I'm surprised the rating here is low, the food is outstanding! I had the Chicken Scar Pella to go. Wow! It's one of my favorite foods now. The chicken was perfectly juicy and the pink vodka sauce was delicious. And the complementary bread was very nice! I can't wait to try more of the menu

Verona Italian Cafe is the place with greatest Pizza (Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken) and best Stromboli we have had in the metroplex. We live in Southlake and happened to be in Plano one day and just stopped by. It was the best decision we made that day. We now take trips to Plano just for Verona's Pizza and Stromboli. Always the perfect choice.

Decided to try this place cause I was in the area have passed it many times and have never tried it. Everything was good came out in a timely manner with salad & rolls. Service was pretty quick and place was nice little qui cozy byob place.

My daughter and I moved to Plano, Texas from California last Weekend and we are interested in trying all the amazing foods and restaurants this city has to offer! We found Verona Italian Cafe when we were looking for local Italian restaurants and decided to order from there for Dinner.I ordered the Spaghetti with meat sauce and a couple of orders of garlic bread with cheese and my daughter ordered the Cheese Ravioli. I can see why this restaurant has such high ratings. The food was freshly prepared and nice and hot when it was delivered to us. My daughter really liked the garlic bread with cheese since she was able to dip it in the side of marinara sauce that came with it. We will definitely be ordering from here from now on!!

Our go-to for BYOB Italian in Plano. Where others have changed owners and menus, Verona is never a disappointment. My favorite is the Chicken and Shrimp special (off menu) in pink vodka sauce over spaghetti. Pizza is great too as are other items.

Everyone should have that great little hole in the wall Italian restaurant. The one where the food is great, plentiful and inexpensive. A Place where you can bring your own wine for birthdays, first dates, anniversaries or even to dine solo. Well this is the place. That restaurant where if you come often enough, the staff knows your name and your favorite places to sit. I truly enjoyed our dinner here. Everyone was exceptionally friendly. Can't wait for my next visit.

My wife and I were invited to dinner at Verona Italian Cafe back in October, as part of a group hosting a surprise birthday party for my wife's co-worker. We found the restaurant to have a nice ambience.For our meals, we shared the Bruschetta appetizer. It was plentiful and tasty. Since we each were definitely having a piece of birthday cake for dessert, we both opted for the Greek Salad as our entrees. To drink, we both had soft drinks.We both enjoyed the salad, but I seem to recall I was a little taken aback because the olives on the "Greek" salad were neither Kalamata nor Peloponnese, rather they were simple California Black Olives, which I found to be a letdown given the Old World interior decorating vibe being attempted by the restaurant. And, in the interest of full disclosure, that is the reason for the Three Star rating.Anyhoo... The salads were fresh and as for the drinks, there was no "slime in the ice machine" detected. So, major plus there!In the end, we did decide that we would visit Verona Italian Cafe again were we to find ourselves in the neighborhood at mealtime. As for the waitstaff, they were working hard to take care of the 20-plus people in our party and they did so quite well, considering the circumstances. For the facilities, the restaurant's bathrooms were both well stocked and clean. If asked to recommend Verona Italian Cafe or not, I would definitely recommend it.
