Atlas is a culinary masterpiece that excels in every aspect. Expect unmatched service and exquisite cuisine in a warm, elegant ambiance. I'm a relatively frequent cocktail consumer at the bar - finally decided to arrange for a proper meal after witnessing gorgeous plates sitting on nearby tables during every visit. The staff is a massive differentiator from other fine dining. Every interaction you have from your first step inside will demonstrate that management has invested a great deal of effort into assembling a lovely, professional and exceedingly knowledgable team that is eager to create a memorable experience. Our server (I believe his name was Chris) detailed every menu selection we were interested in with ease. Our only regret was that we failed to arrive hungrier! The miniature starters were a treat, and nearly too beautiful to eat. Foie gras between thin crackers, a bite of gazpacho, and a crunchy octopus shaped puff with a dipping sauce that leaves you awe struck. The seafood tower was one of, if not the best, I've ever had. A perfect blend of lobster, oysters, shrimp and carpaccio. Fresh, flavorful and perfectly portioned. We will be back for the tasting menu next time!

Back after at least 5 years! First time back since they have received their ONE star. Started with cocktails and 2 tastings (no supp) and shared one classic pairing = $1k. Definitely on the pricier side, especially for a one star. The hospitality has always been top notch at Atlas, especially now they are under the limelight of Michelin. Will be back just for bites and cocktails at the bar. Don't think I could sit through another tasting.

After my visit, I honestly thought that this place deserves at least 2 stars, not 1. I've been to 2 Michelin star restaurants before and this was on par, dare I say even better than some of the 2 star ones! Walking into Atlas, you're greeted with such courtesy. It's an experience when you purely get to enjoy being treated like royalty. The waiters were poised and knowledgeable about the food. I also got to talk to the sommelier about wine pairings! We went during Christmas time so the decor was so elegant. Everything in the place just looks like it makes sense. Anyways, moving onto the food. During times like these, I wish I had a bigger stomach so I can eat everything. We started with some appetizers, which was some of the most unique appetizers I've ever seen. My person favorite with the Jammie dodgers. Each dish was quite unique, but I'd have to say the whole bird was just stunning! Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavors just worked so well. Take the hen's egg, for example. When I saw it on the menu, I wondered, how good can you really make an egg. Turns out, Chef Freddy can make a eggs pretty d*** good. I've never had an egg dish that left me lost for words. An indescribable experience! If I'm in Atlanta, I MUST GO TO ATLAS AGAIN! Truly a splurge for myself.

It was our anniversary and we were running late for our reservation... I totally freaked out and was afraid that I would not be able to make it! There were no more online reservations so I called in a panic and they assured me that my table would be waiting for me and to drive safely! This made my heart so happy as it's been a dream of mine to dine at a Michelin star restaurant. When we arrived at the St. Regis, the valet was quick and professional. We took the elevator to the second floor and walked into Atlas. The lighting was dark, but felt sophisticated, and the front of the house was extremely welcoming, and everyone wished us a happy anniversary. We were seated and we met Andre who was our waiter for the evening. Andre explained the tasting menu and assured us that the items would be substituted due to my husband being a pescatarian and a non-pork eater. My husband wanted to live on the 'culinary' edge that night and informed Andre that he will eat everything on the menu with the exception of pork. I thought to myself this is going to be epic! We settled in with some classic cocktails, me having the holy smokes and my husband having the spicy margarita. As our adventure was about to start I couldn't tear my eyes away from the staff and how precise they all were. From walking to cutting corners, to pouring with one hand behind their backs and never letting your glass get to 1/2 way empty...I was fascinated! Having a full view of the kitchen I got to see some of the magic. Singing from the open kitchen was "YES CHEF!!" & "HANDS PLEASE!" I literally felt like I was inside of a Food Network episode and I loved every minute of it. Now on to the food...It was the reason we were here. The tasting menu had many courses and every dish that hit the table made your tastebuds dance & your vision sparkle with the exquisite plating and creativity. The flavors of each dish were in sync, well balanced, and extremely cravable. Yes, the plates are small, but the deliciousness will have you scraping and wanting more and before you can blink, your next course is placed right in front of you to start the experience all over again! Yelp family...This was special. Prior to bringing out the lamb dish, they let you choose your own personal knife from a case of knives with each handle and blade having its own story told by Andre. 2 1/2 hours later the experience was ending and not only was I extremely satisfied, but my heart was full and I was impressed. Thank you Atlas for making my wedding anniversary dinner magical!

