Inconsistent steaks. Left: well done, tasted like organ meat. Right: medium, tasted "off"

I really wanted to like this place, but sadly it didn't meet expectations. We chose this place to celebrate my grandfather's 100th birthday. The ambiance seemed great upon first impression -- the ballroom overlooks the driving range, and golf is his favorite pastime. My aunts did a menu tasting before the event and they said the food was great. They chose the following options: steak wedge salad, chicken florentine, and salmon and rice. However the day of the event was such a disappointment. The steaks were super inconsistent-- some of us had rare, some of us had medium rare, and I had a well done piece. What seemed strange about my steak is that it tasted...like organ meat?! I thought I was going crazy. My family tried it and they agreed something was extremely off about the taste. My cousin was struggling to cut his chicken florentine because it was so dry. The biggest offender was the salmon and rice... everyone who ordered this option received UNDERCOOKED RICE! Rice is one of the hardest things to mess up, especially if you use a rice cooker... The bread and butter that was served was dry and unmemorable. It's sad when the appetizers outshine the main dishes. The fruit plate upon seating was well presented. The Beef Wellington (A+ chef's kiss) and coconut shrimp were the saving grace of the event. The pork potstickers were just okay.We had paid drinks as an option, but I don't drink so I asked for a club soda. It came in a plastic bottle and it tasted like plastic. Outside of food, the ballroom provided us a projector. The AV team didn't seem super knowledgeable as it took 30 minutes to get the video AND audio up and going. Overall it wasn't the best in terms of food and the projector, but the room itself was great and the appetizers provided something to remember. Nonetheless, I'm grateful we had a place to create memories for my grandfather's 100th. Highly would not recommend this place for a wedding though unless you're looking to be disappointed.

I've been to this Country Club on several different occasions. I attended a wedding reception. It was a nice area with a bar. There was an outside area with a fire place and the area to get the food was close by as well. Staff in the front were friendly and informed you of where to go as two events were going on. There is plenty of parking.

What a beautiful course! I spent a day here for a charity event and it was impressive. The course is beautiful, well maintained. The facilities are nice, though some are a little worn (bathrooms). When the event got chilly I heard the organizers asking the venue for outdoor heaters and the venue said they were all broken. That's a little disappointing. I would think those would be available. If I joined the club it would be disappointing to not be able to sit on the patio because they don't have outdoor heaters. But, again, I was impressed with the facilities and the ability to have the club member's have uninterrupted access while also having

So many bad things to be said about this place. first of all, it's extremely outdated in every possible way. does not live up to the country club name. we literally had termites and nobody did anything about it. working here ended up being a complete joke. the behind the scenes of everything was honestly disgusting. most of the managers were horrible to work under. they were immature, and had no respect for the employees that actually kept the place going. overall, 0/10. would never recommend to anyone.

The place cold be a gem, but the clubhouse is poorly laid out, the furniture on the patios is the cheapest excuse for outdoor furniture one can imagine, the landscape around the clubhouse is pitiful looking, the turf is weed infested, the greens are bumpy and rarely rolled, the fairway grass is 3/4" to 1" tall and the bunker sand is too fine. In all, WCCC is poorly managed and is not a good club. The saving grace is they have a lot of really nice members.

Played this course (Oak Course) for the first time and it's already one of my favorites. Neat little throwback course that requires an accurate shot off the tee and accuracy with your approach shot. The greens are "old school", hold great, roll true, and can be lightening fast. Just about every green has 2-3 perfectly placed bunkers. Tall pecan and oak trees line the fairways as you make your way through a Mansfield subdivision with houses on each side. Tees and fairways are excellent and no problems at all playing the ball down. Definitely a must play/join for golf enthusiasts. The only advice I can give is to beware of the communist little-man on #17. If you happen to slice your drive DO NOT GO LOOKING FOR IT! The "little commie" will yap F bomb after F bomb at you.

My wife and I have been members for over 20 years at Walnut Creek CC. Our kids have spent considerable time at the pool and on the golf course which are very well maintained. The manager is excellent and the golf staff (especially Brady and Tanner) are the best around. The restaurant staff are also very attentive and friendly. Well worth the investment.

Think Twice! Some celebrations happen once and can't be redone! We had our Rehearsal Dinner for our son & daughter-in-law to be, Nov. 2019. Months of planning with specific request & details, on the night that mattered they delivered nothing as planned! The meal was horrible, undercooked, cold, dried out, rolls served cold with hard butter. The cheesecake was the best part of the meal & it was sourced out! I had to tell the waitstaff we were out of food several times as our guest stood in line! I had to pick up dinner plates as the waitstaff stood in the back doing nothing! All the complaining we did, not one person from Upper Management (on staff) did one thing to fix the multitudes of issues or even came in our room! We meet with all of Upper Management a week later! The GM (Chris) told us he had no idea why it all went wrong bc he had not spoke to Chef Ben or the staff on our dinner! What poor management to not have done that before our meeting! When asked at our meeting, what do you do with the food left we paid for, particularly the 10-12 pieces of cheesecake? Does staff take it or do you resale & double dip? Not one of them answered that question...Opps looks like they got caught! Club is poorly ran, management is poor! They gave us a partial refund & offered many apologies, but it didn't bring our night back! I have never been so embarrassed & it was obvious to all how bad it was! There are too many other places in our area that want & can deliver with somepresentation! Highly recommend you do not use this country club! Not worth the chance! I should have known better with the poor service & mediocre food they serve in the club!

My husband and I and our son have been members for several years. Unfortunately my husband is no longer able to play golf and our son has moved. They have been trying since September to cancel their memberships. No one answers the phone there and no one returns your email. Even leaving a voicemail for the General Manager did not get a response. Finally someone from membership called and said they would take care of it. Nothing happened. So here we are today still owing them the 60 days cancellation plus September and October that was charged to our account. Ridiculous.
