Bad Habits is a fairly new Denver bar. They bridge the gap between traditional gay bars and a local neighborhood bar. The bar isn't a typically clubby dance vibe you see at gay bars and is more of a sit down establishment. The bar is gay owned and many of the staff are queer as well, creating a welcoming environment. Bad Habits also offers several food options that are higher quality than typical bar food, and the menu is expanding.The area has a large (for in a city) patio. If you go in and left there's two dart boards and the main seating area. On the right is the bar area with bar stools and a couple smaller tables. There's bathrooms near the main seating area and up the stairs. There's another seating area and bar upstairs open on weekends and special events. Downstairs (main) has about 9 beers on drafts, 3 wines on draft, 6 seltzers on draft. There's additional beers in the fridge and a full selection of hard alcohol, including a dollar off 360 brand liquor.The bar has trivia on Thursday with rotating drag queens. On Wednesdays is bring your own board game night (they do have a bunch there already). I'm exciting to see Bad Habit it continue to develop the space.

Some friends wanted to check out this new place because they knew one of the bartenders. Upon arrival, I realized I had been to this bar before, but a few years ago, it had been a tiki bar upstairs.While it's billed at an LGBTQ+ bar, it's a inviting place and all are welcome. There are some dartboards and seating on the other side of the bar, and upstairs is still a nice, intimate spot with a smaller bar. Two things stood out for me which will make me come back again. 1) They have TV monitors which show trivia questions. I am all about that, and this is on me, but i had to pull my attention away from the monitors to carry on conversations with live people.2) It is about the people. I had a lot of good conversations with people that night. People didn't feel awkward coming up to me to start a conversation. You don't always get that in any type of bar, and it was nice that there weren't a lot of judgy, pretentious people. It's a nice neighborhood bar to hang out. I sure hope they stay in business. It's a neighborhood gem!

Met my two friends here as it was the perfect distance for us all.Really loved the vibe, service, and drinks.Great snacks. Loved the fried mushrooms and quesadillas My old fashioned was fine and my friends were happy with their drinksAs a straight person I felt very included( maybe they thought we were a threesome?)Would def come back with such a chill atmosphere

This is a super cute place! Nice to have another gay bar in Denver. Food and drinks were on point with a nice atmosphere. It wasn't too busy and the music wasn't too loud which is rare for gay bars. Definitely will come back!

Denver's new establishments for the lgbtqia+ community,is a definite awin! The atmosphere is what you want to make of it. It's a chill. You'll meet new people. There's the diverse group of clientele. I met some of the most interesting, and unexpected, friendship's on my visit. Don't let this unassuming location distract you, from the enjoyment that you probably will have while visiting.Kyle, a bartender is very friendly,and super accommodating. He went above and beyond my expectations as a bartender. (thought he was the manager).I arrived at the bar, with my cell phone at 10%. Kyle, was more than polite when telling me he would be able to charge my phone, in order to make sure I got home safely.The bar doesn't give the vibe of community from the outside. Yet, once you get inside you will find a diverse community of gay, lesbian, trans, and straight accepting individuals!The photos from their website don't do justice to how welcoming the environment really is inside. I'm a professional photographer, and took some photos that let you know that this is a place that is safe, and welcoming to all walks of life. Billie, is one of owners of this bar. I suggest asking him the significance of the monkey, that's hanging from the rafters in the upstairs section of the bar. Look at the pictures I have included for reference.I had my doubts, about this new bar on Colfax. Honestly , I was very surprised, that the live videos, and of from the grand opening didn't reflect what this place has to offer the community.That being said, I have to tell you that this is one of the most chill, inviting ,and welcoming bars that Denver has seen in recent years! I give this a definite approval for the lgbtqia+ community. It's a safe space and welcoming

Came to bad habits tonight for a few drinks with friends and it was great. Wanted to check out this new LGBTQ+ bar in Denver. Would highly recommend to anyone. Great vibes, fun table games, good music. Food was also yummy! Their drink specials are cute and super good as well. Can't wait to go back!

Lousy. Walked in sat at a table. Thought no one was at the bar until a guy eating something at the end of the bar had walked behind the bar. Ordered drinks, then had to ask for a menu. Ordered a Pretzel with cheese, Chicken wrap and a plate of loaded nachos with beef. When food was delivered, the pretzel was over cooked and hard, The Nachos were cold with maybe 1/2 oz of fried beef on it. Was not appealing. The Chicken wrap had just enough chicken to call it a chicken wrap. Honestly, I don't know if we just hit a bad night or not.0

Great drinks, loved the menu of pub staples & a few surprises. Easy going good vibes, neighborhood feel with a twist! Would definitely visit again!

Great bar, friendly staff, good drinks very welcoming. Fun atmosphere. Will be back. Food was decent too
