Yellow Rose Cafe

I've been twice now and the food is great! We had chicken fried steak & hamburger steak. All was good even the sides!This time, I had the fajitas & they were great. They are also reasonable compared to other places. The chips & salsa are YUMMY too.The peach cobbler with ice cream was so so excellent! Don't miss out on this one!Our waitress Isabella was so sweet both times we came in ~ actually all the staff. The atmosphere was great as well. I also liked that in the bathrooms had 2 toilets. One for the parent & one for the child.

Overpriced and service is slow. For four meals it was over $100 and we didn't get anything fancy like seafood or steak.

Just stopped here for breakfast with some friends. Really good home cooked breakfast and very reasonable price. A nice hole in a wall spot. Will be back.

Stopped in at the Yellow Rose Cafe for breakfast this morning. This is the 1st time I have visited this location. I was impressed with how clean the restaurant was for a small town and an older location. The breakfast food select use impressive (I will visit again to try more) with a combination of country cafe breakfast selects along with Mexican style breakfast selects. I had scrabbled eggs with mexican sausage, beans, rice with tortillas. The food arrived within 7 minute after ordering and the food was hot and fresh. The restaurant was about half full. The server was very polite and checked on us just enough to make sure we were okay. We will return again to try more food items next time I am in the area.

I came here for lunch one afternoon. It was within walking distance from where I was. It has that small place feel to it, and the staff are friendly. I also liked the food. It's mostly Tex-Mex. I had either the cheese enchiladas or a cheese chile relleno, which was nice to know that they had some vegetarian-friendly items on their menu.The weird thing about this place is the restroom situation. There are 2 toilets, but no "stalls". To make matters worse, there is also a sign asking people not to flush the toilet paper, but to put it in the trash cans. At least there are extra trash cans specifically for used toilet paper, & they have lids on them. I flushed it anyways, since this is Texas and not some third-world country! Your plumbing just needs updating!I would still go back there to try other dishes. I just may not go as often as Papa's, since that's more convenient of a walk.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. For my to go order wrong the last two days. NO APOLOGY,and the chicken fajita meat tasted like a burnt grill. chips like old grease. will not be back. needs total makeover staff included.

This morning was my first time at the yellow rose cafe and to put it simply it was uneventful though the pancakes were subpar everything else was a hit and miss the skillet potatoes reminded me of what a wet dog smells like that same taste was also in the scrambled eggs I ordered if I go back I now know to ignore #22 but everything else was great the waiter was very attentive to our needs and the service was steady as soon as I was seated the food came out 5 minutes later and as I've been told by my eating companions the vindalu is very good if that is being spelled correctly it is amazing what u figure out when u take an anti south park approach and keep yourself hidden

3rd time trying this place- consistently has bad service- don't check on you for drinks. if you need anything you have to flag down someone. food is overpriced and hot sauce was fermenting. side of strawberries for kids meal was not fresh, but frozen mush. $37 for 2 kids meals and thin chicken supposedly southwest and seasoned but bland and super thin. When I told them at the cashier, he just said sorry and walked away. No type of recovery.

The Breakfast is outstanding, A lot of food for the money. The staff is nice & they have good customer service

Smells like a nursing home as soon as you walk in. Crowd matches. Bland burger, limp but burnt fries (how does that even happen?). Want a decent burger and fries? Just go to Sonic. Forget this place.
