I have left a review on 2 different occasions. The first was to download the app to leave a negative review on an establishment in El Paso. This is a completely different story. Jim may be one of the nicest, most personable people I have ever run across. From the outset of his establishment, you can have a mild sense of skepticism as the place is an unassuming and unmemorable, corner lot in a wine district shopping center. However, that is where the lack of memory stops. Jim, upon approaching, may be one of the most personable people I have ever run across. His customer experience has is exceptional, and it would be worth visiting His location simpler for the interaction. He has exceptional customer service and absolutely loves engaging patrons. In addition, The wines, without debate, are excellent quality and are worth tasting and enjoying in their own right. His selection is limited exclusively to red which takes absolutely nothing away from this product selection. His Zinfandel will likely be a staple of my more refined dinners and Christmas gifts for years to come. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone in any the area as well as tagging it as a must visit to on anyone on action. Have these interactions with Jim and have a memory you can share with your family and Friends for years to come.

I wanted to follow up on my previous review. We purchased the 2013 Syrah in March of last year and decided to open in this past weekend. It was ABSOLUTELY phenomenal. It certainly aged well, which has not been the case for other syrahs we have purchased from different wineries. If I still lived in Washington, I would stop by for more.

Do you find wine tasting intimidating? Are reds "too hard" for you drink? If you answered yes to either of these questions come check out this winery. You'll have a great time and meet a winemaker who is passionate about his work. Who could ask for more?! They pour new wines every month. I'll be back for sure.

Jim, the owner, was so kind and so attentive to our group. He taught us some great fun facts about wine making and tasting that helped us enjoy the experience more fully! Jim's red mountain cab and his two syrah's were excellent.

The best wine in Woodenville that I've tried. We did a vertical tasting of their Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah and let me tell you I was blown away with the flavors of the wine. The wine here is understated. The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon was my favorite. It left a velvety delicious bold flavor lingering on my tongue that left me wanting more. This wine would pair well with dark chocolate or steak, lamb or pasta. Apparently others have felt he same way I did about the wine here as the accolades were displayed though out the different varietals of wines produced by Aspenwood. The next time I am in Woodenville, I will be stopping by Aspenwood and purchasing some more of their delicious wines. This is hands down my favorite winery in Woodenville.

Jim, the owner and winemaker was very attentive. For one, he accommodated our large group and made sure to spend time telling us about each wine. He also took the time to educate us on levels of wine tasting, wine regions, and more. The wine was very tasty, we'd definitely come back. Overall a great experience.

We had such a great time here! The wine maker was very friendly and down to earth, he walked us through the areas where he gets his grapes in Eastern Washington. He makes wine from Barbera grapes and Zinfandel which is rare for WA, both are delicious. He only makes red wines, Cabernet Sauvignon seems to be his main grape of choice (no complaints there!). Only open Saturday and Sunday, wine tasting refunded with bottle purchases.

Jim was a great curator of our tasting experience. A very reasonable $10 fee allowed us to taste two recent wines and three wines from his library that were great. I find that almost every other tasting room has wines exclusively from their recent vintages, and many just taste too young (whether it be too tannic or just too bright/fruit-forward). But tasting a few wines that had spent some years in the bottle gave them a level of complexity and approachability that were a cut above most other wineries. Walked away with a few nice bottles to savor at home.
