Two Gentlemen of Verona

Look out Beth Marie's you've got competition-- I really really liked this ice cream shop. They are an instant hit with me because they have amaretto- which for you old school folks is the flavor of blue moon ice cream. I also tried the mint chocolate chip and cookies and cream-- delicious! They also have an assortment of tarts/desserts. They also had San Pellegrino water and looked like espresso-- bottom line I'd come back here, great service and great gelato.

Gelato was delicious, and the employees were polite and patient to explain the different flavors I didn't know. They also give a lot of gelato. They stuff the cup, which is always appreciated . Also, the place is very pretty and quiet and I think it would be a great study place!

I would give this place 5 stars as it's my favorite gelato spot, but they recently started using scoops to serve gelato instead of the spatulas (?) used previously. The gelato is now stacked in the cup, which causes the top flavor to kind of melt all over the bottom flavor, rather than side by side like it used to be. I feel it is also messier as the top scoop leans off to the side and drips everywhere if you don't eat it very quickly. Other than the recent serving change, I really enjoy the gelato here. They offer many flavors that accommodate different dietary needs. My favorite combination is the salted caramel and coffee, but with the gelato now being served in scoops, I almost prefer to just order one flavor at a time. The service here is always quick and the staff is friendly, plus it's open late at night. Overall, this is a super good gelato spot that I frequently visit. :)

They have a whole case of vegan gelato. For real? For real. And it's really good. Recommend the horchata. So good! Well done Denton!!!!

A relatively new place near West Oak on the square. Lots of gelato flavors to choose from, including your more traditional chocolate, hazelnut, pistachio to a huge spread of fruity flavors, with quite a few vegan options too - something for everyone! Apparently the raspberry sorbet is their best flavor.And if you don't feel up for gelato there's chocolates and pastries and coffee as well. I ended up trying the raspberry tart which was AMAZING. It was recommended over the lemon tart but I'd love to come back and try that too. It was pretty empty on a weekday afternoon but I imagine it's much more crowded on the weekends. With the wifi access it makes for a good quiet study space.

An Italian owned cafe and bistro. Offering homemade Gelato, pastries, specialty drinks and supper friendly staff, a definite stop to take a break from downtown shopping. Loved their Strawberry Tart!!!!!

Super cute place, with excellent service and delicious treats. All the flavors we have tried were good, but I would recommend lemon as my fave!

The staff was nice and patient. The inside was super cute and suitable for studying as well. The portion is big even though I got a small cup. We got coffee flavor (taste heavily like coffee and very bitter), whiskey (interestingly good), gianduia (taste like chocolate fudge, guava (a little sour, have the freshness but light of fruit), cheesecake (sweet and a little salty, goes well with guava), and blueberry panna cotta (not as the jam is nice but the panna cotta itself is a little plain). I enjoy having a small cup of guava and cheesecake a lot. Definitely my favorite ice cream place in Denton so far!

My husband and I walked in around 2:45 Sunday when it was such a beautiful day. We were the only ones there. We were served by a tall, curly headed young man. Things were ok but what we observed while eating was awful. A group of people came in and the young man told the young woman, I'm going on break. He left her with nine customers to serve. Then, 17 more people came in. You could definitely hear that the place had filled up and the young man never looked out to see if she needed help. She was serving gelato, making coffee and checking out the customers and never appeared flustered. Good for her. But if I was the owner, I would rethink this young man's employment.

Fist timer, and I would give five stars to the latte and the lemon tart. Coffee just like in Italy, not the horrible brew people know from US. The tart was fresh, lemony, without a sour overbearing taste and great executed.However, after the guy server (?) left, the circus came into town. I have no idea who of these clown actually worked there, as only spider woman had an apron on. At times there were five of them chitchatting but no one cared about the customer. Weird. Looks like it becomes a friends hangout as soon as the owner (?) left. Non had washed their hand, no took the dirty dishes of empty tables. Although the place just opened, three of the tables had coffee, ice cream or syrup on the side. Tables need already a good cleaning.Hopefully next time there is different waitstaff.
