"always get the cold sesame noodles, egg tarts, and all the buns. Great food, weird location for this take-out only spot. Call in your order and help the owner/chef save a few pennies from not having to use the app (also gets your order to the head of her line). Sometimes large orders take a while (we have a big family) but we're always happy customers because the food is worth it!"
"Brought my friend for her birthday celebration. She was excited and I was happy as her eyes lit up at all the dishes. She listened to the descriptions, mine were bad, and selected dishes. We ate and ate and then took leftovers home for her hubby and for myself. She enjoyed the experience and that's one of the reasons I like bringing people here. It's not intimidating and they welcome you. Definitely amazing service and great vibe."

"Good lord finally! Dumplings have landed in Edgewater Public Market.EPM has to be one of Denver's most consistent and robust food halls. Now that dumplings are laced into the fold, foodies will be rejoicing since we're always asking for more dumplings. #NeverEnoughDumpsSimple menu. Cute stall. No frills. Best part is that you're not spending an arm and a leg on everything. My wife and I split four items and it was roughly $35. Which if we were at a trendy Asian restaurant in town we'd be spending double if not more. However, it's worth noting that the quality here is good, not great, and not on par with those places making dumplings by hand daily. It's a fast casual spot that cures the hankering!+Chili Oil Wontons ($8.99) // best thing we tried hands down. Not as much chili oil heat as I prefer, but the meat was flavorful. Devoured these in seconds!+Steamed Shrimp Dumpling ($6.99) // My wife's favorite. I actually didn't have these personally, though she loved them.+Xialong Bao ($11.99) // Did the trick, not memorable though. I thought the flavors were just okay and I ended up drowning them in extra chili oil and black vinegar.+Vegetable Egg Roll ($5.99) // Good crisp, but the sauce was strange. It resembled a shrimp cocktail sauce with a thick consistent. Just odd if you ask me since you typically see a thinner red sauce served with these.Dumplings inside the market is something we can all get behind. Order at the kiosk yourself and your food will be ready in ten minutes. They even had one of the longer and more consistent lines yesterday. Not putting this place in front of other spots in town, but a viable option for getting your fix!"
"Customer service was wonderful. We ordered the Egg drop soup, bok choy, sweet and sour chicken, shrimp dumplings, pork soup dumplings, and the steamed rice cake. Everything was really good and tasted fresh. The rice cake wasn't what I expected but it wasn't bad. A lot of food for about $65 - even bright home leftovers. Will be back!"
"My family had the most wonderful dinner here, we can't stop talking about how good it was! The food was outstanding and the service was very sweet and attentive. For starters, we had the BBQ buns, shrimp dumplings, and pork dumplings in chili sauce. Each was super flavorful and authentic; it was very reminiscent of the dim sum that I used to eat when I lived in San Francisco. The pork dumplings in chili sauce was our favorite; tons of flavor and just the right amount of spice. Perfection! My son had the shrimp lo mein and I couldn't believe how much this kid ate. Even after he said he was full, he kept coming back for more. I tasted it and I can attest that the noodles were garlicky and delicious. I had the Tonkotsu ramen and I must say, it's the best ramen I have had since moving to Denver. The pork was moist and perfectly seasoned, the egg was marinated perfectly, and the broth was delicious. My husband had the Thai pineapple chicken and enjoyed it. The lady who served us was so kind and checked on us several times to make sure everything was good. We had a great experience and will definitely come back. I highly recommend it!"
"Back again...as my husband had said, super friendly staff! This time I ordered the veggie dumplings with the wonton soup. I really liked it- the flavor was sooo delicate, but my husband preferred the Japanese curry. I also got the chashu bao- the bbq pork filling and was delightful!"
