We happened to stop by for Martini Mondays! My sister and I had 2 Lychee Guava Martinis and they were so good!On the other hand, our meals were decent. Not very memorable. I ordered the Blackened Salmon medium well with mashed potatoes and my sister had their Steak Frittes. She wasn't impressed with her meal. I will say the bill was higher than expected and they automatically charge 18% gratuity. I probably wouldn't return because the price paid didn't match up with the meal served.

Ok so this place is amazing. The vibe is super dope!! The pictures and the atmosphere are definitely a plus. We visited for the first time on a Friday around 430p. It was pretty empty, which was fine for us. We were greeted immediately as we entered by a young lady and sat at a booth. Again the vibe was amazing! In comes Jada! She introduces herself and says she will be waiting on us. Jada was the perfect waitress. She was attentive and friendly. She even brought us some cornbread muffins becuase of a very short wait for our food. I think she was just being a great waitress.... The muffins were flavorful and yesssss they melted in our mouths.. We ordered the fried catfish punch train and the salmon pasta and when it came out......Whew!! It looked soooo good. The presentation of the food was great and the taste!! Magnifique!!! Jada told me I would get a large piece of catfish and yes I did!! It was fried to perfection and the sauce had a creole flavor that wouldn't let me stop eating it. All of this sat on a bed of rice... LAWD!!! My wife had the salmon pasta and she said it had a very good flavor as well. The salmon had a very nice crust on it and the pasta was filled will tasty sauce. I will definitely be visiting this location again and telling others about it. They even have a live DJ on the weekends so I'm sure its lit!! You should definitely visit and ASK FOR JADA.

Early dinner on a Thursday to avoid the crowds was the best decision. Only a few other guests were there so we could get the full experience. Unfortunately they don't have a happy or social hour so don't expect discounts. The host was very nice and offered us a table by the door but we opted for a view of the entire restaurant. The server was very nice and welcomed us in. She suggested some favorites. We ordered the cornbread, cauliflower, turkey wing dinner and steak frittes. I also added the Adult Kool-Aid with vanilla vodka that was extremely tasty and refreshing. The sprig of lavender was the perfect touch! The meal was good, great presentation and a nice sized portion. I expected thicker cuts of steak but it was delicious. The turkey seemed cooked the day prior, greens weren't hot and sweet potatoes were overly nutmeg flavored for our taste. The location is beside J.R. Crickets so get there early for parking and avoid crowds. Wednesdays they do an outdoor event during the summer so venture at your own risk. Overall, I love a new place with options in the neighborhood. I'd come back for breakfast (served all day) and the cocktails. Downside: The place could be cleaner, saw dirt & bugs from outside on the floor. Flowers looked dead, sticky table tops, etc. 18% gratuity is standard.

We were in the area and my friend wanted something quick to eat. We were at the restaurant next door but she wanted something different. She ordered a side of Mac and cheese to go. To begin with the side dish was $12 and it was a small anoint. To add insult to injury she had to season it for flavor. I wanted to check this place out for other dishes but this experience has me on the fence. Giving them 2 stars for the service because it was good.

I came here on a Sunday late afternoon and was glad I made the trip. It's located in a small plaza and there is free parking. My waitress Jada was amazing. She was super friendly and very helpful by providing recommendations since it was my first time there. There is music playing that is a little loud and has profanity so if you have small children you may want to consider that. I had the Lychee Martini which was delicious. I also tried the General Tso Cauliflower which was new to me. It was a good lite appetizer. For my entree I ordered the fried catfish with mac and cheese and collard greens. The fish was good and those collard greens were delicious. The Mac and cheese was missing something in flavor to me so I probably won't order that again. Overall, the restaurant was clean and the art on the walls was a nice touch. I will definitely return.

Came in for brunch and to try the new spot in town. After struggling on what to order I decided on the Catfish and grits. It was very very well seasoned and tasted amazing. I didn't care for the presentation...especially since I chose the restaurant based on pictures from yelp. I would have liked more vegetables...there were only a few onions sprinkled here and there. I believe my dining partner ordered blackened fish and that was also very good. We sat at the bar and the service was good! I didn't feel like drinking so I ordered sweet tea and she made it look like a cocktail. I thought that was cute! I would definitely return here for brunch. These folks really know how to season some food!

I was super excited to try this new neighborhood gem based on some videos + reviews, but left a bit underwhelmed. Food: ordered the Catfish Punchy Train, which is catfish (your choice of blackened or fried), over dirty rice covered with a Cajun cream sauce. It was very yummy, but I feel like it upset my stomach after. The next day I tried to eat my leftovers & felt the same stomach ache from the day before. Not sure what that was about. Without the stomach ache, this dish was a 10/10. My mom ordered the Cajun Pasta which she enjoyed, but the flavor was lackluster to me. I also ordered the corn muffins as an appetizer, but never received them after asking for them twice. The waitress was nice enough to pack me 2 to go, but I was still disappointed. The restaurant wasn't busy enough for that to be excusable. Drinks: The drinks were the highlight of the visit. We had the Auntie Rita & Lychee Martini. Both 10/10! I would come back for the drinks alone. Ambiance: Indoor seating + nice outdoor patio with a fan. There was R&B playing at level nice enough for you to hear your conversation.Service: I'd love to see this place brush up on their attentiveness + service. Have someone greeting guests as they walk in & be friendly :)

Parking was free and ample. We had reservations for 11 and were seated immediately. Our waitress came over as soon as we sat done. She was very courteous and knowledgeable. She even made recommendations about menu items. The decor gave a neo-soul/old school r&b vibe, which I absolutely loved. There was ample light to see the menu. The food was very good. Can't wait to visit again.

Found this place by searching for Brunch spots in this specific area. I went on a Friday evening for my birthday, just wanting to celebrate making it to another year! Was greeted by a waitress and she let me pick the seating it wasn't busy at the time. I received a nice waiter upon sitting and ordered my food after browsing the menu. I was recommended a few options and decided to go upon the catfish and grits. Once my food arrived at the table the fish was hot but the grits and sauce were warm. In addition to the food being lukewarm, it was missing tomatoes which were apart of the dish. I kindly told my waitress and she brought another bowl of sauce that was made but it had 1 grape tomatoes. Lastly I had the banana pudding and unfortunately it was super sweet and did not have bananas. More of an instant pudding with mixed soft cooked and cool whip. Overall my waitress was nice, but the food was mediocre at best.

We were able to make same day 8PM reservations for Friday. There was a nice mixed crowd. Aunties House is definitely cute, I absolutely love the bar design and art. Oiur server Ty was very friendly and knowledgeable. We definitely experienced some hiccups however, the staff was quick to make everything right and I appreciate that. PROSFood - i ordered the jerk chicken with mashed potatoes and substituted the broccolini for Brussels sprout. This meal was delicious and filling. I asked for a side of oxtail gravy as well. My husband ordered chargrilled oysters (good) and steak fritters. Service - The staff was kind and I recommend asking for Ty to be your server. He provides service with a smile and a great attitude. Cocktail - My Aunt Rita that was made by Q was on point.Vibe - Definitely a good vibe. Location - Great location Parking - This is always important to me and wasn't an issue. CONSOut of stock on so many items, that was a real bummer. There was no music playing for at least the first 60-90 minutes which was odd for a Friday night. I'm very intentional about supporting black small businesses. My first visit wasn't perfect, but overall it was an overall good. I look forward to visiting again in the near future. I truly want to see this establishment thrive.
