This, for me, didn't hit. I know they have been around forever, and it is in a gas station. However, I don't discriminate against gas station food. Some of my favorite tacos come from them and have you every heard of Chefs Point? I was looking for something quick and easy on my way home from work and I could put in an order online and swing by to pick it up. Ordering was easy and it was ready when I got there ten minutes later. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken xx spicy and an egg roll. I ate the egg roll as soon as I got in the car. It was hot and crispy but not what I was expecting. It was more like a spring roll with the thin crisp wrapper. It is small, and was not seasoned. The inside did have some chicken but just tasted like plain cabbage. The Kung Pao chicken was also really bland. And NOT spicy. At all. It looked like it would be. But the sauce was really thin and didn't have much flavor. I would not have guessed it was the right dish if it weren't for the peanuts. It was also mostly veggies. Lots of carrots and celery and a few big chunks of zucchini. The chicken that was there was tender and cooked well, it just didn't hit the spot. It is inexpensive and the food was fresh it is just not what I am looking for

You know you are in Texas when you are willing to try a restaurant at a gas station and you aren't even on a road trip! However, this Chinese food place had such great ratings that I just had to try it. The lady at the counter is very nice and helped me right away. My food was made to order and came out super fast. Portion size was great as well. My only complaint is that the taste of the food itself was a bit basic. The fried rice was just soy sauce and tiny pieces of scrambled egg, no veggies. Another plus is that they do have Duck sauce here! (Many places in DFW don't seem to have it)Still on the search for my DFW Chinese fix!

We love Wok N Roll. You'd never expect great Chinese food from a restaurant that's inside a Shell Station. They're at the SW corner of 121 & Hall Johnson in Grapevine. I can't really comment about the ambiance since there really isn't any inside a gas station. It's clean, though! We order delivery from them a lot. The prep and delivery is so fast. The time from placing our online order to delivery at our front door is always less than 30 minutes and the food arrives HOT! You can specify your spice level. Mild, medium or spicy. I like mine micey! Their portions are huge. I always have enough leftovers for lunch and dinner the next day. I highly recommend trying their food. It's delicious!

Never disappoints. Solid Chinese food. General Tso's is my favorite. Orange chicken is another solid choice.

I respectfully disagree with some of the posts here, the restaurant may be located in a gas station, but the food is solid.

This is our new orange chicken place. The first time this was brought home, thought it was from a fancy Chinese restaurant. They have real oranges! When I found out it was from that gas station food place.. I was flabbergasted. Now, if you wanted to cook chinese fast food, it would make sense to do it simple and leas overhead costs.. which mean customers will be charged less. I did not like the pad thai . I will stick with orange chicken, fried rice, lo mein dishes. I am sure General Tsaos chicken would be similar as well. I have tried orange chicken at plenty of Chinese restaurant and paid twice as much! Get yourself some filling food in those iconic paper boxes and plop yourself on the couch.. even end it with a fortune cookie or two

if you order within an hour of them closing, good luck getting your food. They will take your money and not bring you it. They won't answer your phone calls and the gas station people who work there will have no idea what's going on.

After being a long-time customer, I ordered a large $70+ delivery from this restaurant. I was assured the food would arrive within 35-40 minutes. More than 50 minutes passed before we received the food.By that time, the food was barely warm. To top that off, we didn't receive the correct food. We were missing the 'lobster sauce' for the 'shrimp with lobster sauce' meal.Upon calling to report this issue, the lady answering the phone told us it had been made and was with our food. I reviewed all the received items with her - and what it was not there. She refused to send the sauce out to be delivered, ended up yelling at me that I was the problem for not seeing what should have been there and hung up.We will no longer be ordering food from this place. If poor customer service, tepid food and missing items are what you want to avoid spending your hard-earned money on, I strongly advise not ordering from Wok and Roll either. Just 'wok' away.
