The food Why do we continue to pay high prices for low valued food. My shepherd's had very little to no ground beef, the menu called for peas, mine had string beans and a hefty serving of mash to hide all of its sinsI called and they said they'll make it good the next time we're in. Is there an option to not give a star??

The worst meal I've ever had at Black Eyed Peas. I chose the marinated pork chop meal and my pork chop was not marinated and dry as hell my potatoes were good but the gravy that was covering it was bland as hell so they replaced my dried pork chop with an overcooked chicken fried chicken with with more bland gravy on top. Usually you never lose that Black Eyed Peas but today was a real loser.

Delivery driver was prompt and courteous, the food was good as well, and having a private dinner in my hotel room was priceless. Everything we ordered showed up, the food was still hot when it arrived, and most importantly it was billed correctly to my credit card. 5 and Thank you!

Service was excellent and the food was really good. So much, I couldn't eat it all. My wife had pot roast stuffed baked potato, equally good. The fresh baked rolls was like eating a cloud. Pillowy soft and Scrumptious. We'll be back.

I hadn't been to a Black Eyed Pea since I was a kid. Felt nostalgic and decided to go for lunch. We walked out after looking at the menu for about 30 seconds. $25 for chicken fried steak? Almost $20 for a 5 piece chicken tender meal??? High prices for oversized portions of comfort cafeteria food. Kinda reminded me of all that is wrong with America. Plus the decor (inside and out) looked as if it hadn't been updated in about 30 years. I won't even attempt to go back.

Ok so here it is 2020 my last review for this place was back in 2016.Have you ever heard the saying ,if it's not broke dont fix it?Well Black eyed pea has stuck to this mantra.My wife was in the mood for some fried chicken so she threw this restaurant into the ring of options so I decided since it's been awhile since we have been here I opted to go here.I must just say that we were seated in the bar area again,which I think they have made the booths smaller ,lol, and honestly I should have said something about not really being comfortable but I didn't. Our server was Ashley. I could kind of pick up that she wasn't the most seasoned server but in all honesty she killed it. Whoever trained her was on point!!!! She was both friendly, readily available, but not hovering. And when we did need something , she was quick to explain that let me deliver these drinks or such and was quick about it. Our meal was brought out like it should be,Drinks, salad/appetizers, meal, and yes dessert .I would just like to say that if you want a good meal this is the place to go. Like anything prices are increasing but you get what you pay for and be warned I think that they've increased the size of the Texas size chicken fried steak!! It wouldn't even fit on the plate!!Great job B-E-PIf you can ask for Ashley, she will not disappoint. And yes I would definitely recommend!

Bad start to out visit on Tuesday, 11/13/24; we walked in the front door, but no host or hostess in sight. Waited several minutes, still no one, some other people came in behind us, we all waited some more, still no one. I finally walked back to the bar area to see if I could find anyone to seat us and encountered the manager chatting up some customers. He gave me a look and said "Can I help you?" to which I replied "Yeah, we're looking for someone to seat us please." He gave me another look and in a snarky tone of voice, informed me that he had been helping other customers. I said "Sure, no problem" and he proceeded to seat us. After we had finished part of our meal and had set one of our plates out on the edge of the table, he breezed by, grabbed the plate and kept on walking. I guess I'm accustomed to having a manager ask how our meals are when he visits our table, but not this guy. He not only couldn't seem to care less, he seemed to intentional snub us. The wife liked her dinner, but I ordered the beef Stroganoff and the noodles were absolutely drowning in sauce. Someone at the next table ordered the same thing and asked for more noodles to soak up some of the excess sauce. Normally, we have good service and the food is good (their steak is on par with just about any steak house), but this visit wasn't our best experience.

Food was great! Had Mac and cheese with barbecue sausage. Mt sister had catfish with fresh green beans and squash casserole. Very impressed! Service was excellent, too! Highly recommend!
