Visited AROI Thai for lunch as I frequent the La Jolla Cove area. We sat on the patio and ordered a stir fry dish with tofu and their panang curry (not pictured). Both were delicious! I believe my boyfriend and I decided on a spice level of 5-6, but it honestly wasn't too spicy! Veggies were fresh and perfectly cooked! The curry was also so so delicious. The star of the show was truly the mango sticky rice! It was $12, which was slightly pricey. However, I would come back and pay the $12 over and over again bc this dessert was amazingly composed. The mango was succulent and sweet; the sticky rice was warm, gooey, and full of coconut flavor. The addition of puffed rice on top was a surprising garnish but it was perfect! Service was great and very friendly. Prices are in the $15-25 range, which is typical for the La Jolla area. Consider visiting AROI for lunch or dinner because it is delicious and the staff are great.

I love this place each time I come I get this feeling of my childhood coming back. I love the food the workers and they're just so nice I wish I could just live here I tickle my pickle to angry birds.

Their pork belly was to die for. This dish was the star of the entire restaurant in my eyes. Flavor was on point. The entire trip after this, I wanted to go back but we were on time constraints. It reminded me so much of my grandmothers dish from my childhood. They forgot bean sprouts in my pad Thai, I was upset about that, and the flavor was okay. The fried rice was really good.

Great customer service. Place is welcoming and food portion is huge. Great La Jolla vibes. I came on a Thursday and planning to come back on the weekend to try some of their drinks.

After walking our Dog Bambam at LA JOLLA COVE , my Son got hungry and craved for Thai food. I'm always seeing this restaurant called "AROI THAI ON PROSPECT", but I didn't get a chance to try them 'coz we always have our Dog with us.But my Son was really craving for Thai Food, so we went to AROI THAI ON PROSPECT to order something to go for him, I was ready to order when I saw a dog inside, so I asked the server to make sure if they were really Pet friendly, and she said Yes. I was like "Oh yes! Then I will get more food if we can be seated with our dog Bambam" :) . We got a Nice spot by their Patio area and I was happy to order more food :) The Foods that I ordered: *BLUE PHUKET - Pineapple, Blue Curacao, and Margarita Mix. *CRISPY PORK with CHINESE BROCCOLI - Sautéed chinese broccoli with Crispy Pork Belly, chilies, and garlic. Served with Jasmine rice and fried egg.*POR PIA TORD - 4 crispy rolls filled with chicken, clear noodles, and vegetables, served with plum sauce.*CURRY PUFFS - 2 pieces of crispy stuffed puffs with Curried potatoes, onion, and chicken, served with cucumber chutney.*TOM YUM - Spicy sour soup with mushrooms and Thai spices.*SUKI YAKI (SEAFOOD) - Glass Noodles, assorted Seafoods (Shrimps, mussels, calamari, scallops, and fish), Tofu, egg, cauliflower, napa, celery, and Mushroom in Sukiyaki Sauce.*DRUNKEN NOODLES - Wide noodles with egg, onions, bell peppers, garlic chili, basil leaves, and Pork (Your choice of protein) All of the foods were Delicious! But my Favorite was the one that my Son Ordered, the PORK with BROCCOLI. The Pork was cooked nicely and was well seasoned, the Broccoli was super Flavorful, like very good, so good that my son ate the veggies without me telling him over and over again to eat his veggies. My drink had a very summer-like feel, it was very refreshing with a Cute ducky decor on it :) . Everything was good, but on some I needed to add some Salt , and it's a good thing that they don't overdo the salt here on their food so at least people can have a choice to just add some salt according to their taste buds. The Staff were very attentive and nice, our server was named PRATCH , and Lita was also nice at the Cashier. PRATCH , our server, is always at our table checking on us, she was also very nice always talking to our Dog too :) We're gonna be back here often for sure 'coz my Son really liked their PORK CHINESE BROCCOLI. The location is PERFECT for us 'coz we always walk our dog at the La Jolla Cove area and this restaurant is very close to it.

Had take out. Not great. Not bad. Expensive for what you get but this is La Jolla and I'm sure their rent is a fortune. Location seems to be sort of cursed, lots of places have come and gone over the last 25 years. Bangkok Bay in Solana Beach is my local fave.

This is definitely the most convenient thai restaurant for me, but I tend to prefer the Aroi next to Pavilions. I feel like the price at this location is slightly more expensive, and the portions feel a little smaller. Overall, they still get a 4 (maybe a 3.5) from me because they make quality thai food.I have only ordered to-go from this location, and tend to order the Drunken Noodles, Silver Noodles, and Thai Boat noodles.

Came to Aroi for lunch for the first time. I ordered the pad gra pow with a level three spice. The flavor of the dish was really good and still had some kick to it. The service was okay for it not being too busy

Ordered this based on other reviews, and it did not disappoint! Waiter asked "How spicy on a scale of 1 to 10" and seemed surprised when I said 7, but that was almost perfect. I might say 8 or 9 next time, especially if I'm having a BEvERage to cut the heat. Just water this time, so the orange slice was a nice touch. $20 seems high, but menu prices are up everywhere since pandemic, so no real complaint. I had a table for two, looking over a short wall at the sidewalk, so the people-watching was good. No ocean view, but it's a short walk downhill if you want to dip your toes in at Sunset Beach.Definitely planning to go again soon.
