ASA Sushi

Got it for delivery while in town for work and this did the trick.I got the UB roll (tempura fried lobster tail and spicy crab mix topped with seared steak, garlic sake butter sauce, and eel sauce) and a ginger salad.The roll definitely would've been better fresh/served immediately but I didn't have that luxury. The flavors were delicious though! It's quite the heavy roll. The salad left a little to be desired, but it was cheap and I was craving it!I can't speak to the service or the ambiance, but I'm sure I'll be back in town and will be able to go in when I'm less zonked

AMAZING ! Sushi every time. I went in for happy hour with some of my brothers and the staff was very welcoming and served us promptly. We had a few apps and I ordered the greatest sushi roll in the whole wide world universe. The UB Roll. Just go try it ! It's not shown in the picture because it was devoured before I could think about snapping a photo.

We live near by and can always get a table, nice ambiance and always quick service. The sushi is fantastic. I really love their california roll, it's basic and simple but they do it really well. I also love their lunch special. This is just a staple sushi place near us, no frills and reasonably priced. We come here often!!

We tried Asa tonight based on the good reviews, and I'm a little confused by them. Everything we ordered was just ok, but not great. We ordered shrimp tempura rolls and the shrimp and rice were both not fresh. Also the shrimp tempura rolls had imitation crab in them which was a weird choice. The gyoza was just ok, and the chicken katsu was also just ok. Nothing was bad, but also not good. Don't think we will be eating here again unfortunately.

My brother and I stopped here after a good climb and we were STARVING. We wanted to find a decent sushi place for a good price (we're picky because we're from the coast) and decided to give this spot a try! First, the service was amazing. Our waitress was kind and made sure to check in on us and let us ask questions. Second, The ambiance was perfect for a relaxing dinner after a long day. Third, WOW. The happy hour is absolutely killer! They have specials on appetizers, rolls, and cocktails. They also offer an amazing lunch menu. The sushi itself was delicious. We ate everything on our plate, which was quite a bit! We left full and satisfied. The best part? It didn't put a hefty dent in our wallets. We will be back and thank you!

They have redecorated since we last visited this place. Most of the sushi is still great. We had the Diablo Roll, Summer Roll, Torosan (speciality roll) along with a few pieces of nigiri.Unfortunately the haberno sauce on one of our favorites (Diablo Roll) was overpowering, making it difficult to enjoy it and the other rolls.Service was slow and the waitress barely smiled, providing the bare minimum, if that.We have eaten here about 5 times, always enjoyable but this last visit has made us reconsider this sushi restaurant for future visits.The restaurant was quite - we were the only ones in there for the first 45 minutes making me to believe we picked the wrong place for lunch.

Sushi was pretty solid! It tasted fresh, and I liked how the sauces were not overwhelmingly heavy/ sweet. The chicken karaage was okay, as the coating felt gummy and a little off. The service and ambiance were great! Servers were very accommodating. I went for a solo dinner and had a relaxing time. My total for all of this during happy hour was around $35 pre tip. Would return!

Quality wise, this place has not disappointed me at all. Tonight, I only needed a few to several sushi (nigiri) pieces to add to what I already had at the house. A few things to mention that was a bit disappointing to start this review....1. The young lady who assisted me was a bit short and not smiling. She wasn't rude but when I thought she was assisting me, she, all of a sudden, was on the phone talking to someone so when I thought I was talking to her, I was actually talking to myself. Then there was another young lady who told me she was on the phone so she said once she was done with it, she'd assist me. How embarrassing (lol)! 2. Is there a global uni (sea urchin) shortage going on? if I'm not mistaken, the last time I tried to order uni, this place didn't have it. Tonight was another night; they said they didn't have it. I then asked for red snapper. The same answer: "We are out of it." At that point, I was like, "What else do you have then??" LOL! A few good things to mention...1. I really like the interior of this place. Nice wood feel is throughout the restaurant. The sushi bar has a great ambiance as well. 2. The sushi/nigiri pieces (the rice part) is a good size. I've been to many sushi restaurants where they make the rice part so small to a point where I got the impression that they were simply trying to beat the inflation by cutting down the number of rice grains they put in each sushi/nigiri piece. This place is an exception. I was truly happy with each sushi I got. The yellowtail, saba, and scallps, they all tasted fresh. 3. The sushi chefs were very welcoming and nice to me. When I was walking away from the restaurant, both chefs said a nice thank you to me. Well, this pretty much summarizes my to-go experience on Thursday, June 8, 2023. I'm pretty sure they have good days and bad days; we all do, right? I still support this restaurant though; it's one of my go-to places in the DTC neighborhood.

The waitress we had was really nice and helpful. She was really patient with us when we had a hard time deciding. Every thing was really good and the prices during happy hour is unbeatable!! $5 for 8 pieces of sushi blew my mind. Inside was nice as well. We just got a booth in the back. Seriously, don't sleep on this deal!

ASA is my sushi restaurant of choice. I was in the greater Denver area for two weeks traveling for Florida and stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant I had the pleasure of sitting at the sushi bar and I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome from the waitress as well as the sushi chefs. I proceeded to visit ASA 4 other times during my trip and I must say each time the fish was very bright, Fresh and all rolls were very tasty. The owner is a first class guy, you'll be treated like family!I highly recommend dining here for your sushi!
