The Delectable Egg-Denver

"I've never once been impressed by anything at Delectable Egg, unfortunately. I've tried it several times now and every visit is underwhelming and my coworker who I go with some of the time agrees.Most recent was for avocado toast and mimosas. First of all, it was bread not really "toast". Second, it was super thick brioche type stuff (yuck) I don't want a ton of bread, I'm not ordering the dish for the bread, I'm ordering it for the avocado. Next, it was an avocado "spread" there weren't actual avocados on it. Worst of all, the avocado spread was put on very thin like you would butter. So, for all of these reasons, this was the worst avocado toast I've ever had anywhere in my life. I've had better at a Courtyard Marriott cafe. It also doesn't come with an egg. Yeah, I can pay extra and pay extra but I feel the dish should include it in the price already. No egg at Delectable Egg -- how strange.As mentioned in a previous review, I wasn't impressed by the crepes, either. I struggled each visit of what to order from the menu -- but not because of why you might think. Most times we struggle what to order because too many things sound good, but on this menu it's the opposite for me, I struggle trying to find something that does sound good. Much of it is so carb heavy with bread and potatoes. I guess that's not so different from other spots, but I just am not a fan. There is so much better food/brunch/breakfast options around. I'm sorry to say, but I am only being honest which is what reviews are all about. Staff is pretty friendly so that's nice. The mimosas are $25 for a carafe and they charge you a few dollars more if you want the juice on the side, which I think we should all be the ones to decide the juice vs. prosecco ratio ourselves and to our personal tastes. They should just serve it that way as a standard, IMHO."

"Super tasty restaurant. It's this awesome glamping x upscale dining mashup. Good vibe and great service.My husband took us here for a surprise date. We started with some drinks and the duck wings and and crispy artichoke. Both were good, but the duck wings were the preferred.We then doubled down and got duck and short rib for dinner. Beautiful plating and delicious dishes.We ordered their SA Syrah, which they were unfortunately out of, so settled for their last bottle of a vintage of Barolo. Delic!We got dessert and dessert wines but I'm totally forgetting what we got.Anyway, super great place."

"A delicious meal and great service can be found at Lazy Dog. They have a lodge type feel that is very cozy and comfortable to spend time with friends and family. They have a dog friendly patio and even feature a puppy menu! A wide food selection from delicious burgers to unique Asian inspired dishes. I have only had great food here! I especially love the butter cake.They have full bar and specialize in Craft Beer. Happy hour is 3-6 on the weekdays with some amazing deals! I would highly recommend dining here."

"A pretty unique spot! I've been wanting to come and try the pho roll since it is the closest thing to a dim sum roll (Cantonese style rice crepe with fillings such as shrimp, beef, etc.) not often can you find a rice noodle sheet that is white and not translucent, it makes for a different texture. It's fun to eat and the filling was tasty. With the signature Vietnamese toppings such as peanuts and fried shallots which added a much welcomed crunch. The house pho had me sniffling! It was spicy for my standard (of course since I'm pretty weak in that department, lol) but I couldn't stop eating it! That tells me I enjoyed it very much. We came at a good time: not too busy and easy to find party. Service was friendly and attentive. The amount of food was perfect for digestion so we had room to explore this side of town with snacks in mind!"

"Well this place is one for the books. I love hibachi and this place gets the job done. They gave me a lot of food when i ordered the chicken and steak combo with fried rice. The creamy sauce they give on the side was phenomenal. I could literally drink it! The chef and the staff were all very professional and polite. The food is definitely worth the wait and it didn't even take that long (maybe 10 minutes). If you're in town and love hibachi, you don't wanna skip on this place."

"Every time I'm in the Denver metro area, we normally have one stop to this cheddars. This time we came by for mother's days weekend which was a treat! It was busy and so we did have to wait as expected. I came with my kids, mom and husband and my two youngest kids were not on their best behavior. The staff paid no mind and was super kind and accommodating. We ordered three honey butter croissant which is a must in my book! So so so good! My mom and hubby had sweet tea and loved it. For our meals , I had the buffalo style chicken tenders with fries and broccoli and it was so good and filling! My mom got the fried catfish with coleslaw and broccoli and loved it. My husband got the blackened catfish with mashed potatoes and broccoli and cheese casserole and it was good! My daughters split the Alfredo pasta and loved it! Thanks for always a consistent great experience!"

"We've driven by Latke Love a bunch of times and always say "we need to try that place." Well, today we did and we are so glad we did, it was delicious! The restaurant is small and cozy, it looks like walking into your grandma's house. When we walked in the food smelled incredible! The owner was really friendly and answered all of our questions. The food was outstanding, some of the freshest salmon I've ever tasted and I'd buy the dill cream if they sold it! The Guinness gravy and brisket were amazing and perfectly seasoned, and the latkes were outstanding! To top it all off, the homemade applesauce was delicious.We are very much looking forward to going again!"

"I'll start off by saying that this is not in a good area (lots of shady people around parking lot) but as far as the restaurant itself...we stood in the lobby waiting to be seating, there was already 1 person who had been standing there awhile when we entered. No one was even around for about 10 min. Restaurant was not busy so I don't really know where everyone was. Food was ok nothing spectacular. We ordered off the lunch menu so expected smaller portions but when I paid extra for catfish fingers I did expect to get more than 3 little French fry sized pieces."

"Not a bad place to grab brunch! They have a ton of items on the menu and a good chunk of it is pretty unique. Had two visits but can't remember the first visit well but I can remember the second one as clear as day because it happened today! The deviled eggs were refreshing appetizer and my frittata was tasty and not bland at all! The server was optimistic and had lots of energy. I'm curious about their dinner menu!"

"We found this place on our way back home. I called ahead to make sure they have gluten free mac n' cheese and YES they do! The girl taking orders was extremely helpful and patient with all of my GF questions. My husband ordered the 'Colorado's Favorite' which has pulled pork, jalapeños, green chilies and lots of melty, stringy, ooey gooey cheese. He said it was spicy cheesy goodness. I ordered the Pepperoni Pizza mac n' cheese which had pepperoni and bell pepper. It was soooo delicious. The next time I go I'll probably order the same thing but ask for the same 'cheese effect' that my husband's had. What a surprisingly wonderful road trip find! (Even though we will be food sleepy anytime now!) Will definitely return."

"Great customer service and I was able to customize my mac and cheese!Conveniently located at Edgewater Public Market. There is a parking lot but it gets full quickly, there is also street parking available. The Mac Shack offers several different mac and cheese selections! The menu is on a screen to the side and you can order at the counter with a tablet. I got the chicken and bacon mac :) It normally comes with siracha but I'm not a big spicy flavor person. There was not a place for me to make comments or customizations on the tablet but I talked to the girl behind the counter and she said she wouldn't put the siracha on mine. It was about 10-15mins.Very large portion! Hot and fresh! Gooey cheese and crispy chicken and bacon! I would defiently go back and try another mac and cheese option.The customer service was great! Very sweet girl and very understanding and helpful with my customized mac. I can't wait to go back and try another :)"

"Oh man, do not sleep on this place. We went on a Sunday evening and tried the neck bones, wings, Mac and cheese, cheesy potatoes, greens, red beans and rice and onion rings. The neck bones and the red beans and rice are next level good and the corn bread was so buttery and delicious. Honestly there wasn't a bad bite of food. We also had the special house cocktail which was sweet and fruity and delicious.Check the hours before you go and come with a big appetite, we both brought at least half of our meal home and now I can look forward to having it tomorrow!"
