Please don't do their Mother's Day brunch unless you hate your mother! Food was subpar not worth the $45 per person charge. 4 main entrees and an "omelet bar" with ok taste, had to add salt and pepper to everything. Replenishment of food was almost non-existent. Service was lacking, our server had a look of annoyance when asking for any type of request as if she didn't want to be there. The atmosphere was not festive and the music was very sad and depressing. Overall not returning, I would've had a better experience at the Waffle House. Do better, thanks.

I love this place, I've been twice in the last month. I looks great and it's really cheap. It's on a golf course and they have liquor. The first time, we got some shots and ordered the big burger, it was really good. The second time I got the sliders and tried some of the chicken fried steak. I absolutely love their chicken fried steak, probably my favorite. Service was really good both times, one time at the bar and other at the tables, the bartender seemed nice. It has a great view and a fountain people take pictures at. I can't recommend this place enough for a date or drinks.

At the Tierra Verde golf course - this place is a clear upgrade from snack-shacks and golf course restaurants. After several management changes and executive chef redos- Ventana has settled-in, known for great burgers, big breakfast burritos and a solid Sunday brunch.I had the Eggs Benedict this weekend with spicy sausage and a great hollandaise sauce. Breakfast potatoes also solid.Mix in a spicy Bloody Mary on the beautiful deck for a solid Sunday AM breakfast.

This is an interesting place in a golf course in far south Arlington that's currently being renovated so you really have to search this place out if you want to go there. First of all I have to say that the view from the dining area is just beautiful big windows overlooking part of the golf course truly breathtaking. Now for the food. I must say that I didn't find anything extraordinary here and by the same token nothing was horrible - everything was pretty middle of the road. It might be that they have a limited menu because of a smaller amount of traffic due to the renovation but the basics were burgers and sandwiches and salads as well as appetizers. If you're looking for a Grand country club dining experience, this is not the place. If you're looking for a quick bite or a sandwich or salad to hold you over the selections looked very good. I came here for DFW restaurant weeks and the menu that was provided for Restaurant weeks was comprised of items that were not on their regular menu, so I can't really comment on The quality of their normal menu. The prices seemed very reasonable and the service was certainly efficient. So, if you find yourself in fire South Arlington in need of a beautiful view to enjoy a tasty salad bye, give Ventana Grill a try - you can thank me later

Amazing food, cozy atmosphere and great views. The white cheddar pasta was a favorite, topped with tender beef short ribs and the pickled red onion that was deep fried. The pickled fried onion added an unexpected pop to the dish to the creamy pasta. The Beer Can chicken was crispy and perfectly seasoned. The loaded mashed potatoes were fresh with crispy thick bacon. Everything was so good we were happily sharing off each other's plates. We enjoyed our entrees so much we decided to go for dessert. Fresh made sopapillas with cinnamon sugar topped caramelized apples and a drizzle of salted caramel. Perfect fall dessert. Ventana was delicious and worthy of a slight food coma. At $12 a plate you would be hard pressed to find similar valued meal with this quality and execution in the area.

The food was pretty good from what we ordered. However, its only 3 star worthy because they changed their menu... I was really looking forward to a lot of the spanish dishes from their online menu. But upon arrival, the place was empty, it took a bit of a wait before someone noticed we were there waiting to be seated, and the menu was completely different! They replaced many of the spanish fare with american dishes like nachos, sliders, burgers, etc. Which was truly disappointing. The tapas menu became tapas/appetizers with calamari and the previous mentioned nachos and sliders. The entrees changed to italian spaghetti and chicken parmesan dishes as well as burgers and philly cheesesteaks. If I wanted sliders or nachos I would have gone to chilis. So we ordered the few remaining tapas and a salad. Overall the food was quite good and I'm sure the original menu would have been delicious and I am very sad I didn't get a chance to try them. I heard from our really nice waitress that they changed the menu for the golfers. Apparently their regular golfers would rather have a hooters or bennigans there than a fantastic spanish restaurant. Boo you unrefined golfers!Thumbs up to their chef though for doing a great job with what we ordered!

Service - 3 StarsFood - 3 StarsView - 4 StarsA beautiful little restaurant located at Tierra Verde Golf Club in southwest Arlington/Kennedale, off Hwy 287. LIke the golf club, this is in the COUNTRY. If you live in Mansfield this place is right off 287 at Eden Road exit. It's a shame that its not on the beaten path or it might get more business. My own taste buds persuade me its worth the trip. They serve a variety of stuff, including the cuisine of Spain, that is fairly upscale, tapas and paellas and variations thereon. Their menu is located at their website www.ventanagrille.com. I had an excellent salad and an exceptional burger at that location as well after a round of golf. They serve a lunch buffet on Sunday and have a large, beautiful patio outside the door. With the well-kept greens and golf course area as a back drop the patio area is particularly beautiful. Now, if I were of the female division, I would think this patio area perfect for a wedding or reception. Me, I'd would rather just drink beer or wine or some other cool drink. I'm also trying to talk my daughter into eloping, but that's just wishful thinking, like peace in the middle east!

I really like Ventana Grille's paella valenciana, but it is now only served on an irregular basis. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere and the food is really good, but the service is very inconsistent. One time the paella did not have any mussels and the sangria was lacking fruit. The Chef, Luigi, did take care of it after he saw what was served. I think this place can improve if there was a steady flow of clients, which will attract and keep good waitstaff. By the way, the lavender creme brulee is as good as it gets and there is a good variety of tapas to choose from.

What a disappointment drove all this way for some Spanish food to treat my wife (she is from Madrid) only to find they have removed almost everything Spanish except a few Tapas. So not to waste the trip we ordered one of each.If you ignore the fact that these are supposed to be Spanish Tapas they had an ok flavor, but with the expectation of Spanish Tapas full of flavor they fell miserably flat. We will not be back, so unfortunate.

Our group of of 25 celebrated a surprise birthday here for dinner on a Friday night. Service was pleasant and efficient. The food, however, was very disappointing. My wife and I started with the spinach salad. The greens were very tough and the balsamic vinaigrette was bland. We did not finish our salad. I ordered blackened salmon--TOTAL disaster . Very salty and no spices... Hmmm .... How did the chef develop this recipe? Another diner had the same experience and couldn't eat their meal Portions were reasonable for prices. My wife had penne pasta with chicken. Pasta was properly cooked and chicken had nice flavor.
