I was working downtown today and felt like eating Greek food.I looked and Yelp suggested this Greek restaurant,,,So Delicious!!!!!It's a busy restaurant with a lot of professionals dining there, we got there at 11:45am and we beat the lunch rush. It got so busy.A lot of very good looking men too, great spot to meet someone single?I saw a really good looking man with a grey hoodie eating at the bar with his computer but I didn't have the courage to say hello,,,,maybe next time?My girlfriend and I ordered the same salad. The Horiatiki farm salad, mine with baked chicken and she chose the gyro meat as her protein.Absolutely Delicious!!!Chicken was cooked perfectly and they gyro meat was also delicious.Robert our waiter was so nice and helpful.We finished our meal with the rice pudding and it was so delicious too, cold and not overly sweet.I couldn't finish my salad but I took it home for a snack later in the day.Athena's Market restaurant is Fantastic spot to grab a great lunch or dinner.Love it!!! On my top list of delicious places to eat in San Diego.

Walked by on my way back to hotel, circled back after looking at the menu online. Thursday at 7:30 not very many people inside. I walked in a female who appeared to be a hostess looked right at me and turned away. It was almost like she was trying to intimidate me. I stood there and waited for her to return she had me sit right near the glass. The bread was good as was the soup, the pasta was just ok, I ate the chunks of real garlic in it.An African American gentleman was my server he was pleasant.

Athens Market is always a solid choice for Greek food. Mary, the owner, is friendly and makes you feel welcome upon entry. Both the Kotopoulo and Chicken Souvlaki are great options (as is everything else on the menu). Good service, but the place can be quite loud during the week with a packed house standing in and around the bar area.

And when the delicious bread is served warm to your table accompanied by soft sweet butter; well then you know you're in the RIGHT PLACE!I've had the utter pleasure of dining here since 2017. Need I say more.Parking is less than anyone in their right mind would desire. You would be hard pressed to find better service in SD than here. Getting ready 4 outdoor dining, too! I had lunch there Wednesday past, always quite enjoyable.

we enjoyed an amazing meal at the AMT. The octopus appetizer; the dolmades; the avgolemono soup, and each meal we ordered was absolutely delicious! There were 10 in our party and we were all satisfied beyond our expectations. In addition to the amazing food, the service and hospitality were over the top! Highly recommended.

First time visit for a Friday night dinner with a friend. The restaurant is easy to get to and while the street parking is rarely straightforward in downtown, it's not as bad as other places. The tavern is on the first floor of a historic building with a pretty interior. When we walked in, it was half empty and felt like it was closed for a private event. Had to find someone to figure out that they are indeed open and to get seated. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. Food choice was Greek meatballs and moussaka and it was served surprisingly fast. The meatballs were good and I also got a taste of my friend's moussaka. This is where the negatives because obvious. The food was prepared earlier and reheated for us. Hard not to notice when there are pieces that are not even warm. I wanted to like this place, but badly reheated food is a high hurdle for me.

This place had delicious food and an incredibly nice staff! You can tell it's a place where the locals come, where people know each other. It was busy and buzzing with a good energy. We sat by the window and enjoyed a delicious meal with some wine. I would definitely come back!

Athens Market is close to home and has been there forever. There is a restaurant area and a bar area. It is a real neighborhood feel about this place. The Greek food is amazing, moussaka, salads, fish and pasta. There is a big variety on the menu. Good for large groups and families. The service is excellent. They do carry out and delivery. You won't be disappointed.

This place is terrific! We were greeted by the owner who is gracious and delightful. They were willing to create a drink they'd never heard of before and brought out extra pita (warm and delicious!) when we ate all of them but still had some of the three dips left. From lasagna to Souvlaki, chicken lemon soup (the best!) to dolma, everything was delicious! It was all so good that I forgot to take any pictures! We just dove right in. And the prices were really quite reasonable. Can't wait to come here again.
