Matt C. "Cherry Cricket, the famed black sheep of Cherry Creek, somehow still impresses after all these years. Hailed as one of Denver's best burger places, I'm shocked if anyone says they don't have an enjoyable burger here. When you see the legendary Duffy's sign you know you're in the right place. Entering the restaurant I've mostly received weird interactions upon entry. They do, in fact, seat you, but often times I've had bad luck and find myself waiting for an employee to seat us.There are plenty of dining rooms indoors like booths, community tables, and bar seating. But the Cricket is known for their massive outdoor patio. Part of it is covered underneath a gigantic tent set up, the other picnic table style seating overlooking the foot traffic of Cherry Creek. What to order at the Cricket? They do have some signature burgers they're known for that have won awards at burger festivals. The green chile relleno burger stands out because I don't know how they invented this concoction, but it's a beast of a burger that has DENVER written all over it.More often than not, the Cricket Burger is the pro move. A customizable half pound burger with the toppings of your choice. The one I had the other night was with American Cheese, Bacon, and Jalapeños. It was cooked perfectly, an undeniable beefy flavor. It was a damn memorable burger.Oh. And the frings (with ranch) are a MUST.The knock of the star just boils down to the restaurant being too big, which means occasionally you feel like the forgotten stepchild depending on if your section is busy or not. On multiple occasions the service has been incredibly slow. Other than that, I'll continue to support this Denver institution. Here's to another 50 years, Cricks!"

Morgan A. "My boyfriend was craving a burger and we were in the area so we decided to give this spot a go. I got the mini park burger and substituted raw onions for shoestring (pro hack they don't charge extra this way). The truffle parm fries were perfectly cooked and crispy. My milkshake was delicious they make the strawberry sauce in house and the whipped cream was so fluffy. I'm not a big burger fan by any means (I actually tend to avoid burgers) but THIS burger has me questioning everything. Delicious bun, juicy patty and perfectly crisp onions. The inside of this place is super cute and come spring the patio area looks lovely. Bravo."

Stephen W. "I would give this place 100 stars if I could. We stopped here for lunch while in Denver. The ambiance is a cross between industrial and minimalist. The vibe is pure 60s and 70s, staring with the psychedelic menu in groovy colors. I liked the ambiance and vibe a lot. The food and service were outstanding. Our server Douglas was super friendly and helpful. When we could not decide on which tap beer to get, he brought some samples so we did not make a wrong decision.I started with a half order of pretzels and they are fresh made. The dough was soft and chewy, with a sprinkle of warm cheese. Excellent. I was full after the pretzels. The wife started with the mushroom soup and it was phenomenal. Maybe the best I have ever had. I would go to this restaurant just for that soup. We were already full by the time the pizzas arrived. The wife had the Thai pizza and loved it. She said it tasted exactly like Satay, and I tried a bite and agreed. It was super tasty and I would get that next time. I had the Shitake mushroom pizza and it was very good. The crust was fresh with real flavor. It had fresh slices of palm cheese on time. It was an outstanding pizza but I did not like the aioli on top because it detracted from the mushrooms. Our beers were excellent, don't remember what they were but I would get them again (figure that one out). Overall, an excellent experience I can say with confidence that every time we are in Denver, we are coming back to this restaurant."

Robb C. "Their former location on Wadsworth was okay so I was not eager to go here, however, a group of friends convinced me to give it a try. The dining room and bar areas are large and very noisy. Our party of 7 was seated in a curved booth which had adequate room for us and our food. Our masked waitress was very friendly and engaging as well as patient with our group of seniors. I ordered the Florentine skillet with an order of 2 pancakes. The dish came with potatoes and avocado slices and I believe hollandaise sauce. It was outstanding and there was so much food, I took half home. All in all I was impressed and will return sometime soon."

The burgers are nicely sized, their fries are crisp and plentiful, and everything on the burger was crunchy and fresh.Cheaper beer prices and a solid rotating set of taps. Staff is friendly and attentive.Parking sucks in the area but a block or two walk isn't bad and helps burn a few calories off of the burger you just inhaled. Not the best wings out there though; they were pretty soggy but still reasonably tasty.Solid all around."

