British Bulldog is a divey English pub off of Broadway and Stout St. just on the outskirts of RiNo. To be quite frank, considering I'm in this area all the time I can't believe it's taken me five years to visit. That changed over the weekend, with some strings attached along the way.One bartender on a Friday night. I rolled in late after a work event and was actually pleased with the setting. It wasn't too crowded and it felt very low key. I sat for 5 minutes at the bar before the bartender came back inside from smoking a cigarette. Really? I just have no tolerance for these kinds of things anymore. Am I becoming old and cranky in my 30's?!The best thing this place has going for it are their prices and portions. I ordered the fish and chips and with a big pint of beer and I was pleased what was in front of me. Fish and chips were good, not great. Nice, crispy crunchy exterior, though the fish was dry in the center. The fries were inedible and tasted off. It comes with coleslaw too and it was fine, though not necessary in my humble opinion.The bartender was weird, and safe to assume a little drunk. I planned to have another beer yet decided it was in my best interest to leave. Always a bummer when one person can make or break an experience. I'll also add that though you can find free street parking nearby, that it does get a little sketchy at night in the area.Maybe the British Bulldog had an off night, and maybe it's best to visit on a game day. But I won't be rushing back here considering there are some great English pubs in the city that I already really enjoy.

Love this British Pub. This is the place to watch footy! Came here on a Friday afternoon for some drinks and dinner. Don is such a gem. He gave us great recommendations and did mind to girly girls coming in. The fish and chips were awesome same with the burger! It all came out quickly and soaked up my alcohol. Prices were very fair! Two beers and two drinks were around 50$ including tip. It is a tad divey and dark which I love! But the food and service are way better than a typical "dive bar". The drinks are good, tons on tap. They do have a small outdoor patio as well. On my nights out I will definitely come back here. Overall, 5/5 experience. Highly recommend. Super enjoyable time.

We stopped by in to watch a midweek Manchester United game. The place got full, one only one person running the bar and the dining area. I must stay he handled it pretty well. We ordered a couple of beers, some Buffalo wings and their Bangers & Mash. The wings were good, but pricey for only getting 7 wings. This is the first time I've had Bangers & Mash and really enjoyed the dish. Will definitely be ordering this again next time I'm at a British Pub. Overall I enjoyed my time here. The only issue I had was the lack of singing and chanting. Everyone was quiet here. But that's obviously the the pubs fault. I can definitely see myself returning.

Great spot for some English Premier League football and 7:00 AM beers on draft. Their full English breakfast and fish & chips are scrumptious any time of day. The bar staff is always fun, attentive, and generous. With the foxes back in the EPL I'm looking forward to a few more early weekend mornings in downtown Denver.

This is a great place to watch a soccer game and eat some delicious fish and chips. We stopped in last Friday before a show downtown and grabbed some dinner and a drink before heading to the show. The bartender was the server and he was on it. Great attitude, super nice and thankful for us coming in. I got the fish and chips. the fish was super tender and flaky. great flavor on the breading and piping hot when they came out. A friend got the pub dunk. It was good but the meat lacked a little flavor in my opinion. Great au jus though. My husband got the saag paneer. It was a small serving so he helped me with my fish and chips. I didn't try it but he mentioned it lacked some flavor. The beers were cold and they have a good selection to cover all varieties of tastebuds. I will say if you are looking for some amazing fish and chips, this is the place to hit up for sure. they have one of my favorite in the Denver metro area for sure.

I decided to take an adventure and go to lunch at the British Bulldog. It was amazing. I got a club soda and a fish and chips for $12. It was authentic from scratch fish and tater tots. I could have had the chips.., but the tots!The seasoning was spot on. I loved the welcome reception. I've never received my meal faster or fresher. The cod was amazing. And the beer batter was stupendous. These tater tots were seasoned throughout with cheese and finely shredded potatoes. They really looked like scallops. But I would do this again and again, and again! You have to give this place to try. There's plenty of open seating for lunch. And the hospitality is outstanding. The kitchen manager, Shem, was attentive, and really wanted to know what I thought of the food and cared about my experience. Love it!

Pretty classic dive bar. Although mind you the staff is above the divey class. They serve breakfast and we came here for that when we had a visitor in town.Excellent service and good breakfast! The no-nonsense kind.
