We discovered another very nice Mediterranean restaurant in Pantego. We were astonished with the details of the finishes, most being carved wood. We were also delighted that we were not surrounded by TV's. We started with Harira soup. They provided us with homemade flat bread. For entrees we had Grilled Dorado Fish and Kofta Kabob. We had sides of rice, salad, hummus and tomatoes. The presentation was beautiful but not to be outdone by the delicious flavors. They have only been open for 3 months. We want to go back and try their very popular grill whole chicken.

I had heard so much about this place that I had to try it for myself! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted and got to choose our table. The ambiance was Mediterranean with a strong Moroccan vibe--fresh, elegant, and full of character. The details were impeccable, from the chairs and tables, which looked custom-made, to the colorful couches, lamps, and the beautiful fountain in the center. Here's what we ordered:* Harira Soup: I was excited to try this, but it seemed to be missing something. The menu mentioned chickpeas and vermicelli noodles, but I didn't spot any. The flavor was quite bland and could have used more seasoning and love.* Eggplant Salad: This was sweet, with fried eggplant, colorful bell peppers, and tomatoes--possibly ketchup? It was served cold, which I wasn't expecting. However, it came with Arabic tanoor bread, which was absolutely delicious.* Kofta Kabab: A standout dish! The beef was flavorful, the rice was perfectly cooked, and the small salad and hummus on the side were both delightful. It was a well-balanced and satisfying plate.* Beef Tagine: This dish arrived steaming hot, which was a nice touch. The sizzling presentation was great, but there was no juice left in the tagine. It was served with basmati rice instead of Moroccan couscous, which was a letdown. Also, I missed the traditional carrots and vegetables. That said, the meat was tender and flavorful, and I loved the dried apricots, prunes, and toasted almonds. With a bit more juice, vegetables, and couscous, this could have been an outstanding dish! While the waiter was friendly, she kept asking, "that's enough food"--which I found unnecessary. I came to try as much as I could, and I prefer to make my own decisions about what to order! On a positive note, I absolutely loved the colorful serving plates and the hot tea--it was fantastic! I know this place is still new (just two months in business), and I'm confident they'll keep improving.Thank you for the delicious experience. I'll definitely be back soon to explore more of the menu!