"This immediately became my favorite Asian restaurant in Denver (yes there are many Asian cuisines, this tops all of them). The one downside is the takeout ordering process. The menu changes and you can't find the current menu online. So I had to call to order and the person on the phone patiently repeated it many times for me while I figured out what I wanted. As a visual person, this was a very challenging way to order. They said it should be on Instagram, but it wasn't today. Ordering challenges aside, the food is outstanding. I'm not 100% sure what all I ordered because I couldn't keep up with trying to write it all down as they read the menu to me. The only thing I know is that it was all phenomal. My only regret is not ordering the entire menu. I will absolutely be back because this is the level of good food that is not easy to come by."
"I was visitng Denver and a friend recommended this place for dim sum. We went for late lunch and while it was still very busy, we were able to get seated right away. The carts came by often so we didn't have to wait long to eat. We probably had a full array of tasty eats on our table within five minutes LOL Everything was so delicious! The flake factor of crust on their egg custard tarts are out of this world! The silky smooth custard was evenly cooked. Their recipe is on point, they sure know how to serve up excellent egg custard tarts! This was my favorite :)I thought their dim sum was great. The full carts came around in a timely fashion. Their customer service was polite and their jasmine tea really complimented everything well. Grateful for my friend bringing me here!"
"Super good! I prefer this dim sum over Star Kitchen. Standouts include the salt and pepper tofu, har gow (crystal shrimp dumplings), sugarcane shrimp and lotus leaf rice. The xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) had a great flavor, but not as juicy as I would have liked. (My favorite soup dumplings in Denver are at Dating Yumy.)The restaurant is more spacious than Star Kitchen and I like the atmosphere better. They were a variety of carts going around on a Sunday afternoon. It didn't take long to get seated for 4. We were very full, and ended up spending $20 per person.Overall, this is a really solid choice for good dim sum in Denver!"

First of all, this is not a restaurant. It is a take-out kitchen only. It is located in and industrial area on the eastern edge of Boulder, near storage units, auto repair and some county maintenance offices. It is a bit hard to find as it is part of a commercial co-working kitchen spaces for start ups, food trucks and the like. The sign on the building says Salad Grounds, which I believe is a play on the phrase, "Solid Ground" a place for several small startups. In the middle window, there is a paper menu taped up for Formosa. Enter there, call through the entry for the Formosa staff, probably just the owner, Nancy. She has cooked at Boulder Chinese restaurants for over 20 years, and the ones she mentioned I may have had a few items over the years, but both are now gone. She is very friendly and appears to do all the work herself, from scratch. We should have called or texted the order in advance (which she mentioned was her preference) so once we gave it to her, we came back in 25 minutes and it was ready.I did not read the menu carefully and will choose more carefully next time. Her egg custard tarts are the best I have had in CO and as good as the Bay Area, SF Chinatown and Boston Chinatown. I also thought the chive pork pan fried dumplings as good as I have ever had and better than most in the area. Her BBQ pork steamed buns (bao) were excellent and clearly hand made, not reheated from frozen factory made as so many are. Very authentically hand shaped. The hot sour soup was also very tasty and a very large portion. Sesame balls were very good and lots of delicious red bean paste packed into a small, easy to handle ball. There were only a couple of misses, one was my fault, I did not see that the bean paste pastry had an egg yolk in it, which I do not like. Her crust was good, it was not the same bean paste as the sesame ball and the yolk is why I only buy Harvest Festival Mooncakes with "no yolks." I have bought them elsewhere for years but will ask next fall if she makes those too. The other fail was the congee as it was more fluid than I have had in the past. Maybe we got it too early and it had not yet cooked down to porridge consistency. The flavor was fine as intended to be blander on the vegetarian version, which had taro, mushrooms and tofu skin. I will call ahead next time, check on availability of some items and try a few new things I have seen mentioned in other reviews. It is a humble little space, but she has experience in cooking and that is all she is intending to provide. She has seen what it takes to have a retail restaurant in a building in the city of Boulder.