"Visiting CO and my husband found this gem and I couldn't have been happier. We arrived on Friday 8/30/24 and as a college town I was certain we would be waiting however, we added our name to this list and were seated in about 15 mins.Service was great here. Everyone was friendly and attentive. I will say, ceiling is low and the sound can be a bit overwhelming especially if it is peak time. I loved all the art and writing on the walls and some were freakin hilarious!Husband ordered BBQ Bacon burger and I had the famous Buff Mac. We did order a michelada as well.Burger was cooked to perfection and the sweet potatoe fries were his favorite! I had to snag a few and they were the perfect amount of sweet and so crispy!Guy Fieri's pic and review - I knew I had to get the buff Mac and man oh man, this was amazing! Cheesy, full of flavor, plenty of buffalo sauce and blue cheese with every bite!Michelada was okay, nothing to rave about but that's okay. The food def made up for it.A wonderful place and a place we will def return to in the area....in the mean time I will try and make my own buff mac haha!"

The eggs Bennie was wonderful - the Hollandaise is perfect amount of creamy and slight tang. The potatoes they call Browns are great not too crispy not too hard. The pancake was really good. Erika R. "I was here for a business trip and this place looked like a good spot to watch Thursday night football that was close to my airport hotel. This place caught my eye, there were TVs playing football and basketball surrounding the bar so I grabbed a seat. The place was busy, both at the bar and tables. One of the bartenders came over and asked for my drink order and brought me a menu after I asked for one. I ordered the enchiladas plate and a glass of red wine. I wasn't expecting much from the wine at a sports bar (just wasn't in the mood for beer). I was expecting a great enchilada based on the name, it was good but just ok nothing special. The enchiladas themselves were good, but all the sides were really just filler. The rice had no flavor, lettuce was just generic shredded iceberg, and the pico was definitely mass produced elsewhere and shipped in.Right after I ordered a group of guys that seemed a little buzzed posted up at the bar next to me. Before that I had a good amount of space, but when my food came one of them kept bumping into me. I can't really blame the restaurant for the clientele that come in to watch games but I didn't stay to watch the end of the game cause I was uncomfortable, they weren't taking my polite hints that I didn't want to talk to them and they smelled. I could've moved, but after sitting at the bar watching the bartenders make drinks I wasn't inclined to order anything else. Any mixed drink had some artificial color or sugary looking ingredients. Mostly I saw them pouring beer and shots, so that meant more people getting buzzed which was not what I was in the mood to be around. If you decide to come to this restaurant, I would stick to beer for drinks. They do have a decent selection on tap. The food was fine but nothing to write home about. Drink prices were pretty cheap, so if you're looking for a good place to watch the game and not spend a lot of money on beer, this would be the spot. If you're looking for good Mexican food and cocktails there are probably better options in the area."

As a vegan looking for a spot to eat alone or with other vegans, they offer a pretty decent salad with lots of varietal choices such as: black/garbanzo beans, tomatoes, olives, pepperoncini, radish, red onion, cilantro, tortilla strips, croutons and more!"

Mia M. "I'm visiting Colorado and my friends told me they've seen the place but haven't dined in yet. So after taking a 3 hour hike, we decided we might as well eat here and give it a try. The place has so much parking and the theme is very rustic/nature with a touch of bar feel. The inside is well lit, the seats are wooden but comfy to sit in and spacious enough to fit plenty of people. The place has indoor and outdoor dining along with a bar to watch any game coming up. The staff are great and patient especially since I had tons of questions for them since I'm not one of the locals. Our waiter suggested a great cider for me to try while I ordered fish and chips. The wait time was decent and everyone's drinks and foods came out relatively around the same time so no one was left waiting for more than 15+ minutes for a drink or entree. I knew my meal was nice and fresh because the piping hot steam coming from my fish made my mouth drool. Even when I touched the fish, my fingertips were feeling the heat. Taking the first bite was hot and crispy yet the fish was tender and juicy on the inside. The fries/chips were crunchy and hot. The meal was filling and I'm so glad I had a fresh hot meal. "Came in on a busy Saturday, was sat briefly and given a fair amount of time to look over the menu before our order was taken. The restaurant itself carries a very home-like vibe and appears to have a very loyal group of regulars. It can be loud, but not obnoxious in my opinion. The food itself was great. The biscuits and gravy were quite good. The gravy was thick enough to my liking & the biscuits were well cooked. The gravy had sausage bits that were chunky and a little big for my taste, but it still was incredible. Those who like their b&g with adequate pepper might want to add some at the table. I asked for the eggs over medium and they were actually over medium, while not being rubbery. Not pictured was three pancakes, they were about hand sized and not bad. Although the syrup was very liquidy and runny for my taste.Overall service was good, prices were fair, and food gave off a very nice hole-in-the-wall vibe."
