Eugene J. "Sandwiches are really good! I tried most of them already and everything I get tastes fresh. They hand prep everything, onions, tomatoes, all the veggies and hand slice their meats. It's a small deli, but pretty good sandwiches and their price is very cheap. They haven't changed their prices in the last 3 years. They have a good selection of chips and is always full. They also have a variety of drinks, ranging from v8 to monster energy drinks. Great place to eat if you're looking for something good, quick and cheap"

Mark T. "Fans of the now-closed Samarkand Restaurant will be thrilled to hear that the owner has now taken over the former New York Deli (Star) space at Parker/Atchison and converted it into a haven of Uzbek, Tajik, Russian, etc. delectables - Tandoori Deli.As you may have guessed, the deli counter is still the main draw near the shop's entrance - and, if you're anything like me, you'll have a difficult time choosing between all the options on offer. One of my favorite ready-to-eat items to consider here is the Uzbek specialty Khanum - large pasta sheets skillfully wrapped around a juicy meat filling. Speaking of proteins, I have to also give praise to Tandoori Deli's selection of Shashlik (grilled kebabs), available with beef, chicken or lamb, and served with a side of either fluffy fried potatoes or mixed roasted veggies to give you the most bang for your buck (or do I mean "Som"?). Anyway, those who've missed the Tajik skewers from David's Kebab House on Leetsdale can find a very worthy replacement here. Another regional specialty, the potato-and-cheese-stuffed Kartofdzhyn (Ossetian pie) is also easily available - and quite substantial too if I may say so [URP]. My point here is that TD provides a picturesque culinary tour of much of the former Soviet Union. You know, after all that savory food, I think I need something sweet to really finish things off. Well, what do I see before me, but one of my favorite desserts - in one of my favorite versions - the honey cake called Medovik. Candidly, I can imagine myself eating several slices in succession before I even know what just happened. Keeping this in mind, perhaps it's safer for me to stick with a couple of Syrniki (farmer's cheese pancakes) or even a single éclair, so I don't get too carried away. I'm certain my sweet tooth will be satiated either way. I of course need to wash all this down with a beverage or two - hmm, will I pick some creamy Kefir today? Or maybe a can of the classic rye-based libation, Kvass, or indeed some Mors (Russian berry punch)? There are just so many choices to consider. And I haven't even gotten into TD's shelves and coolers full of of meats, cheeses, candies, pickles, and so forth. Yes, this little shop in Aurora is full of surprises - so go forth and be suitably dazzled, won't you?"

Chance H. "Stopped in after an event at the Aurora reservoir. I picked up a regular number seven and a regular number 12 combos. The service was extra friendly and super fast. I like to get both sandwiches cut in half so that we can share with each other. We got half a beach club and half of an Italian. Inside of the restaurant was very clean and all of the displays for chips and cookies were full and perfectly presented. There is 10 minute only parking directly in front of the store front. The parking stalls are shared with Little Caesars on Noodles & Co. I don't typically go to this location, but would definitely go back if I was in the area. Maybe next time I go paddle boarding at the Aurora Reservoir I'll stop and grab some subs to enjoy on the beach."

The americano always hits the spot, but today I tried the blackberry sage black tea latte with almond milk - so delicious! Great with an extra tea bag too as it amps up the flavor. Sometimes it can be a little slow, but I like that it's a unique spot and serves food (though I have yet to try it - they have a lot of vegetarian options!)."

There's also a wine selection and goods from local favourites like Bjorn's Honey, Corvus Coffee and Chocolove. Because it's opening day, the first 50 people received a free bag. The owner's sweet mom was also giving out free glasses of wine to the many people waiting in line. The line was out the door. We took two pizzas and some baked goods to go and will report back!"

Steve A. "For being a local store it gets good ratings because it's convenient. It doesn't have the best prices. Max Market is okay if you prefer local over big chain stores. Limited selection but still decent. The service is just okay. Anything local is usually better than a corporate chain. It mostly is the case here. The prices really aren't worse than many other stores. It's typical of a convenient store to take advantage of customers in a hurry. They sure do that here, but it's not all bad though. Some things have decent prices. The made to order items are the best values. Grocery items are pricier. This is good if you have some time. It has a pretty good menu of sandwiches and things from the deli. Prices are better for the made to order items. This is a better place if you have time for waiting."

It wasn't until I got to work and had a mouth full of onion that I realized that she didn't leave them off. I hate onions and now my sandwich is ruined. Mr H. is pretty spot on with his grilling, but we admit he can't take all the credit for these being the best ribs we'd ever had.Since then I've shopped for fresh meat when the budget allows. Their Popper Dip has made us (and other friends and family members who we served it to) addicts! And it's the only place I can find acceptable horseradish--no added sugar and unnecessary ingredients. Mom and I have enjoyed visiting for coffee and dessert many times. The bakery is fantastic. From peach pie, to cookies, to cakes, we've been very happy. Their pre-made pasta meals are amazing. Well, actually, we had a problem with the lasagna once. But it was resolved with a lot of communication with their chef, and a gift card sent to me. The store is small but easy to shop most times. Occasionally it can get over-crowded, so I try to shop on off-peak hours."

I've tried most of what they offer but a couple stands out particularly their motherclucker and Italian sandwiches. Their house peppers are to die for and adds a nice little zing to each bite! In the photo was their special which was the Italian but with meatballs and marinara which was amazing.Ok but what about their off menu offerings? Boy get the Mother clucker now! Rotisserie chicken, veggies and the secret ingredient...honey! It adds a nice little sweetness which cuts into the saltiness to the toppings. You won't be disappointed!
