Veracruz Cafe

I recently picked up an order from Veracruz Café for the first time due to a referral, and it was an awesome experience! I had the AWESOME NACHOS, and they were absolutely fantastic. The nachos were topped with chicken, shrimp, and melted Mexican cheese, and they were served with sides of pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream. The flavors were incredible, and everything was perfectly prepared.In addition, we got two margaritas with Grand Marnier to go, and they were "awesome blossom." I'm so glad I listened to the referral and tried these amazing nachos. I can't wait to experience more of their cuisine. If the rest of their menu is as good as the nachos, I know I won't be disappointed. Highly recommended!

Not my favorite Mexican. Waiter was great, atmosphere good. Great selection of Tequila.

My new favorite restaurant in Midlothian. I got the fajitas and the steak was so thick and juicy, it can easily feed two people.

Vera Cruz is always good! We've tried several dishes and all have been good. I especially love their sour cream chicken enchiladas and birria tacos! All of their seafood dishes I have tried have been cooked well with generous portions and large shrimp! Food is always out quick and hot. Their queso is huge!! We love the blue corn tortillas, and their salsa has the perfect heat. We love their top shelf margaritas. Service is always good, but last time we went our waiter was out of this world amazing!!! I believe his name was Gian! Overall, Vera Cruz has a great dinner vibes, speedy service, and food is on point every time.

We arrived for lunch during the week, the place looks inviting and we were seated right away.We got our drinks right away, with warm chips and red medium heat salsa. We didn't get an appetizer but the menu looks appealing, may try some next time.I ordered the Pipian Chicken, it wasn't great, the pipian sauce is served over chicken filet, but the flavor was lacking salt and the plate and food was not hot, not even warm.I do have to give you a star for the salad, it's a cabbage salad with crunchy tortillas thin strips, the rice is tasty but the portion of rice was "tiny", you could easily give double that amount on each plate.I would ask that your server tells you that you are getting a vinegar dressing for your salad, and provided other options.My other 3 coworkers had the beef filet that comes with sweet fried plantains.Hope to come back and try other choices.

This was my first time here, we were looking forward to come and get margs on the balcony, coming from the restaurant industry I typically expect water to be on the table within 2 minutes. We waited about 15 minutes before finally someone made an attempt to come give us service, at this point we were standing up walking out... came up the street to give Jalapeño Lemon Tree a try and nothing but excellence. I may give Veracruz another try, but definitely left a sour taste in my mouth.

Food is great. Margaritas on point and service superb! We enjoy the atmosphere and regularly meet friends for dinner and drinks.

Service was great. Food was delicious. Only two problems.1. The glass that my beer was in had a strange odor. We had a similar problem in our home until we installed a water filtration system. Smells like a wet dog. 2. Portion size was like a child's plate, I seriously thought they accidentally gave me a kids plate. 3. If I paid $8-$10 for that lunch, it would have been ok. But I paid $17 for two tiny little enchiladas and a tiny serving of rice and a tiny serving of beans. 3 stars because my wife and kids liked it.

Unique and well presented dishes served in a friendly and attentive manner. Definitely will be making return visits to thoroughly explore the menu. The decor and setting is inviting and pleasant.
