WORLD CLASS ISSAN FOOD HAS ARRIVED! - I'm an ex-Yelp elite coming out of retirement to write this review, so let's set the stage with that. Now, no offense meant to our local Fedway places which are excellent, but my wife and I just tried Asian Express. What an understated name bc the food is RIDICULOUSLY GOOD! The name totally undersells how this place has some of the BEST THAI FOOD you will find in the PNW. My wife and I just got back from 2.5wks in Thailand and Asian Express flavors are so authentic, more northern so a little different than the more Bangok government approvrd style thai places around here. The portions are beyond generous, and GET THE SALADS! If you are Keto these will be life changing. We are not keto and they are still freaking spectacular. The meats are all velvety smooth, tender, and infused with the freshest lemongrass, thai basil, galangal, and kefir lime leaf we've had in the sound.Don't let the name fool you, this is a Thai place for the leaderboards. The name makes you think Panda Express or PF Changs. DO NOT BE FOOLED! This is HANDS DOWN SOME OF THE BEST THAI FOOD in the Puget Sound. @Yelp Elite - you gotta try this place, no one has heard of it, you can be among the first to spread the word! This place has flawless reviews, but it doesn't have many. Let's be honest, if you are truly 5 stars, the word gets out. I was skeptical, but decided to try them, nonetheless.The service was friendly and flawless, but the food was not 5 stars, not even close. I had the General's Tso's chicken, it was ok. The chicken didn't have much flavor and the sauce was far more sweet than savory or spicy. The portions were generous for the price and there was also plenty of rice. So far, I'd give them 5 stars for value and service, but the food was a 3 at best. I decided to double down and try the Fried Wontons. At $13 it wasn't a good deal and when I tasted them, they were the worst I've had. I ended up bringing them home and making them treats for my dog. In their defense, this is a Thai place and I got traditional Chinese plates, but I still expected better. The Wontons were a complete failure and honestly drops the review down to about a 1 based on flavor and value, but I'll be generous and leave the review as a 3 based on the lunch plate. I wouldn't come back and assume the people that posted 5-star reviews are either not convincing friends and returning themselves as this place was not busy. Since I'm not a Thai fan, I'll stop there, but again, based on reviews, I really expected better.

I absolutely love this place! My partner and I first tried out their food via delivery, and it was spectacular. We had decided to dine-in one day and the staff were so incredibly sweet and very welcoming. We were offered a few personal recommendations from their menu. I absolutely love their Ho Fun and Tom Kha. Since then, my partner and I have been dining in almost every other week!

Ordered a Panang curry. Very satisfied, tasty and hot enough for me on 4/5 lvl. Good service and kind manager! Recommend this new spot :)

General Tso's Chicken was great. Thai Chili Sauce was fantastic. The Owners are very nice.
