Asado

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Tacoma!! Every single item I've ordered off of their menu has been delicious and flavorful. My all time favorite is their braised lamb shank (garron de Cordero) which is fall off the bone and has the best flavor from the cipollini mole. Asado's lamb shank is the best I've ever had. And the waitress was really nice by letting me sub the butter beans with poblana polenta. The poblana polenta was the best polenta I've ever had. I also love ordering their ceviche as the fish is always fresh and seasoned very well-pairs perfectly with the plantains. Their fresh warm bread (complimentary) is always perfect with their herbed butter. I really enjoy their mocktails and seasonal dishes such as the peaches and burrata. The service is always amazing, as they check in with our table often. I love introducing this restaurant to all my friends and family cause the menu always has dishes everybody will love. I highly recommend coming to this restaurant if you haven't

Incredible service and the food was to die for! I really recommend the corn empanadas and the tenderloin with polenta! Super yummy and I'd come back!

The food is very good but expensive. Our server was attentive, and the ambience is fine.

If I could give it more stars I would. I dunno why it's taken us so long to try Asado. Came on a packed Friday at 7pm and still managed to get in without a reservation. Wowza.The bread and butter was amazing. Like lick off your partner good. Ya know if you're into that. Both entrees were phenomenal. Had the Stuffed Chicken Breast and the Seared Halibut . We also had the lentils, and I never knew lentils were this amazing. All of it was wonderful. For portions as large as they were I thought these prices were beyond reasonable. We've def paid way more at places comparable and gotten way less food. Ambiance begins when you enter and are immediately immersed into what smells amazing. The aromas coming from the kitchen are absolutely incredible. It's what you wished your kitchen smelt like every time you cooked.

My hubby and I decided to return to Asado's after about 10yrs. The lighting was so dim But the seating arrangement was good. I remember it being much more crowded so that is definitely an improvement. Service was good. Staff was nice and our server was helpful in recommending our entrees. I had the lamb to try something new but the natural gamey taste was not for me. The sides it came with were good. Hubby ordered the pork. His was well seasoned and flavorful. Then last came the dessert. It was something of a wonton wrapped and deep fried apple dumpling with ice cream. Yummy and it was a HUGE serving!! We will definitely return.

This is hands down the absolute best steak I've ever had in my life ! I had the sirloin it was extremely flavorful and cooked perfectly the texture was great. The polenta was absolutely life changing it's a must. The chimichrri was delicious and fresh I could have eaten it like pudding. Our waiter was so friendly and checked on us several times. The place itself was nice good lighting clean and comfortable not too loud.

Came here for my friend's birthday dinner and I thoroughly enjoyed the food, ambiance and service. The waitstaff were personable, on top of re-fills, and quick to notice and discreetly confirm this was a birthday celebration. One star off because the kitchen seemed to be behind on the timing of orders. I'm not sure if this was a short staffing issue, if it was unexpectedly busy tonight, or what happened...but it took 45 minutes for bread to come, and about 2 hours for the rest of the meal. Reservations were for 6.45pm and plates came to the table around 8.30pm; it was about 10pm when we left. While I understand fine dining is meant to be leisurely, I think the wait was unreasonable as the meal did not begin until almost an hour into sitting down, and most of us were already on our second drink by the time any food arrived. Fortunately I did not have time restrictions tonight, but other guests in my party had to rush off mid-meal due to childcare. I hope the restaurant considers its patrons' time more conscientiously and communicates any delays in the future.

It was my wife's & I first time here, we had a reservation & all I can say is WOW.. I ordered a pocket poe it tasted great & was strong! Our food was delicious my sirloin was cooked to perfection & the chicken my wife ordered literally melted in our mouths! The vibe was cool not too many people Friday night so it wasn't excessively loud in there. Our waitress was great I can't remember her name but all I can say is great service, food, & drinks! We'lol definitely be back

If you want a meal that is always a 10/10 I recommend the Lomo w/fig Demi glaze on creamy polenta. Absolutely amazing - large portions and the steak comes with your choice of side. They also have very good starter salads (the butter wedge is so fresh and delicious) that can easily be shared between two people ($2 splitting fee to have it plated separately). Good wine list and great cocktails. The service is always good and they do have a big table for larger groups. Good vibe for all adult age groups - I've even seen families w/kids in here.

We loved our first time at Asado! Our server was great, the drinks were delicious, and the food was amazing! We will be going back to try more of their delicious food