This was the last restaurant for me to try on the Atlanta Michelin Guide, and I was pretty disappointed with the experience for the price. The service was attentive but a bit robotic. They forgot to place one of my drink orders, but after the ~15min delay and reminder they at least comped it. The drinks were good and strong. Rather than do the tasting menu, we ordered a variety of a la carte items -- we had plenty of food for the cost of less than one tasting menu meal. The food items were mixed in quality and flavor. They brought out a few snacks -- some of which are featured in my photos -- that were mostly good. The raw fish dish we ordered was very disappointing -- a bit tough and overly fishy -- I'd stay away. The pasta dishes were the highlight of the meal -- I'd highly recommend those. The restaurant space is nicely decorated. For a restaurant of this caliber, I'm surprised they don't have their own internal bathroom (instead you have to go out into the hotel). Overall, I would not recommend Atlas given its quality for the price; it doesn't deserve its Michelin star in my opinion.

10/10! We've done a handful of Michelin stared restaurants and this was up to par! The service was incredible. Our waiter guided us on what we should do, like ordering just one Wagyu and not two. Would highly recommend the Wagyu! It was tender and so delicious. All of the food was impeccable. Every course was amazing. I didn't love that "the whole bird" had the bird head and legs...but that's more a personal thing. My husband had no issue enjoying it! I have a nut allergy and they were very accommodating which I loved. We had a rather large table for just two but with all of the plates it made sense. I will say the bar in front got a little noisy which was a smidge annoying but not awful.

After much anticipation, we finally came to the Michelin rated Atlas for a birthday dinner. While it had impeccable service, thoughtful touches, and a beautiful dining area, ultimately the thing you come to dinner for - the food - fell short of what I would expect a Michelin star restaurant to deliver. Upon entering the dining area, we were invited to a table for two that was beautifully set up - well spaced and intimate. After a warm towel, we started our vegan tasting menu. The pace of the menu was spaced over the course of many dishes - from appetizers to entrees to desserts. Some of my favorite were:-Vichysoisse: a leek and potato soup accompanied with thinly sliced fried onions and small pieces of veggies underneath. Very tasty and whetted the pallet!-Carrot: while the dish itself was nothing particularly impressive overall, I could have bottled the sauce and doused it all over. Delicious!-all dessert courses: Atlas shined in this category. From the beautiful Viennese rose course (which also has a fun experience with it) to the Bartlett pear sorbet and the Chocolat V dish, the desserts were beautifully served and well balanced. The other dishes fell flat. While they were beautifully decorated, on elegant plating, and tried to be interesting, they lacked the elevation to really entice the taste buds. For example, the kohlrabi dish was just thinly sliced kohlrabi, sitting in a soup of more kohlrabi. There wasn't anything particularly developed in flavor - simple things like a little hint of sea salt and umami would have worked. There was not much variety in the veggie-forward dishes - just various ways of eating a vegetable. The flavors were boring. We kept eating courses before dessert thinking we may find something that was scintillating yet it never quite came. We were never "wowed" as I would expect at a place that has a Michelin starWe also had the wagyu addition (it was indicated it was halal) which had the same accoutrements as the maitake dish. I wish we were notified of this ahead of ordering it, because it tasted like the same dish. I will say - the vegan menu lacked protein (which is why we ordered the wagyu to start with). The bread service provided throughout the meal was excellent - very fresh, plentiful (we were asked 3 times if we wanted more) and tasty. The service was excellent, the servers that catered to us were thoughtful, gave us extensive explanations as the courses were brought out, and even offered us the opportunity to learn more about the art on the walls through an iPad. They also asked about dietary restrictions and made sure they were aware of them throughout the menu. Overall:5/5 for the ambience5+++/5 for service3/5 for foodI'm not sure if our review of the food is limited since we had the vegan tasting menu, but if you're offering it, you better make sure it lives up to the standards of the rest of the restaurant. It seemed more style than substance.

