Burrito Express

Have been meaning to try out Burrito Express and tonight was the night! There was only one car in front of me for the Drive Thru and I waited about 10 minutes from start to finish. Very quick and straight to the point service. They do charge an extra 3% for credit card use, but nothing for cash or debit. I ordered a Carne Asada and Adobada Burrito. Don't forget to ask for salsa too! To preface, I used to live in San Diego, so I do know my bias runs deep out here in Colorado. That being said, Burrito Express was pretty good. The burritos were flavorful and hot. The salsas (red and green) had a great spice level and smooth consistency for easy pouring. The only thing that brought them down for me would be that the guac was not fresh. It had that slightly brownish green color that would indicate it had been sitting for a bit and had a super smooth texture like the kind that comes out of a bag. Not ideal, but maybe that is how they keep their prices reasonable. Although, I would much prefer paying more for legitimate guac. Overall, I would try Burrito Express again to see how some of their other items are. It's a decent option if you've got a craving for Mexican Food around the area.

This uses to be one of my go to spots back in high school and for me to still come here every now and then is a testament to the taste and flavors of their food.Though they offer many different kinds of burritos and tacos, theor forte has always been their breakfast burritos. My favorite one that I have always ordered is the number 4 burrito, which includes steak, egg, chorizo and cheese. Everything is made fresh on the grill and the taste is great. Each burrito is served with a red or green sauce/salsa that greatly adds to the overall flavor.The staff at the restaurant has always been pleasant and nice and the inside is always clean and makes for a nice spot to grab a quick brunch or lunch.There are 2 reasons I give this place 3 stars. The first is it's name. Though it's called Burrito Express, if you're looking for express service and food to be delivered quickly to you, this has never been the place for that. It's always a little slow here.Secondly, I ordered 3 burritos, over 30 dollars in food, and when I went to pay with my credit card, I was charged an additional 3% surcharge for using a card because my order was too low in value. I find this extremely cheap of this restaurant, especially if $30 in food is too small of an order to have this waived. They did not used to do this either. This will definitely affect how often I come here moving forward. There are plenty of breakfast burrito places nearby that do not nickel and dime there customers like this with just as tasty of food

Ordered take out. This was for a birthday celebration. They have always been great food.Large portions, and tasty.Unfortunately tonight was pretty awful . 2 of the 4 entrees were unedible. The carne asada burrito, and the beef enchiladas.The tacos were good, but the cheese enchiladas tasted like a day old leftover.Almost $50.00 pretty much wasted.

Carne Asada Burrito + Sour Cream + French Fries = California Burrito. This place is great. Come here a couple times a month for the bean burrito and cali burrito. Is getting more expensive but the food is great so I think it's worth it.

Horrible service. The lady that takes orders here is not good. I've eaten here twice and they've screwed up my order both times. I will never come back. I just ordered a smothered burrito with beans and rice and they gave me a regular burrito with a side of fries for $16. I asked her about it she just stares at me, and doesn't even offer to fix the problem.

I always forget to take pictures of my food from here. Food is always good my go to is carne asada fries, so good! The owner is always at the window taking orders, I've never been inside always to go. The carne Asada fries are so good lots of fries lots of meat and cheese. I'd have to say it's one of my favorite little Mexican joints since moving to Colorado.

This place is the CATS MEOW. Look no further than Burrito Express for the best Mexican food I've had in Denver!

My daughter decided on dinner on Monday, I'd never been here but we were both feeling Mexican. I got a chicharrones and bean burrito. Home made tortillas, and the beans were super good, the chicharrones were good as hell. So on the way into work today just two days later I'm pulling up for a breakfast burrito. I got the egg and potato. So good. Glad I found it. I'll be a regular for sure. Really proper.

Very Good food, cheap and quick Mexican food which makes for the perfect night out, lunch or family dinner. Service is quick and they are very nice and friendly!

Y'all sleep on this place, I work @ the Starbucks near by and this is THE SPOT. The carne asada Quesadilla is amazing and the carne asada fries 10/10 every time, the burritos also bomb- and the staff is very friendly even when busy. This place rocks in my personal opinion.
