are over the moon! There's so much space - bring all your friends! The craft cocktails are solid and there are so many new additions since our last visit. I tried the Ring x7 Banana Foam today and holy shnikes, it was YUM. My dude drank his usual, (double) Mai Tai - always good. Come say hi to Eric and Austin and congratulate them on a fabulous second location! Yay for another fabulous craft cocktail location in Lakewood!

Can I hear it for Vanessa? Seriously. 7 years with this company and her pride for the whiskey they produce and the experience they provide is beaming, and it truly MADE my experience at Spirit Hound. I'm a well "heel"ed (dog pun) whiskey nerd who's typically as skeptical of craft spirits as a dog is of the mail person, but Vanessa made that all fade in just a few minutes with the exceptional service and INCREDIBLE knowledge she shared. I had lots of questions and she was visibly excited to hear them, delivering every answer in the most gleeful way that left me appreciating the work done in this distillery and truly excited about it all. Best of all, as our conversation with her progressed over the the pours, she appreciated the sincere interest and found ways to heighten the experience with surprises along the way that catered to our level of enthusiasm.Seriously. Send her out into the whiskey world. She's one of the most prideful ambassadors I've come across in quite some time. On to the whiskey itself... I've been a fan of the American Single Malt category for a long time. For me, bourbon has become relatively boring, and this represents the next whiskey frontier to be explored. I enjoy celebrating those who have chosen to go in that direction, and Spirit Hound is definitely one of them with a lot of merit in their program. We started with a sample of barrel 401 which lived up to the eloquent tasting notes in the menu and then moved on to sample a few other single barrels of the ASM, followed by a cask strength expression and some rye and bourbon. ASM is where they shine and I really enjoyed all of the ASMs we sampled. The rye hit me in the right way on the nose but left me wanting a bit more on the palate, and the bourbon was a bit lost after the bolder flavors of the others.I'm in the process of backing off the quantity of alcohol I consume for health reasons and Vanessa was able to customize the flight experience to meet the needs and allow me to explore more of what this great distillery has to offer. The service and spirits, and I mean the whiskey and those of the staff here, were all at such a high level here that I can't wait to tell my friends in the area to visit. Truly a remarkable evening, due in very large part to Vanessa.

Great little spot my husband and I came across right down the street from where we live! The atmosphere is relaxed and casual with a cozy sitting area inside or picnic tables you can hang out at outside. Service was amazing and they have tiki nights as well as trivia games for everyone! The seasonal drinks were delicious and the quality of the ingredients are excellent.

Excellent whiskey. Great tasting room. Helpful staff. What's not to like about Bear Creek Distillery. I tried a couple whiskey iterations when I visited for the second time, including a limited edition stout barrel aged whiskey. My clear favorite was the rye. It is good enough to sip straight, but it would also make for an excellent Old Fashioned. I went with the straight sipping on this visit.

