Bowles Cafe is your typical diner/breakfast spot. I got the Bowles Breakfast which came loaded w/ 2 eggs, hashbrowns, your choice of protein & your choice of pancakes, French toast or biscuits & gravy. I have never tried biscuits & gravy but coming here I decided to try it & OMG it is my new favorite. They do have a bar so if you want some mimosas or really anything the bar seems to always be open. May be wrong but a friend & I went on a Sunday morning at around 7 or 8am & we were both able to get a drink (: Staff was friendly & the food was ready pretty quickly. Excited to come by again!

I saw the Yelp reviews and didn't expect much. But a friend really wanted to meet here and swore the French toast was amazing.He was not wrong. Get the French toast. If you, like I, virtually never order French toast, don't let that stop you. Just get it. It has a crunchy exterior, battered with cornflakes, I think, and it appears to be ever so gently bruléed with cinnamon and brown sugar. I also ordered poached eggs to see how they did with that, and the eggs were done perfectly. Huzzah!A dining companion got a tasty veggie skillet that came with a side of green chili. I am not from Colorado and know nothing about green chili, but I thought this stuff was delicious.I didn't personally taste the bacon, but it was a generous portion of thick slices. Apparently good enough that our friend brought home the leftovers.Service was friendly and attentive with fast coffee refills. Plenty of parking, and the space is a bright open room with a mix of booths and tables. Very accessible.Worth going back the next time we're in town. Going on my list of best Denver area breakfast options, for sure.

Didn't know this place existed and I wish I knew about it sooner. Had breakfast with my kiddo ordered the hue is rancheros and house skilllet. Both were excellent. The food was fresh and came out quickly and piping hot. Huge portions and great value. Our waitress was awesome. The only way I can describe this place is- an updated Le peep with Mexican options (smothered burritos green chili etc). Breakfast for two plus tip and drinks was well under 40.

We were looking to discovery a different breakfast place so I searched Yelp for "Breakfast near me". Bowles Cafe came up and we headed over to the restaurant. I'm glad I didn't look at the reviews or I might have missed this gem. Bowles Cafe isn't looking to be different like First Watch or Toast. It's more of a restaurant like Littleton Cafe, except Bowles Café stays open longer so you can enjoy lunch without rushing. Bowles Café reminds me of the Greek diners we used to frequent back in Illinois. The menus are simple, good food and large portions. They let you season your food so you don't have to worry about it being too salty, peppery or spicy. (If you want spicy, they have some Mexican dishes.) The hash browns aren't shredded, but rather chopped which we liked. We also like that they provided a pot of coffee for the table so we didn't have to flag a server down to get more.We'd like to go back sometime soon and try something from their lunch menu.

Once a favorite, but recently it has been unenjoyable. Came in for breakfast, it was not too busy. Got seated and sat there for 20 minutes with nobody bringing us a menu or even acknowledging we were costumers. Wait staff hanging around doing much of nothing. We got up and left. Went to breakfast somewhere else. Figured if they don't want to serve us, we will eat somewhere that does.

Overall ok food. Good service. My biggest feedback for the cafe is to stop letting the servers put plates on top of the food people are eating. Both of the orders we received had small toast plates on top of our food. This is extremely unsanitary.

I had breakfast at Bowles Cafe for the first time this morning. The chile relleno breakfast was delicious. I loved the two chile rellenos and homemade hash browns!! The atmosphere is fine in a neighborhood restaurant kind of way, and the service was good. I'd go back.

Service was good, as was the breakfast.My complaint is that I was double charged, the pre-tip amount $49.84 and then also for the amount including a $10 tip.I don't notice until several days later when reviewing my debit card transactions. I called and was asked to come to the restaurant with copies of my receipt and bank statement showing the charges. I gave them both to the manager of the day along with my contact info. who said she would let their bookkeeping person know. I never heard anything back from the restaurant, but fortunately my bank gave me a credit when I disputed the extra charge. A word to the wise... always keep your receipts and check your transaction history often.
