Zona Caliente Sports Bar

I don't usually post reviews, however this place has truly gone to sh*t. The waitresses a few months ago mentioned that they were leaving because the management was unfair and very mean. They weren't lying. All was fun and dandy until our food came out and a friend was not too fond of his dish claiming it tasted like frozen chicken. After asking the waitress for another option, such as another dish, she brought the manager - very rude and not accommodating. We've been coming here for 3-4 years (4 times each year) and have never been so disappointed in the service. Lastly, they ended up charging my friend for both meals, of which he didn't even eat. To finish it, we handed our payment and had vowed to not come back still with the intention of leaving a somewhat decent tip, but... some of our tabs were mixed up. THIS WAS AFTER WE GAVE OUR PAYMENT! I was charged for my friends tab , he was charged for mine. This isn't a big deal, we can easily pay each other back. It just shouldn't have happened in the first place since the payment and tab were each in their black sleeves. Needless to say, hopefully you don't have any issues with your food because they don't care. Also check your receipts before and after paying. Two days later, I've been charged $10 since the payment posted to my acct.

Stopped by after work to grab a bite to eat , Latino music was blasting the waiter could barely speak English so I ordered wings and left the food was ok the wings could have been cooked a little bit longer the three flavors I purchased was just ok I may try it again but no time soon

Decided to stop by with a few friends after a long hiatus of not doing so, and everything just felt better. The service felt more attentive, no complaints about the food and drinks we chose, and music was great! Not too high where I couldn't hear myself think, and the way DJ MOREX (I think that's how it was spelled) provided a number to DM our requests. I really have to applaud . He had it on a couple of screens where he had music videos playing - something I hadn't seen before. Anywhere! And DJ's are usually pricks about requests, but not this guy. Threw him a few tough ones and he played them all! Definitely coming back! P.S. The DJ threw some karaoke, too! Whaaa!? Not my thing, but noticed a few people step up to the plate and did their vocal thang-thang.

I tried the tacos and they were okay. Went back on Wednesday and got wings. I got Mango Habanero and there was way too much sauce on the wings, the taste was like sugar free, and the wings could have been cooked longer. The wings are big though. They do have good drink specials. It's too cold in there too. The servers are good and friendly. I want to go back but IDK!!!

They must've had plumbing issues because the restaurant smelled like a urinal. Walked in and walked out in one swoop.

Beer is Cold. Food is good. Prices are good. Mexican Style Bar and Music. Lots of TV's. Can't ask for Better and it's close to me.

Bartender definitely made an impression on us and it was enough to keep us from ever going back. We're people of color, business owners and we definitely try and spread the love. We frequently go to Zona in Desoto and have never been serviced so horribly. I even emailed the establishment but no response. We were clearly made to fill like we weren't welcome as did the couple that walked out and expressed to us that felt the same way. We're just going to let it be what is it. Good luck with that Zona!

If I could put 0 stars I would. I don't like to wish anything bad on anyone but this place genuinely needs to be shut down. The ladies there are nice but if you order food just get ready to get pissed off and if something is messed up they will not fix it. Frankly this place is trash.

The manager or whoever the guy is pretty much kicks you out when you pay your tab at 2am even though you are with a party and the rest are paying their tab.

Beer was hot served it with ice. Advertised free pool ,Not true then use change machine for quarters put in 5 dollars only got 3 dollars worth of quarters.Bar area smelled like throw up can tell it never gets cleaned.