Really big restaurant with ample seating Somewhat smaller parking lot size but fairly packed even tho restaurant was not busy, there were lots of employees so maybe they took up like half the parking lotEmployees were all Asian. They were all super nice and spoke Chinese. Owners were very friendly.Ordering system was a bit chaotic. We filled out the menu ordering sheet with what we wanted but all the food carts kept passing by asking us if we wanted things rather than take our menu and put those on our table. I'm pretty sure we got charged based on our paper menu order rather than what was actually on our table. Not happy about thatFood review:Beef chow fun was rather tasteless, would not get again All items were OK: shrimp crepe, fried bean curd, shu mai, shrimp dumpling, chive and meat dumpling Fried turnip cake with hoisin sauce was goodOverall ok.

I found the dumplings here to be delicious! The beef scallion dumplings and chashu bao were the best. Friendly service and the pictures on the iPad menu were very helpful. My family and I love the ambiance of Edgewater Public Marketplace. It's nice to be able to mix and match food items. But this time it was all about Dumpling Spot and it was really good!

Attention foodies: This is a must try!!The quality of the food for the cost is amazing. The dim sum is better here than most places & less expensive. The place itself is kinda a hole in wall. There's plenty of seating though. They do a lot of takeout.I wish this place was on my radar sooner, it's really good- I'll definitely be back. The portions are large. Service was good.Great find 100% Recommended!

This place is so new, only the people with inside scoop can find it here. No signs yet but definitely dishing out delicious food. This restaurant is spacious, very clean with that minimalist look. Parking can be a problem on busy days but always can park by the HD and walk here. The menu is well laid out with lots of photos. After trying out the food first and writing this review, pricing is on point. Definitely above the average compare to most of the dumplings places popping out around here. The front counter person will come and take your order and also bring your food to the table. We as a group ordered bunch of stuff. The spicy edamame was served hot and full of flavors. Not as spicy but subtleness definitely added intriguing flavor. She was very nice to offer us some delicious hot and sour soup. Had lots of flavor and little bit of spiciness that followed. The Xiao Long Bao (soup dumpling) should be eaten 1st before getting too cold. The chili oil, soy sauce and Chinese vinegar mixed into a small bowl is a must! My favorites on top of other menu items I want to try is the pork dumplings in chili sauce. It is juicy, meaty and just the right amount of heat. Overall, definitely happy with all of the food we ordered. Every dish that came out was filled with "OOO's and Ahhh's". Definitely a gem! I'm just glad I do not have to pay the extra fees to appreciate the dumpling makers in the back room. Repeat for sure!

A grand variety of dumplings and other dishes for a better price than other dumpling restaurants out there! (What a snag: a full wallet AND full tummy!) I also love the homey vibe you get from the servers. It feels as if I'm back at home! The quality of the dumplings are pretty good too I love the sauce that comes with it. Their noodles are also pretty tasty and filling as well. Will definitely come back in the future.

5280 Magazine named this restaurant in the 2024 Top 25. And with a James Beard nominated chef, I expected it to be good. It was. I was impressed with the quality of the food, the menu selections, the cool comfortable dining area and especially the service. We arrived on time for our reservation, but unfortunately only hightop tables were available, so the hostess seated us and said as soon as a "better" table came up, she'd move us. No sooner than we ordered, she moved us, as promised. Our server, Kamaria, was a wealth of knowledge, steering us to certain dishes based on a spiciness preference. We ordered a number of small plates to share with the table. The food came out perfectly timed. The spicy peanut wonton was divine. The potstickers were hot, crisp, delicious and oozing with subtle flavors. Shelby J's bao buns were perfect. We could see Chef Wong hard at work in the kitchen. Yuan Wonton's hours are interesting as she shares restaurant space with a bakery. Get a reservation. This place will spoil you from other Asian restaurants-it's that good.

