excellent customer service, excellent food, ordered delivery and everything tasted great and arrived hot. ordered the the half slab and brisket combo and a cubano. the ribs are super tender. really love their brisket too. got a bot too full by the time i got to cubano this is so much better than all the wagyu hotpot hype. can't wait to try their tacos next time they sound really passionate about the food they make and it does show. I recommend everyone give it a try! I can see why they had great reviews in lincoln square. only wish I had tried them when I walked by before they moved. bet if they make corn bread and mac and cheese it'd taste great too please make some

Nope. I've eaten food from here twice. Once was about 6 months ago and they were about 30 minutes away from closing but you would think they were closed. The service was awful and the food was not that great. I believe I ordered their Birria Tacos - soaked in too much consome.Tonight I was craving Ribs so I did Grubhub for some food here. I ordered a slab of Ribs, Coleslaw and a side of fries. In my gut I knew I should've ordered from Smoque but I figured I'd give this joint a chance for their ribs. Big mistake. I ate about 1/2 of the slab and threw out the rest because it was like I was eating jerky. I ate 1/2 because I was starving and to eat dinner around 8:30p is late for me. I was hoping for some tender pork here but not the case. I had to use a steak knife for these ribs. Sad. The fries were fine and the Cole Slaw was flavorless.I gave this place two chances and both were fails. I'm done!

There have been several restaurants in this space over the years with ATX Bodega being the most recent one, having moved in here 3-4 years back. Many a time I've thought maybe I should stop in, and tonight when I had a major craving for chips and salsa from Salsa's Family Market I decided it was a good time to get something to go with it.I got the birria tacos and the jerk chicken tacos. They were both fantastic! I didn't like the red sauce, but the green sauce that came with them was yummy. The tacos I ordered came with the consommé and that did very much enhance the flavor. I also got the cornbread, which was okay (a little sticky... I guess maybe moist?... I haven't had a lot of cornbread, and I've never had it with this consistency, but it was quite good). I also got a couple of chocolate chip cookies for dessert, yummy. There isn't much inside to speak of. There are a few counter seats, and some benches to hang out and wait whilst your order is being prepped. It's a takeout place, primarily, though they did have some picnic tables out back for eating (it's currently far too cold for that). All in all I was really pleased with the place. I'd have rated it 4 stars but for the incorrect item (I ordered birria tacos, not birria tacos with cheese, which was a different item on their menu) and for the prices, which are really ridiculously high for tacos. Having said all that, I imagine we'll try their BBQ sometime.

ATX Bodega is so. dang. YUMMY! We were in the neighborhood driving by and the moment we passed it I knew that is where we were going for lunch. And I'm so glad we did! There is no dine-in which was fine with us (though is does look like they set up some picnic tables in a parking lot when the weather is nice). I ended up ordering the Birria tacos and my husband went with the pulled pork sandwich. We also ordered a side of elotes to share. The gal working the counter was very friendly and helpful. The food was ready in about 10 minutes and packaged nicely for our drive home. The car ride smells were immaculate. The tacos consisted of shredded brisket topped with cabbage, pickled onion, and cilantro and is held in 2 corn tortillas fused together with cheese. It's the quesadilla taco of your dreams. The consommé dipping sauce it's served with takes it from a 10 to an 11. The three tacos are MORE than filling and honestly couldn't even get through the last one despite how fantastic it is. I loved the elotes as well, but I think next time I'll try the queso or jalapeno cornbread. My husband really enjoyed his sandwich and fries that they came with as well.No complaints! Excited to come back.

Wow, this place is incredible. Seriously, the tacos are amazing! I ordered takeout on a Saturday afternoon- 2x 3 Birria taco with cheese platters, elotes, and queso with chips. This all came out to about $50. Somewhat steep for takeout but we were really craving food tacos. The taco platters are $17 and come with the consume dipping broth- a generous portion! I've ordered birria tacos before and gotten a measly 2 oz of consume but not the case here- the 12ish oz was more than enough for me. They also gave me two salsas and limes for each taco set. These tacos are LOADED. There's probably 5 oz of meat at least in each taco. I could only eat two before I was stuffed. The double corn tortillas have cheese stuffed between them and the whole thing is fried and delicious. I really thoroughly enjoyed these tacos and I will be ordering from here frequently. These really hit the spot! The meat was tender, the consume was flavorful, and the tortillas were perfectly fried. I really like that they packaged each taco individually in each paper then foil, so they stayed crispy and warm. The consume was in sturdy sealed containers that didn't leak and stayed hot on my drive home. I know it sounds silly to talk about the packaging but it's an attention to detail I appreciate! Things with this kind of taco could go really wrong with crappy packaging. Anyways. Tacos- incredible. Amazing. Definitely get them. The elotes were skippable. The corn was mushy and tasted unevenly cooked. Just not great. The queso, on the other hand, was excellent. Very classic Texan queso that is delicious and creamy! Their chips were really good too, crispy and salty. In conclusion, I'll definitely be back here and soon! Get the tacos. By the way, I just reheated my last taco from yesterday in the microwave and it was ALMOST as good as yesterday.

While I stink at taking photos, this was a very, very tasty .But to my everlasting shame, i did NOT get the cheese between the shell of my carefully crafted corn tortilla birria taco...I wake up at night screaming, haunted by my decision and the consequence of that are sleepless nights, coupled with a desire to go back and rewrite history, this time making the right call. Some people argue "If I'd go back in time, it'd be to kill Hitler, that's what I'd do"...Not me. Not this guy. Now I'm no fan of Hitler, but me...this guy is getting the taco he SHOULD have gotten. That's what I'm doing with my time machine. So yeah, it's a pretty good taco food place.Patio seating out back.

I have to say... I am beyond excited to live within walking distance from ATX. I am not necessarily experienced in birria tacos, but these tacos are definitely the best in the area. The meat is always tender and I love dipping it in the consome. It definitely intensifies the beef flavor. When I feel really wild, I also throw on their delicious salsas. Recently, they expanded their hours and their menu to include bbq options. The wagyu brisket was delicious. We loved the bark. My one critique is that it could have been a bit more tender. It was just a tad on the dry side. We have also tried their prime brisket. While ok, I would highly recommend the wagyu over this. It had more flavor and a better texture. We also tried the pulled pork quesadillas. Those were a little disappointing. The meat was dry and flavorless. In terms of side dishes, the Carne asada fries are great. How can you go wrong with cheese and meat on fries?? Overall, a solid addition to this neighborhood. We will definitely be frequenting.

Thankful to the ATX Bodega family bringing the art of smoked meat to the north side! And it's AMAZING! I usually go for the birria tacos and consome which are out of this world!!! I will now be getting the pork shoulder and brisket by the pound regularly. The couple who run the bodega give back to the neighborhood every way they can too, which is just so cool. They often drop off platters of food to the fire station on Foster. Amazing food, amazing people and very thankful to have this gem in the neighborhood!
