I saw a sign for a bean and cheese burrito, enchilada style in the window of Armandos the other day during my lunch break and HAD to check it out! I got all the way back to the office before I opened up the box...I COULD NOT believe how big the burrito was!!!! It was HUGE and absolutely delicious! The lady working the drive thru window was really nice too which is always an added bonus!! I'd definitely go back and try other menu items!

There was a time when any 24-hour Mexican food shop in Phoenix Metro was a virtual clone of every other. Since then, they have blossomed into various sizes and shapes and seating arrangements, but the menus remain largely identical. How then do you describe one of the many? For Armando's is one of the many.Let's highlight what stands out. It has a large, indoor seating area, with comfortable seats and is well-maintained and clean. It's nice to be able to stop in at lunch and relax indoors while eating. They've got chips and salsa! It's been stated elsewhere, and I have no reason to doubt it, that they don't to make these chips on site. Let's not put too fine of a point on it: They come from a bag. Over the years I've seen them change shape, size, thickness and relative salt content. Perhaps they're seasonally-sourced? Plus, you get to play a game while fetching them from the salsa bar: Chip-Tetris. The serving containers are so small and the tongs so badly-shaped for picking up batches of chips, that you will be using all your spatial-cognitive functions in an attempt to get a good-sized serving a chips to take back to your table. Treat it like a game and have fun with it while you're waiting for your food. Don't wait too long, though. They're pretty quick with the food. They've got a few dishes that aren't on most of the other 24-hour Mexican restaurant's menus. They've got daily specials most days of the week and a pretty good Taco Tuesday deal. The food is above-average for this type of establishment. Tacos are tasty and aren't super greasy. Beans are consistently good. Burritos and Chimichangas are huge, as you might expect. One question remains, though: Are they really a 24-Hour restaurant? Their lobby is not, with "lobby hours" posted the door, which implies that the drive-through hours are different. I could find no reference to their drive-through hours anywhere except their permanent sign that says "Drive-through open." I have stopped in here at 2AM and bought food, but not recently and perhaps things have changed.A solid option.

Good and greasy. The breakfast burritos are delicious. Ask for both red and green salsa and thank me later. The drive through is a bit slow, but it is worth the wait.

It's a fast-ish food Mexican restaurant and I love it. Inside is clean. They have telenovelas playing at a bar seating area so I can zone out while I wait for my order. They have warm chips for free for those who want them. (Disclosure: I don't eat them. Heard someone say they don't make them there. That doesn't seem to dissuade anyone!). They have daily deals all the time but I order the same thing because it's always so good. The lady that takes the order is always the same and she remembers me. That's fun. I'm not that regular. They have fresh avocado when it's in season. What other quickie restaurant does that? Luxury! The food I get is not greasy or have a greasy taste to it. It's clean and fresh. I don't order fried things, but I've been places where everything has the taste of old oil. Not here. I usually get something with their beans (which are great), their rice (which is light and fresh) and of course fresh sliced avocado! My friends swear by their breakfast burritos. I've heard they can be a tad inconsistent with their opening hours (from the guys who want their breakfast burritos). I haven't gone in the morning to see for myself. One star held back because it's not a five star restaurant. It's food served wrapped in paper, served on a tray in a room that lacks any love except what's on the television.

Food had great flavor, but my chimichangas was soggy. I will request them to put sauce on side and no lettuce under it. Maybe chips under it to keep hot crispy chimichangas from getting soggy with wet lettuce.

I like their menus. But the first menu board has the wrong prices. When you turn the corner to order the prices are higher. I tried to explain to the guy but he got all defensive. Not going back....

June and it's hot and humid inside Armandos. It feels worse than being outside in the 95 degree heat with a gentle breeze. I ordered enchiladas from the overpriced menu and the chef disappeared. While waiting, I looked at the prices of their daily specials and they were the same price as their every day items! It was way too hot and humid to eat inside, so I took the food home, where I found they failed to put enchilada sauce on the enchiladas! To be honest, I hope Taco Bell or Filibertos takes over this place!

The food was very expensive and was terrible everything was soggy and bland absolutely no flavor whatsoever. I've never tasted food so nasty and thrown together any kind of way. A waste of $39 I will never go back again!
