Alvarados Mexican Fast Food

I was able to call ahead & order that was super nice. I was running late and I was shocked that they serve the breakfast options 24/7. It's nice to know of this little spot. The burrito is hands down the best you can get around here. It's giant and you definitely get your moneys worth. The green salsa is good, I didn't care for the red as much. I will definitely be coming back!!!

Good food, but annoyed I tipped and they couldn't bring the food to the table...I don't tip for doing your job...

Decently priced Mexican fast food. We've been pleased with the food so far--chimichangas, tacos, burritos. My crisp beef tacos had plenty of fresh coarsely ground beef and were delicious, but strangely had no tomato on them. The Pico de Gallo barely has any tomatoes, either. The grilled chicken burrito also contained high quality meat. The chimichangas are large, crispy, and yummy. Not sure what the dine in ambiance is like since we've only used the drive-through. For some reason, we've had a problem with each employee on all 3 occasions we've ordered, with understanding our order correctly though we feel we're pretty clear communicating our requests. I'm very happy to have this 24 hour option so close to home!

Great service, food, and pricing w/huge serving sizes! Had to ask for another container for leftovers! Will be coming back for sure, partner & I enjoyed it here 110% and love that they're a 24hr business so we can always get our Mexican food fix in when need be! Very clean in here and Lupe was absolutely a sweet heart, she's one of the servers & was kind the entire time as well as ensuring all the tables & floors were in great condition. Plenty of parking options too & they also have a drive thru!

This burrito HITS! Hot sauces are fire! Freshest Dr Pepper in Denver!! Atmosphere: Burger King circa 2001 with a coat of paint. This is the place!

This was a pleasant and extremely clutch find!As you already know, I'm always on the hunt for the best eats in town. I'm also on the hunt for LATE NIGHT EATS. And though it's not slim pickens, it's still a gamble to find a local place open past 11pm dishing killer bites.Alvarados Mexican Fast Food has entered the chat. It appears they opened a few months ago down South Broadway in Englewood. From the outside looking in, it appears like they took over another fast food establishment.After a show at the Gothic, I pulled up Yelp and Alvarados was my one way ticket to enlightenment. Were my expectations high? Absolutely not, despite the solid Yelp score. I pulled up to the drive thru and there has to be 100 items on there. Say whaaaaaat?!I immediately became overwhelmed and paranoid that the cars behind me thought I was taking too long. So I landed on some tacos, Carnitas, Adovada and Spicy Chicken. Which I figured to be a safe bet. Price point was fine and to my surprise, the tacos were LOADED UP to the brim. The cashier threw me a bunch of red and green salsa, too.The verdict is in: these are solid late night tacos that are worth going out the way for if T-Bell is what you're in the mood for (thumbs down). The food was fresh and filled with delicious meat. I wish the salsas had a little bit more kick, but that's just me. The spicy chicken taco did have good heat though!Consider this man impressed. Especially since they're open 24/7. For Denver, that is huge, HUGE I tell you! Wish it was a little closer to me, but who am I to complain? If I'm seeing a show at the Gothic or have an event nearby that gets out late, you can find me scarfing down tacos in the Alvarados drive thru!

This is for the GWV location. It was my first time and it was disappointing. We had a torta which was ok, a premade chilli rellano which they flash fried before serving (but it was still cold and the cheese hard), and their Talapia fish tacos. They had to be a mistake. I bit into the taco and it was just fried breading no fish. I checked the second taco and it was 95% breading w a slim piece of rubbery something that might have once been fish. I can't imagine a restaurant knowingly serving something like that. But they did. I probably won't be back.

Oh, I really wanted to love it. Tried coming once before, but they were closed; my bad, should have checked near Thanksgiving.Pros: large portions, good salsa. Cons: heavy, goopy, oily tacos. Didn't enjoy the meat quality. Feel itchy and congested. Not up to the par of some other 24-hour spots in the metro area.

Portion sizes have gone down in the past 4-6 months unfortunately. I generally order the carnitas, and the quality is generally good even despite the amount that seemed to be that standard has decreased.Decided to try the enchiladas tonight, got home and realized I was given tacos. Which would explain why my food was bagged about 2-min after I ordered, which is the fastest turnaround time I have experienced ordering here before. Tacos may not be the thing to get. The corn tortillas are kinda like a blend between a chip, and a stale soft corn tortilla that was pre-fried and shaped hours ago. Hopefully next time I will get to enjoy a delicious enchilada smothered in guajillo chili sauce.The cashier's are always super friendly, but I have never dined in for a meal since I live a couple of blocks away from the S. Broadway location.