"Deviation is excellent! I love this spot for some crafty distillery drinks! They have nice sets, too, that are great for gifting! The menu is very unique, which I really appreciate. Like a bacon churro old fashioned, mango lassi, and sesame -- you don't see stuff like that normally! The herbaceous gin was my first bottle purchase there and I'm not even typically a gin gal!!! It was THAT good. I am, however, a herbaceous drink lover. They are good with giving small samples, which is really nice to just let customers try and enjoy and have a reason to remember the place because they had such a good time. We have so many options, just let bartenders serve their customers without stupid rules and so I love that about this place. You have to find them in the alley, so it's tricky, but worth it! When you're on Blake, you turn right after Foraged restaurant and go down the alley until you find it! The space is nice inside/outside with some spots in both areas and and upper level inside, as well. The first time I heard of Deviation was for a Yelp event! So, I'd say that event should have paid off for them! And they sold lots of bottles that night, as well. Why haven't they had another event?!?! Please let me in again, Matt, if/when that happens!!!Top notch spot - 100."
"The hubs and I got a deck of cards for a local Denver promotion and Rising Sun happened to be one of the BOGO specials in the deck. It was smart advertising as I hadn't been familiar with the distillery before. We came this past weekend and sampled our way through a fraction of the menu.I started with the lemon ginger shrub and added gin and the hubs got the dirty old man which was essentially an old fashioned. And then just to sample more, we got a 3 shot flight that included green tea, hibiscus-lavender and coffee vodka shots. I've not really been a vodka sipping sort of a gal so this was a new experience for me. The flavors in the shots were intense and I honestly couldn't do the coffee past one sip. The hibiscus-lavender was my favorite and had a sweeter finish. The green tea I diluted over the leftover ice from my delicious lemon ginger shrub cocktail. The bartender was really friendly and my husband and her chatted about flavor combinations and distilling until we had to leave for dinner reservations."
"Haven't been here since Covid, but I'm glad it's still opened, quaint little bar in Littleton. Sit outside it's better if Colorado weather is decent. @Cholorado serves the delicious appetizers and food for this establishment. Be sure to check them out!My favorite drinks here are their Old Fashion and now the 52 Ford. Our favorite food here are definitely the tacos , the bbq wings which they don't serve dued to a National Chicken wing shortage. Other than that to be honest, all the food is worth getting depending on your taste or craving. They also serve, N/A drinks for our DD designated drivers, and have a nice selection of cocktails and spirits. The DJ tonight was way too loud for the inside! Nice guy though"
"Great little gem. I ordered an old fashion and it was great! They don't serve food only drinks but check to see if they will have a food truck on location. If they do have a food truck on location order your food early because when we went we stood in line for fish and chips because it was that popular. It is small inside and some tables outside but the bartenders were working hard and provided great customer service.Wide variety of moonshines and cocktails to select from. Would love to see a butterscotch moonshine on their menu one day."
"Our group of 6 had so much fun on this tour and tasting event. $20 per person and you get $10 off a bottle. This would be an excellent idea for birthdays, team building, or when you are hosting out of town guests. Why had we not done this sooner? Very informative and a great way to learn about and sample spirits that you may have not enjoyed before. We left with a bottle of the Summer Gin and the Peach Whisky and plans to come back for a future cocktail class, Cheers!"
"Such a gooood time here! Did a tour and the tour guide was very informative and after we got to hang out at the bar area and play games. We were so happy to see mancala as it's our favorite. The old fashioned cocktails were *chefs kiss*. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. When I'm back in Denver again, I'd definitely revisit."
"Decided to book a tour here versus a bigger distillery and it did not disappoint! Our tour guide, Dave was super knowledgeable and we got a great behind the scenes look at the process. The cocktails they serve are fantastic. Nothing like finding and off the beaten path gem!"
"Staff was incredible! Very nice place with a beautiful outdoor patio. Great drinks & again, the staff was above & beyond great to us as we were from out of town for a few days. Strongly recommended."
"They distill all their stock in house and it's delicious. Flights available. 2oz drinks for a great price. Zachary was so dope! Honestly, one of my favorite spots I've been to in Denver and I've been here a handful of times. Definitely recommend."
"Another Peyton favorite. Cockpit has excellent cheap and delicious drinks and not to mention great service. The smoked old fashions are a great pick as you get to pick your flavor of smoke. The cucumber mojito is one of the best I have had and lastly, I also recommend their Long Island Ice Tea. For food, you are able to order from Titos Burritos or bring food over from the sushi place next door or the rotating food trucks which are always parked outside of Jaks."
"I grabbed a girlfriend and we went to a Yelp elite event that was being hosted there. Met Don and his wife Linda who are partners in the ownership of this place. They were very nice and friendly. They had a decent spread of food, a tasting room and they also offered a little tour of the distillery. They do make their own agave tequila, vodka, gin, absinthe and whiskey. I had some taste, and I thought some things of course were better than others. I do have to let you know that I had my first tequila old-fashion ever, I was pleasantly surprised.I WOULD go back.Yelp Elite Event was another success. Thank you Linda and Don for making the night so much fun."
"Loved walking in here and into the toasty warm vibe they had inside. Walked over after eating at a nearby ramen spot for a nice digestif hehe. They only serve spirits they distill themselves onsite- vodka, whiskey or gin. They have a lovely craft cocktail menu incorporating their spirits; i tried the pink runway gin drink and my bf had the Mario party - both were good but mine was sweeter and better! Loved the comfy seating and music they had going. It wasn't too packed that you had to wait in line for a drink or seating but still busy enough that it felt like a fun atmosphere. Definitely will be back"
"Mitch, Cassie, and Kimber (the dog) showed us the best time at Branch & Barrel. So much so that we returned a couple of days later with the rest of our traveling party! I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a fan of bourbon, but when my partner asked to add this to our itinerary, I thought I'd be open and give it an honest try. While I still don't think a bourbon neat is for me, I think this is a really special spot and a great stop-off when you're passing through Centennial. Mitch and his drinks are thoughtful, fun, adventurous and there's something on their menu for everyone. I had the Campfire Peach Old Fashioned which was smoky, subtle, and smooth, the PB&J Sour which was complicated, a little sweet, and surprising. I also had a taste (or two or three) of the Ube B Baby and I would highly recommend that for someone who usually orders cocktails and likes them on the sweeter side. Great ube flavor and overall really fun. I also rolled for an old fashioned, because where else could you find something unique like that? They have a stunning list of options and I couldn't resist leaving a drink up to fate! I also cannot forget to mention the Gold Rush Mitch made for my partner. That was genuinely one of the BEST drinks I've ever had. Overall, a fantastic place with fantastic hosts, and a true commitment to staying local; I hope to make it back again someday!"
"Very reasonably priced flights and craft cocktails. Tasting room is small and intimate. I actually think this would be a cool date spot. Even though we came to taste their whiskeys, my favorite of the day was their Reposado tequila."
