I received a coupon in the mail and wanted to give this local spot a try. The place is quaint and provides the local coffee shop ambiance feel. I ordered a large decaf iced americano, but did not realize that the 50% coupon was for a regular size. The barista who attended me pointed that out, so I requested to be charged the difference for a large. Another attendant over heard my request and immediately jump in a commented that the coupon was for a regular size only. It was clear that it was more important to stick with the coupon said as opposed to providing a good new customer experience from the staff at that moment. The drink was average, but unfortunately the service needs to improve with delivering positive first impressions!

The coffee and service are outstanding! This coffee shop in conveniently located iin the Sprouts and F45 shopping plaza.. Surprisingly, the shaded- peaceful ambiance, with modern patio furniture seating, makes social gatherings with my girlfriends warm and welcoming. This might have to be my new hangout coffee spot. My sister and I enjoyed artisan oat latte and Mexican mocha w/oat milk. They are both delicious and not too sweet for my taste buds. One of the things I like most is the patient and charming staff, spending time educating us on the menu. It's always a treat not to feel rushed and "have to know" what you want when you're in front of the line. Next time, I want to invite my daughter to the 3-5 pm 50% off drinks happy hour to encourage her to stop by this place for her next afterschool outing with her friends.

Very cute coffee spot in La Costa! They have a location in San Marcos too, but this one looks like it's pretty new. Staff are super friendly and willing to answer questions. They've got food and drinks for breakfast and lunch. They have many non coffee selections like matcha and smoothies. Decor is sooo cute and the art is very well done. I got their seasonal rosemary citrus latte hot. It has a great rosemary flavor but it overpowers the citrus a little. The latte is still delicious though. I also grabbed a bag of their beans for home, so we'll see how their espresso pulls. They have an app where you can rack up rewards too! Overall a great small business that's women owned and ethically sourced products.

Such nice service! The staff members were incredibly genuine and kind. We had a pleasant time placing our orders and received our drinks within a minute or two of ordering. There are plenty of seating options inside and out! We also had live music while we were there, but not sure if that's all the time. Still was great to experience! Also there is plenty of parking all around so this place is very easy to get to. My friend ordered the iced maple latte and I ordered the iced caramel brûlée latte. Both of us had to have alternative milks as well. I absolutely loved my drink. Just the perfect balance of sweet but still being able to taste the coffee itself. The maple latte was a little too sweet for us both but it was still something good to try. My friend and I both agreed that we loved the caramel brûlée latte the best!

Great coffee and great food. Owner and employees are very friendly. Glad to have them in the community offering a nice quaint spot for coffee

So, so yummy! The chipotle breakfast burrito was just the perfect amount of spice and my honey latte was delicious! My husband and I split the raspberry scone and I don't think I've ever had a better scone in my life! We did delivery so I'll have to stop in soon to pick up some beans but overall this is a great place!

This coffee lounge has plenty of spots to sit, catch up with a friend, or study!I enjoy the music and the fire pit right outside.This place provides both indoor & outdoor seating.Menu has a variety of drink options, hot or cold :)Baristas are very friendly as well!

Warming inviting atmosphere, great coffee and I love their fresh pastries.Service is speedy and staff is courteous. I usually order online and pickup in store, but recommend anyone to spend time in the cafe. It's great to see that they have expanded, I first heard about ASCEND in San Marcos. Heavily recommend over dated big chain mass produced coffee. I suggest their Loloru Dark Roast blend, I have personally bought over a dozen bags to brew at home.

We first met Erin the owner of Ascend , when she ran Old California Coffee shop, in San Marcos. Her place was our favorite coffee shop . Even though she is no longer as close by with this new location , we still stop by for her delicious coffee, Vanilla Latte, and breakfast .The breakfast burritos are the best !! No one has ever come close to making them , like her shop does. Erin, the owner is such a kind , and wonderful person . Always has a smile on her face. We know she strives to have happy customers , and truly cares about each person , and the quality of her food and drinks , along with the great service !!!!Thank you Erin, keep up the great work !!!
