Anthony's Pizza and Pasta

Great, affordable, and consistent. That's how I can summarize Anthony's. Living in the neighbourhood, I can always rely on them to never be super busy but give me a great pizza. Their slices are something that will make a bad day better, and they will give it to you quickly. Service is always great and can tell the employees are genuinely happy there.

I am gluten free / dairy free so I opted for their gluten free crust (not the cauliflower one) with red sauce and my choice of toppings and no cheese.....and for what it was, it was honestly really good. The gluten free crust was quite soft and fluffy which is hard to find with gluten free most times. I will say I wish they had a vegan cheese option bc with cheese, that gf pizza has crazy potential.

Not sure why Anthony's has a three star average. It made me want to leave a review for them. I've been coming here for years and have always had a pleasant experience. Love their pizza.

Pizza is excellent, there's not many places that have great pizza in Denver. Now we've been ordering here for over seven years and the 2 stars is because when we ordered last week they auto charged 20% on a pick up order. Not cool.... Let customers determine how much or if any tip should be paid.

Nope! Long story short: We paid $27 for a 2-hour old & cold pizza. If that's how they want to run their business then no thank you.We have ordered from here before and it's been okay but this time was not good. We called at 5pm and ordered a pizza for delivery. An hour later when it didn't show up we called to inquire and they said "oh you're out of our area, we cancelled the order." Note that the restaurant is at 7th and Colorado Ave. and we live right off of 18th and Colorado Ave. (about a 6 minute drive). We said hey we are close enough. They said that they called to let us know but our phone never rang. What a pain! They said ok we will do a new pizza and it'll be ready in 20 minutes. So we drive over and asked in person "how can you compensate for this mix up?" The girl said to the effect, "I'm sorry, I'm new, I made the mistake. There is no manager and I only have the authority to give you $7 off. So we pay $27, drive home and find out the pizza is the original pizza made 2 hours prior (it's 7pm by now). It's cold and dry with a hard crust. It's admirable that the girl admitted she was new and made a mistake-- I get that, it happens. However, if your business delivers pizzas then A) train your people to know the neighborhood and B) don't leave them to run the shop without a manager. Furthermore, if you say you're going to make a new pizza C) don't pass off the old one as new, it's quite obvious!Poor customer service/conflict resolution. Selling a 2 hour old pizza as a solution to a previous mistake is pretty weak. Hey It might be super expensive to remake a pizza but I highly doubt that. We get that mistakes happen but realize it and ensure that a customer gets a good product. Hard and cold ain't tasty.

When my kid asked where the lettuce was in his salad, their response was " That's just how they're coming out now"! Really?

When I picked up my pepperoni pizza ordered online & discovered pepperoni UNDER the cheese, it was unappetizing to me. I was very surprised because if you order a pepperoni pizza by the slice in the very same store, you get it done the New York way (pep "on top") & its great. So I handed back my untouched pie & asked them to do it over with pepperoni on top. Seems to me a reasonable request to expect product consistency. Website makes no reference to putting the pepperoni under the cheese.  An easy ask, an easy fix one might expect. Instead I got an argument from the manager Dan, who was interested only in a monologue about how they do things - which is...to sum up..if you order a pepperoni pie you get the opposite presentation than if you order a slice. Their attitude is - If you aren't happy about this 180, too bad!! I'm amazed at how rudely he treated me and my friend.  Instead of listening he adopted a combative defensive attitude, revealing that if he ever knew anything about customer service, its been long forgotten.  Truth is, I'm not into spending $25 on a pizza & instead of getting something good to eat, I get a lecture from a bully "manager". All Dan had to do from the get-go was say "I'm sorry let me do it over for you!!" & perhaps suggest to management to add something on the website to alert customers to this 180 situation at the point of ordering. Judging from his reaction, this is not the first complaint he has had on this topic. Don't shoot the messenger / customer!! It seems to me that management & staff would benefit from a trip to New York and learn that its NOT the New York style to put pepperoni under the cheese.  Is that even the style anywhere ?? Too bad as Anthony's USED to be my favorite pizza place & I was loyal to it, & and often overruled my family's preference for Blue Pan, who bends over backwards making sure you are more than happy.  I'll be going there from now on. They make a great pizza plus they know where to put the pepperoni!!

The moment I walked in, I knew I was going to be marinated with a delicious experience. Not only did I enjoy a culinary adventure but I also met the most handsome man. I will always come here to see AAA the most delightful bartender as well. She is the magician that makes it all come to fruition.

It took nearly two hours to receive our two cold pizzas. I have had wonderful pizza in the DU location but delivery was an hour later than promised.
