Came to check out Aurora Donuts this afternoon, Sunday 28 May 2023, and found the food items were take out only. We were still allowed to enter the shop to place our orders. After looking over the donut offerings, I went with a honey-dipped donut (ring) and an apple crumb donut (filled). The total was $3.50, I paid with cash and tipped the change. I also received a donut hole, which I would guess was a honey-dipped as well. The worker at the counter was following COVID-19 protocols and was cordial, a barrier was in place between the worker/baked goods area and the customer area. Both the honey-dipped ring donut and the donut hole were very light and fluffy, the donut hole almost too much so for my taste buds. The ring donut was a little less airy. Honey flavor added sweetness without a sugar taste residue, a nice variation for sweet flavor in a donut. Of the three items, I thought the apple crumb donut (which I found out was a filled donut) was the best of the batch. It had toasted coconut on top and was filled with an apple pie-like mixture. I found it to be a satisfying donut both on its own and as a part of the batch.

This place is right across my gym so decided to give it a try this weekend. I was a bit skeptical at first but when I looked up their yelp review, I knew I had to try them and super excited about their espresso. However I was told they no longer have that even though they have espresso sign by the door so I wasn't happy about the false advertisement. Other than that, the donuts were above average, I can taste the oil in my mouth but it was still pretty good. There's no dining in the restaurant, after all, it's located right on the aurora strip so I get the reason behind it so the ambiance as you can imagine is pretty quiet in the restaurant. They do charge you $.39 if you use your card for less than $20 so you should take cash with you. Also, they only have drip coffee for purchase so if you are expecting latte or espresso, this place don't have it.

I came here just after 5 pm on a Tuesday. No one was in line but the donuts definitely were picked over - not a bad thing though, usually means the opposite! Micky (sp?) greeted me as I came in and was extremely friendly. I took advantage of the 6 donuts for $7 deal after 5PM deal. Although "deal" may loosely describe the price I still enjoyed picking out my donuts and getting Micky's recommendations. When it came time to pick my final option I was stuck between 2 (maple and marble frosted). I asked for her opinion and she just gave me both for no extra charge - so I ended with 7 donuts for $7! Cash is preferable but they do take card ($.39 fee). Ambiance is nothing crazy, expect a traditional donut shop vibe! That being said I will definitely be back!

Dare I say, "normal" yeast-raised donuts here. Exactly what I wanted. Not soy-laden vegan crap that I'm allergic to anyway, not fancy, just normal donuts at a normal price, and they were good. Even better, they were still good despite me buying them around 5 pm on a Saturday. The lady that served me was very friendly and threw in some donut holes with my order. She did forget the first donut I asked for, but I don't think I was charged for it. Even if I was, the prices are so reasonable that I didn't notice.

Donuts were way too sweet, sugary and cold when we came in at 9am. I will not return, the old fashioned was different than any I've ever had and it taste like the grease used was old.

This place is a 4 star for now with a potential for 5 star as we need to try more things here. We were in the area so we decided to stop by as I'm still on a mission to try as many donut shop in the greater Seattle as I can and this was on my list :)We came around 9:30 in the morning on a Saturday and it was kinda empty at first but after, the regulars came and there was a small line. There's a small parking lot in front and it looks like they serve ice cream as well. After a lot of debate, we decided on the maple bacon donut, the French crueller, and the toasted coconut.Maple bacon (4.5/5), a little pricey at $3.69 but according to my husband 'one of the best maple bacon donut he has eaten'. The sweet and salty flavor was really balance and I love the extra pepper on the donut. Also light and fluffy.Crueller (5/5). I love cruellers and so I can be picky about which cruellersnare good. And these are good. They are crispy on the outside and sturdy but the inside is soooo soft and air. Most places is too soft and flabby.Toasted coconut (3/5) - this was kinda disappointed compare to the other 2. The inside was filled with Bavarian cream and the shredded coconut are on top but you can't really taste the coconut at all. Its still soft and fluffy though and there was a substantial amount of cream inside. Definitely want to come back to try their other donuts and it looks like they do end of the day sale where you buy 6 donuts for $7.

I have been craving a donut for the last few days and I'm so glad to have found this place. The gentleman behind the counter couldn't have been nicer and the donuts were sooooo good! I live in Capitol Hill but would gladly make the trek back here again and then this time buy a dozen.

I've driven by this place 100's of times and decided to stop in to see what this place is all about. I had a maple bar and an apple fritter. They were light as air on the inside and sweet and tasty on the outside. I love coming to these old school donut shops! I would suggest putting in an espresso machine because nothing goes better with donuts than a good coffee. Only drip was available... Still a good experience and the donuts were top notch!

The past five visits have been stellar and mostly on behalf of The Homie. He often receives extra items due their generosity towards high school and college students.Time for an updated post since I find myself often detouring here versus another doughnut shop in Lynnwood. There's a wide variety of doughnuts available, even from mid afternoon until closing. They also offer discounts after 5pm, 5 for $7.There's also ice cream and milkshakes. No onsite seating, just takeout. No surprise with its North Seattle/Aurora location. Go and support this indie, family run business!Increased from 3 to 4 stars.

I stopped in at my donut shop & went home with four donuts. Here is my story:Four tasty donuts sitting in a sack. She took just one, then put half back. The half soon was gone. No one saw it go.Three tasty donuts were there in a row.The camera flashed as she took a pic.Two went back in the sack. That was quick.Sometime over night a half disappearedNext morning just one remained, as feared"Oh my", she said. "That donut looks sad."She ate it fast so it wouldn't feel bad.