Star Kitchen is a Denver staple when it comes to dim sum. I don't think anyone would claim The Mile High as the dim sum capital of America, however this part of town is home to an abundance of incredible Asian restaurants worth checking out.Star Kitchen has been doing its thing for the better half of two decades and when you can come here you'll see what I'm talking about. It's a well oiled machine engrained in tradition, with old school tactics that play well to its kind of operation.TLDR: if you're coming here on a weekend between the hours of 10am-2pm, you can expect to wait. No exceptions. Don't fault the restaurant. They churn and burn through hundreds of hungry dim sum fanatics and make it look easy. When you come here, you're not checking out the hip, new trendy restaurant in town. Star Kitchen focuses on the food and getting you in and out relatively quickly. That's the name of the game here. Once you sit you immediately start eating, and when you're too full to move a muscle they're bringing you the check and kicking it out. Don't hate the player, hate the game! It's recommended to come here with a minimum of 4 people, so you can do significant damage through the giant menu. Here are the dishes I always order when I come here and suggest:Barbecue Roasted Duck, Shrimp Dumpling, Steamed BBQ Pork Bun, Soup Dumpling, Crystal Leek Dumpling, Siu Mai, Pan Fried Turnip Cake, Fried Sesame Ball, Pan Fried Chicken Dumpling, Cilantro Dumpling, Fried Taro Cake, and Egg Custard Tart. You can't go wrong when you come here. This place screams authentic. That's why there's a lengthy line out the door every single weekend. Like clockwork. If you're looking to gain 10 pounds, come to Star Kitchen!

"I came on a Sunday evening around 630pm and was seated right away for a party of 4. I sampled some dishes... crab rangoon was really tasty- had a kick to it. Xiao long bao were pretty tasty as well. Hot and sour soup was too salty for me but def had flavor. Baby bok choy buns were not bad. Fried shrimp was aiight. Wasn't a huge fan of the Dumpling roulette I tried.Overall it was fairly tasty food but def overpriced because it's Asian fusion."
"It's nice to have a go-to restaurant in your direct vicinity and I must say that this Chinese restaurant is one of them (although I don't utilize it enough.) A few days ago, a little past 9pm (on Christmas Eve to be exact), on my way to go to a friend's house, I stopped here to get me a few items. There was one group of people (the last diner of the night) that was finishing off their late night meal. Other than that, I appeared to be the last customer for the night. The lady that greeted me asked me if it was for a dine in or to-go (wonder if she would have accepted me had I said dine in? Not sure.) I immediately responded, "To-go, please."Like I stated earlier I only wanted a few items (a few sides.) I got me the pork dumplings and the veggies egg rolls. The lady said it'd be 5 min. While waiting, I looked around the dining room and took a few photos. Nicely dimmed lights, each dining table was neatly arranged/set. Very clean and inviting. I like the bright red napkins. This restaurant appears to have received several accolades in the past (there are frames magazine articles on one of the walls.) As promised, it was about 5 minutes before my food was ready. A different lady gave me a bag that contained my food with a nice smile. Service is good here.I didn't eat the food until next day. Sometimes there is a huge difference between eating it fresh or a day old so I'll be fair with this review based on the fact that I ate it when the food was half day old. Overall, both of them were good. To be frank, when it comes to dumplings or potstickers, I prefer them to be pan-fried to be deep fried. I wonder if they ever make them pan-fried or even steamed. This will be a little request I'll be sure to make upon my next visit for sure. The veggie egg rolls were a bit small for the price. Tasted good however. I really need to try their main dishes in the future. Then I'll be able to elaborate more on their food in a real sense. Until then my hon/frank rating shall be 3-stat."
