Tortas La Hechizera

Before heading to the nail shop, I needed to get a snack and what better than authentic Mexican tacos. I saw this small establishment and decided to stop by and try out there steak tacos. First, let me say the establishment is very clean even the restroom were extremely clean. That is always a plus, if the restrooms are clean, that means staff are washing their hands in my opinion. The counter staff were very pleasant. The food was fresh. It was timely and didn't take long for my order to be ready. The most important thing was the taste and yes, these are authentic yummy Mexican tacos.

Have ordered takeout twice from Tortas La Hechizera and the second time was just as delicious as the first. Husband and I tried the Torta de Alambre, the flautas, Alambre tacos, the quesadilla, and the Huaraches. All were delicious! Ordered the torta both times and was big enough to share. Do not sleep on this place!

Definitely coming back again. We got our food to go and the place was spotless..super clean. The food taste amazing and the service was great.

Thanks to Daniel C's quick notes, I decided to give this place a try today. You know, he has 4 check-ins which means he's been here like 100 times, right? I don't even know the guy! Anyway, Torta means sandwich in Spanish. Gringos don't realize that Mexicans also eat sandwiches. It's not just tacos! So this is a Mexican sandwich shop, right? Wrong! This place has everything. I almost went for the tacos . . . but why would I go to a sandwich shop for a taco? There's a pretty long menu up on the wall, and you order at the cashier. (The good news is that they bring the food to you!). Man, I must have stood there for like 5 minutes trying to decide, but I finally chose the Cubana. That, plus a bottle of water set me back $8.75.Let me tell you that this thing had everything but the kitchen sink in it! Chicken-fried steak, some sausage, avacado, tomato, lettus . . . all on a really nice (and GIANT) bun. Well not a bun, but not a 'bolillo'. It was really good. And it was piping hot! They gave me little containers of salsa for it, and I'll give that stuff 8 stars! Not for the faint of heart! HOOOTTTTTT!!!! Seriously, I cannot recommend this sandwich unless you're starving, which I wasn't. I have no idea how I got the whole thing down, but I did!Hechizera is a nice little place that was obviously doing a bang-up take-out business, even though there are pleanty of tables. This is they type of place with rolls of paper towells on the tables for napkins. You know, if you're going to give your customers paper, this is the way I like it! The people were friendly and the food was good. I'll be back to try some of their other dishes in the near future!

The cheese quesadilla was tasty and the only reason they get one star. But that's also being generous. The Tortas suck!!!! The bread is tasteless and the fajita meat tasted like it was old and reheated not to mention it was the worst tasting meat I've ever eaten. Overall a terrible experience. My family is from Jalisco and this place should not be able to advertise as a Torta shop. I have a terrible stomach ache after just having only 3 bites of the "Torta" The food is also overpriced. And I wouldn't even consider feeding food like this to my dogs!!!!

I met up with some friends at the Texas Theatre for a little bar action. I forgot that it was 8pm and decided to walk a few blocks down to grab some food. Thats when i stumbled apon this place. First thing you noticed is that it wasn't the cleanest place. Several tables were dirty and it looked like the place hadn't been cleaned in ages, but this didn't stop my hunger. I looked up and down the menu at the pictures because i can't read any spanish. Not seeing anything that looked great i asked for a chicken and meat taco and a quesadilla no onions. The woman had no clue what i was saying and asked a small child to come help out. No problem i thought. Well when i got the food i was happy with the tacos, but i have no clue what i got instead of a quesadilla. The food hit the spot, but if i wasn't hungry i could have passed on it. The quesadilla wasn't anything close to what i thought it would be, but the tortilla seem very fresh and flakey. I think this place is better than the usual burger joints i passed to get to it, so in the event that i'm in the same situation i'll be sure to hit it up again.

We were looking a place to eat close to Parkland, and luckily We found this little gem. The building is small, but the inside is nice and clean. Tortas are their specialty, but They have other items as well, including breakfast. Everything was delicious, and the Tortas are big enough to only eat half, and have the other half at home. The only thing keeping My review from 5 stars, is that it IS kind of exoensive. $20 for a Torta, fries and a soda.

Been going here for a year and love the food, staff and the mincheladas!! Also you can get them to go!!

Ordered from here last night. I got tinga flautas and my husband got a carnitas torta with fries. All our food was hot and made fresh and delicious. We will definitely be going back. Chocolate cake is bomb too!!

This place was just not it for me. I had tacos and I didn't get my complete order and the tacos didn't taste good. Also, the quesadillas are not good at all
