THE CARNE ASADA WAS MOIST AND TASTY. SERVICE WAS STANDARD. NOTHING SPECIAL. THE VIBE WAS OKAY, NOT A FAN OF THE ALL BLACK WALLS.My two star review has more to do with the tequila selection this restaurant offers.Don Julio BlancoDon Julio ReposadoDon Julio AñejoDon Julio 1942Clase Azul ReposadoI believe they had Centenario as well, but I don't remember. Don Julio and Centenario on their own aren't too bad; they sell themselves off brand recognition and are not worth the price tag. At $30 a shot, the 1942 is the better tasting tequila on this list and is very overpriced. There are better tequilas for a lower price available. Clase Azul is the same, except even more expensive somehow. You're paying for the bottle with mediocre tequila.Because this establishment kind of sells itself as a higher end Mexican restaurant, I expected a much better selection of tequila. I would have loved to have my steak with a better tasting Añejo or a better reposado. I wish a bit more effort was put into picking tequilas that would actually enhance the experience of this restaurant.

Food was amazing go with the Australian ribeye it really is worth the award it received! Skip grandmas rice, I thought it would live up to the description but we should have passed. The Australian steaks is what we ordered; all three on the menu and we loved them all. To me the Ribeye was the AllStar! It comes out on a stone and they were all cooked to perfection. If you order the cheese appetizer like we did save some, melt if even better on the stone and have a little bit with the bite of steak. Oh my goodness it was amazing. The rice pudding is sure to please very creamy and excellent flavor. The server was amazing from the orange slice in my water to explaining the menu. He was great. Although it just looks like a family style eatery and basic don't let that fool you. Great location for birthday or special meals. This should be on your list. Great steak house!

Came here for dinner while I was in town for work. I looked at the Yelp reviews and decided this was a good option seeing how many reviews they had. I was wanting authentic Mexican and this a great option a little more fancy in regards to the menu if you are thinking chips and salads think again. The food was great the service was great. It's in an odd location you wouldn't expect this place to be in this parking lot i was pleasantly surprised.

Worth the price. The Raspberry Honey Cake is now a craving I have. I'm a ribeye gal and that there ribeye is one of the best I've had. Quality taste cook and texture! I will definitely be ordering the mushrooms every time. Guacamole bread literally made me smile. Just wished they give more bread. The chips weren't good. Habanero Cauliflower was delicious. Our server was fun and joked around with us which made our dinner experience just that much more rememberable. Make sure to make reservations and expect to wait then too. I would bring a date here for the vibe. It's classy and fun!

I am so glad to see what Asadero has become. The nicest couple opened the first location in a rundown building on West Hill of Kent. They served such great food and they were so welcoming that success was only inevitable . They now have two very upscale Mexican Steakhouses in Ballard and Kent. The meat quality and the cooking skills rank them with the best steakhouses around. Things like the handmade tortillas, salsas, pickled onions,, and beans elevate the experience to heavenly perfection. You cannot find a better Carne Asada anywhere. Although the Mushroom side dish is not on the menu anymore, we asked and they delivered. That and the Chuleta de Ribeye and Papa Al Josper (baked potato) and Ora King Salmon were memorable.

Great find! Excellent service (Maggie), steak-house ambiance (music and pleasant indoors with seating outside as well). Delicious food that's not your typical Mexican American fare. Original and creative items on the menu that beckon me to come back. For lunch I had the wagu steak tacos. WOW! Four tacos with individual wrappers so if any fillings that fall out won't end up on your shirt. Seasoned perfectly with add/on salsas. Recommend reservation for dinner and plenty of parking in their lot.

The food and service are excellent. They have the he best quality steak and of course excellent cooked. Inside the building was crowded but there is a porch for those who like the sunny and hot weather.

Good food. Someone in my party ordered a medium-well steak but it continues to cook after it's served. No take-out orders on Sundays.