Atlas, located in St. Regis, is an upscale, swanky restaurant that has a very popular tasting menu. (They have an a-la-carte menu too but when I looked around, it seemed everyone was doing the tasting menu!) The service was very personal and the food tasted great with great presentation. It's pricy, as expected from anything in St. Regis. We went in October and this was the tasting menu we received:Course 0: Amuse BoucheThe amuse bouche here was some small bites provided from the kitchen - a foie gras cookie with jam, some homemade chip with homemade dipping, a soft and crispy cracker with some beet powder salt and a small ball of deliciousness I can't remember exactly what it was. Everything was amazing and made me so excited of what's to come next.Course 1: Kristal CaviarIt does seem like if you want a Michelin star, then some form of caviar must be on the menu. I love caviar, so I'm not complaining. This is served with otoro (the under-belly inside the tuna), and ponzu creme. The ponzu creme is in the middle there. The flowers tasted like chocolate. The caviar was below the first flower, and tuna was below the second flower. I'm not sure how I was supposed to eat this whole thing but it was delicious.Course 2: A Waldorf Salad of SortsThis was a deconstructed Waldorf salad, and they poured liquid nitrogen on top to create a beautiful white smoke. Everything in this salad was heavenly and I loved the presentation.Course 3: SquashThey called this course Squash, but clearly there's more lobster than squash here, but who's complaining? There was also sea buckthorns in here and some kind of emulsion. Delicious.Course 4: Hen's EggThis course was a hen's egg, served with parsley, morels, and a pastry made with truffles. The two funny looking things towards the back of the photo is the pastry. The hen's egg had the colors of a century egg, sitting in a gravy type of sauce. The inside of the egg was soft. I dipped the bread in the gravy. My mouth is currently watering as I'm typing this because it was SO good. This was one of my favorite dishes of the night.Course 5: Poached HalibutWhen I first saw the halibut presented in a biscuit shape, I wasn't sure what to think of it, but once I took a stab at it, I realized it was actually very soft and tender. This came with beets three ways - pickled, fresh, and powdered. There was also some finger lime and regular lime in it. I never knew what finger lime was until I started dining at these restaurants recently. They call it the poor man's caviar, and it is so fitting. If you ever get your hands on some finger lime, try it. I loved this course.Course 6: Westholme WagyuWestholme Wagyu is from Australia and turned out to be the only dish I was disappointed in in the night. The beef was very tender as expected but it was also very fatty. I've enjoyed Wagyu beef from Japan and Georgia and they've never been so greasy. I'm glad this beef wasn't too large because I could barely finish it without feeling nauseous. This was served with pickled watermelon, pickled onion, and a few other condiments. We were instructed to cut up the beef and eat each bite with an accompaniment which did help cut down how greasy the meat was.Cheese CourseNow we were presented with an optional cheese course. I don't eat cheese so I was not interested in it. I did enjoy the presentation and the server was very knowledgeable about the cheese that was on display.Course 7: Lime, Vanilla, PineappleThis was our first dessert of the night and it came in a wine glass. This was delicious and not too sweet or too strong of any flavor. I loved the combination of everything in here.Course 8: FM RocherSimilar to a Ferrero Rocher, the FM Rocher is named after the culinary director and chef, Freddie Money. Taste like a Ferrero Rocher with vanilla, hazelnut and chocolate, this was absolutely amazing. When you crack open the ball, the inside spills onto the delicious crunches below, covers them in a chocolate and hazelnut glaze. Very good.MignardiseLast course was an assortment of mignardises such as gummy bears, mini ice cream cone, and some chocolates. We were pretty full at this point and didn't finish all the little candies but what we did try were great!Congratulations to Atlas on earing a Michelin star and I think it's well deserved.

Here is a Resteraunt with Michelin Star prices but unfortunately not the "goods". While the food many good moments, the staff had many "not so good" moments. At Michelin Star restaurants, the expectations of great food, great staff and a great ambiance must all be present to rate. Here they fell short on two of the three. Some things like a broken foot rail at the bar, servers not following etiquette on serving and clearing of the table, are what we will remember about Atlas. A few of the offerings on the chef tasting menu were notable, and a few not so much. Points do go to the Sommelier as he did recommend some great wines and was very personable. Doubtful we will be going back again.