"I felt like having some XLBs today. There was a different place I wanted to try, but I didn't want to drive that far, so I ended up here. This restaurant is a mom & pop type of business. I think multigenerational family members, older and younger, work there. I love to support small business when I can. The owners are Chinese and in good fashion, asked me if I spoke Chinese. I always disappoint! LOLThere's free parking in this area that is shared with other businesses in this little strip mall. This restaurant's layout makes me think it was formerly a Japanese Sushi restaurant. The long counter with the visible fridge in front of it is still there. The other part is a bar area.Upon walking in, I was greeted by Vincent who was also my server. He checked up on me regularly. I ordered the 6 count of Crab Xiao Long Bao (XLB). It contains Crab Meat, Pork, & Scallions. When they arrived at the table, I was pleasantly surprised that they were purply in color! My pictures make them look more bluish. While I wanted to love them, they fell a tad bit short. The dough was a little too thick and there was very little soup broth. The thicker dough would have been great for not having the "soup broth" spill out if there was more of it inside. Flavorwise, they were pretty good! They make every dumpling by hand. They have Dillon's Xiao Long Bao which includes one of each of the 8 flavors of XLBs they offer on the menu minus the Vegan one. If you want a colorful basket of steamed XLB dumplings, you should get this! I probably should have ordered this one today! The flavors are Original, Lobster/Shrimp, Crab, Cheese, Szechuan, Kimchi, Curry, and Garlic.I discussed with the waiter that I wanted some veggies. I haven't had any for a few days and I just had to have some! I told him I didn't want an entree sized amount. He told me I could get an appetizer sized steam veggies. I agreed. They came out still steaming hot. They weren't seasoned with anything, so I used my dipping sauce from the dumplings to dip the veggies in. They tasted way better! I liked their place setting with their logo and name on the plate, bowl, and spoon. It's a nice touch!I am happy I didn't order and eat too much food! I left feeling like I didn't overdo it! I would come back and try a Pan Fried Dumpling. I was interested in the Peking Duck, but I think I'll have to get some when I return home to Los Angeles, CA and can share it with hubby."
"We came here a couple months ago and recently came back. The food has gone down hill and a bit bland since our first visit so not sure what happened. Our latest visit was for an early dinner around 5pm, it was us and about two other tables. The server had to reminded of several times for things like: refill the hot water, our fork dropped and he saw it and just was looking at us until we called him over, waters had to asked to be refilled twice, silly things like that. What we swallowed:*STICKY RICE BBQ DUMPLINGS: These were delicious.*HOT AND SOUP SOUP: A couple months it was delicious but this time around it was bland.*CANTONESE GARLIC PORK LOIN: Hot and tasty*PINEAPPLE SWEET AND SOUR PORK RIBS: These were tasty but super fatty.*SESAME CHICKEN: This was the most consistent thing and delicious.*WALNUT PRAWNS: This was OK.*ORANGE CHICKEN: This was OK.*EGGPLANT GARLIC: This was mushier then most I have had.*MONGOLIAN BEEF*GARLIC PORK RIBS: These were out favorite on the last visit but they no longer had it on their menu.We are on the fence about this place. We were so excited to go back after our first experience was just so delicious but this last visit we were all like 'meh'. Not sure we will come back with so many other Asian restaurants we can explore for mediocre food and service."
"First time here after a lot of anticipation for us, and honestly, I was a bit disappointed. I'll give it a 4, since my daughter seemed to really like it, but I wasn't blown away.First, this place is small. Maybe six tables total. All were full when we ordered, so we ended up by the front windows waiting for something to open up. A table did, so we got to sit before our food came.Having looked at the menu before getting these, we wanted to try a few different things. The Xiao Long Bao soup dumplings were probably the highlight of the meal. The pork dumplings were fine, but I'm not sure if any flavors particularly stood out to me.My daughter really liked her beef rice bowl. I thought it was fine and would probably get that if I go back. It was better than my Rouzao Noodle Bowl. The ground pork wasn't my favorite, it didn't have much flavor, and the noodles were hard to eat. I added a bit too much chili garlic, but at least it had flavor at that point. We split an order of egg custard buns for dessert, and they were pretty tasty. It was fine. Not overly wowed by it, but I might go again. Granted, with good Chinese and sushi options to frequent, maybe I won't run back."
