White Elephant Saloon

I can't believe we took so long to actually go inside this place. My wife and I decided to just go around the stockyards hopping from here to there and I'm glad we stopped here. That was our favorite spot, the music, the vibe, the service, everything was great. We can't wait to go back and enjoy some more of it.

Great iconic saloon. As cowboy as it gets. Visiting the Stockyards and went in for a beer. Has a great western feeling with a small dance floor for when they have bands playing. The bar opened in 1884 and has been going since. Service at the bar was quick and friendly. They do have food and liquor as well. Definitely a place to stop in and check out and enjoy a cold beer or whisky.

We were there for local color and drinks. The place assuredly has personality. Sat at the bar, bartender attentive. From 1884, this saloon has had its place in history, including the outlaw Bat Masterson to actor Chuck Norris' Walker Texas Ranger. If you're in the Stockyards; you should definitely stop by!

Located in the heart of the Stockyards, White Elephant Saloon almost feels like a rite of passage for nightlife seekers in this part of Fort Worth. It's got a classic Texas feel to it, complete with extensive cowboy hat decor, reminiscent of a dive bar but carry that nostalgic Stockyards theme so well. Come with good company and make it a fun evening.It doesn't look that big, but trust that the place is deceivingly spacious. My group and I had zero problems finding seating for the dozen of us and I appreciate that it was fairly well ventilated and not too crowded on a weekend night. The place definitely smelled old, which was surprisingly not an issue in the bathrooms (#2) and I loved the elephant decor pieces that were practically glowing from their display case. Bartenders are a tad slow, mainly because there isn't enough staff to handle the crowds at the bar. (#3) With enough patience the bartenders found me but I could see this being an issue if the place was more crowded. Drink prices are surprisingly affordable for an area so touristy, but I think that's part of the charm.There is also billiards and shuffleboard for anyone looking to play games and countless articles on display about the history of this place. There's apparently food as well, which I'll hopefully try during my next visit.__________(#1) Which would include me. Me and my big ol rancho cucamonga ass cowboy hat. I really enjoyed this place. Everyone wore western outfits and was friendly. There was a live band playing and a dance floor. The drinks were good and fairly priced. I would gladly come back here again with all my western gear. They have plenty of bar seating and tables and chairs.

Great Saturday date night. Lots of fun people and great music in the historic stockyards!

I loved this little bar when I was in Fort Worth. The sweet Texas tea was just right, the live music was amazing, and the crowd so friendly. I went there a couple times and each time met some wonderful people from all over the US. The service from bartenders was great. I liked it so much I even bought a tank top to wear when I came home to take me back to my white elephant nights. Did I mention there are white elephants everywhere? I hope to go back one day :)

The blonde bartender was not the friendliest. She ignored my friend and I at first. Helped the customers on each side of us. Then she only spoke to my friend completely ignoring me. She got my friend her vodka soda lime and water and my friend was like did you want something? I was like mmmm nah not anymore, just water. Bad vibes from the bartender. My friend asked her if I could get a water and the bartender looked at me as if I was a pest or something and got a water for me but didnt say anything. I was like thats a little rude she didnt intially ask if I wanted anything when she took my friends order. She checked up the people again on each side of us asking if they were doing okay and ignored us. When she came around asking the people on each side of us again if they were okay she just kind of looked at us like we were annoying her and asked if were okay but was starting to walk away. It was like she wanted to come off like she was helping us but she really didnt want to.

Absolutely electric atmosphere, top tier staff and hospitality. Came from way out of town and felt very welcome all 4 days we visited. Thank you!!!

We loved the area. The dancing was so much fun with great drinks! We enjoyed all of the white elephants
