TLDR: Food: Good, Service: Good, Cost: Reasonable, Verdict: Try it if you are in Auburn. This is a local gem of a restaurant and you should come try it out. Certainly not the most authentic Greek/Italian combo restaurant in King County but easily the best option in Auburn and certainly the one that will leave you feeling cared about. I have never seen a community embrace a business like the did to this one when they had the misfortune of a fire. The people of Auburn have spoke and their rally cry felt like "Give me Pasta of Give me Death or at the very least Gyros." I have gotten to go dinner from this place more times than I can count and they are never disappointing. Ambiance: The casual ambiance and familiar vibe are exactly what you want in a local place like this one. I cannot speak highly enough about the atmosphere of this place. It is remodeled now after the fire but it still has all the charm of the old place but with a nice new coat of paint. Food: The pasta and the Greek food are equally good with the possibility that the Greek side of things is slightly better. I have never been disappointed by anything I have ordered but I will say that the containers for to go items sometimes have let me down. Service: I usually ordered to go and so I cannot speak to how service is if you sit down but I do know that their phone etiquete and in person hosts are pleasant and competent.

Staff was great , service could of been better ... Pizza is Pizza .... As for blend of flavors it wasn't there .

First, I asked the waiter what he recommends and he said the Athens pizza is a all time favorite. I ordered that. I never had pizza where the topping was in between the crust and the cheese? I come from New York where pizza is impeccable. This made the pizza itself very soggy on the base. Surprising it wasn't bad though and pretty good.Next, I got a pasta from the kids menu for my toddler. Basic spaghetti with meatballs that's a classic can't go wrong right? No absolutely not. This dish was absolutely disgusting. The meatballs taste like Campbell? And the pasta sauce was watery? Super confused. The sauce was tangy and disgusting like it came from a can. I was so disappointed. I get that it's for kids but this was nasty. My son loves carbs and he refused to eat more than 4 bitesWhen I look around people are either eating a sandwich or a salad mainly? Not much of the pizza or pasta which I thought was in the name of the restaurant

WOW!!!Simply put...Athens is the BEST!!! The service is ALWAYS impeccable; it's also always clean in there even though it's busy. Their take-out is done when they say it will be and every dish I've ever tried is DELICIOUS(I've had everything on the menu ). The atmosphere is SO friendly and always has been. It's like going to a family gathering at Grammy's house except I'm not stuck doing dishes. Best pizza EVER--the grinders...yes please!! Ooh...yes please

Loved their pastrami sandwich. Too big for one person. I took my leftovers thinking I could eat on it later and I had dump it going over the Canadian border. Waaaah! I can't wait to go back to this friendly family ran restaurant. Their pizzas looked great too. .. Delicious bread made this sandwich a pleasure to eat warm. Plenty of parking.

Such sweet people and amazing food. I ordered myself and family grinder sandwiches and ran late picking up. They were so understanding and so nice about it. The restaurant is always clean and has such a family type atmosphere.I'll be returning here again soon!

Not much good pizza around Auburn. I go here because it's reliably decent, I love pizza, and I am in Auburn a lot.If you want good pizza you have to go to Puyallup, Tacoma or Seattle. This is not a destination to get pizza.

Athens is a well known restaurant in the auburn area. I've been coming here with my husbands family since I met them. They've been coming for thirty years. It's really tasty but full of dairy so I can't eat much on the menu these days. The bbq chicken pizza is amazing but so are their pasta dishes. The owners and their family are wonderful and the service is kind, laid back and helpful. It's a hometown feel, laidback and casual.