"Soooo sooo good! One of the absolute yummiest ramen I have had the pleasure of eating. What's also special about this food truck is the attention to the presentation of their scrumptious dishes. The service was friendly and fast too. I downloaded their app so I can go get their ramen anytime!"
"The food was so good! We did order the veggie ones and I was a little skeptical since I'm a meat eater, but honestly, these were our favorite!! Only one complaint: it was near closing time and we were sitting towards the back near the bathrooms. The young person cleaning the bathroom mopped the bathroom and rolled the mop bucket right by our table.. the smell was out of this world disgusting. The same mop and water was used to mop the front entry causing the whole place to smell like a toilet. It's unfortunate because the food was really good!"
"In the end only 2 out of 9 things we ordered were excellent, but they were so exceptional I'm willing to give them 5 stars!First being the Truffle Soup Dumplings. I've never had XLB in "black skin" before and I'm totally impressed. I wonder if they used squid ink for the skin? And even more impressive is the flavor. It's definitely worth the high price tag IMO. I told hubby next time just the two of us come here and ask for 4 orders of these bad boys, pay the 100 bucks and be done, seriously! The other wonderful thing from Nana's is the pan fried "thumplings", they're the thumb size buns that I ate like popcorns. Needless to say they're addictive. The bigger version of this Bao was also pretty good, with tender skin that I wouldn't be surprised if made with cake flour. But they're not as fun to eat as the thumplings Other less impressive but still worth getting: steamed pork bun (average), sticky rice shumai (good but over priced). Wonton in chili oil (not juicy enough). Cucumber salad (too spicy, for me)These I will never get again: braised beef slices (over cooked and too hard to chew). Beef noodle soup: I swear they use spaghetti noodles and the beef cubes are also overcooked (or undercooked! Meaning they're too chewy and not soft like braised beef should be!)"
"I really like this spot near Union Station. It's right next door. The food is really good and very flavorful. They do add gratuity, FYI. And they do explain this, so you can find that in writing when you are there if it matters to you.The drink situation is limited, wish they could get some wine, even pre-bottled stuff. And I thought they did before but not the last time I was there. I think they just have beer in the cooler now. But the noodle game is strong here! And the flavor game! You can sit outside, too. There's a few spots for when it's nice out."
"Dumplings are freakin' outstanding! No words can describe how good the pork soup dumplings are. Don't be deceived by the strip mall location. Totally worth it!"
"Rainbow dumplings in Denver, CO! @bryansdumplinghouse just opened up their new location in Westminster and it's a Din Tai Fung dupe! They got everything from dumplings to fried rice to chocolate buns. The perfect place to go and share with friends to get a bite of everything Its parking is easy and service is quick. The space is also very bright and open!"
"Very glad this place opened up in the neighborhood! It's got a lot going for it. Very, very tasty. Decent portions. Good pricing (considering the economy). Very friendly staff. Spotlessly clean, at least on my first visit! There is a limited number of tables, maybe eight or so, but there was no wait to be seated or served on a Thursday at lunchtime. There is ample private parking behind the building as well that serves the businesses in the complex. Definitely worth a try if you dig this kind of food!"
"I've been meaning to try here as I LOVE dumplings. I came here after work one day with a co-worker. We were able to be seated right away. We got here are 6:15p on a Thursday. As the night went on, it began getting pretty crowded! We ordered the original pork xiao long bao (soup dumplings). We got BBQ pork buns, shrimp dumplings, and Bryan's fried rice. My co-worker has never had any of these. As we left - she mentioned how good it was! They had all the sauces you needed on the table. Soy sauce if you wanted to use it. Vinegar - which I used for my soup dumplings. And chili oil which I love pretty much with anything else. We also ordered a pot of Jasmine Green Tea to enjoy with our meal. The fried rice was simple but that's how I like it. I can't wait to come back. I loved it and can't wait to try more things on the menu."
