Coconut star mocktail! It was heavenly good with all the western vibes and mood. The bartender was very helpful and cooperative. I like it when business offers wide range of mocktails options like this place. Not forget to mention how prices are great here too! I am definitely coming back again for more mocktails!

I eat here almost every time I am in Fort Worth. The food is always good and the people are friendly and you usually get good service. I normally eat at the bar and I've had one girl that was very slow to help or check on her customers

Amazing experience!! The food is delicious here! The service was fast, friendly and very accommodating. We loved the atmosphere and old town cowboy cuisine. Totally recommend the chicken fried chicken breakfast, plenty of portion and oh so tasty!!!Reminded us of a breakfast Grandma would make. Absolute perfection for a trip down memory lane. 10/10 on everything!

This was a local recommendation for some down home chicken fried steak. It was delicious and tasty. A win win all the way around! It was hot fresh and tasty! We loved every bite! We would definitely be back. The salad was fresh and yummy too!!!

Best chicken fried chicken/steak I've ever had. Super crispy and served with eggs that seemed to be cooked in lots of butter, very tasty. The only miss was the biscuits which were surprisingly dry. Service was decent, took our orders quickly and left us alone until it was time for the check. The place had a very nice feel being in the stockyards and being not too crowded.

Best burgers! On the move but in the groove was our fab server Carol! So friendly in her very busy lunchtime rush of big tables nearby! She was the best! Loved our Half pound perfect cheeseburgers and fries to go with jack daniels beverages. Highly recommend!!

Pros: the food was tasty and came out fast! Cons: for being a cafe, this was an extremely overpriced restaurant. I originally wanted a salad, but it was $18; so I opted for a $13 burger that didn't come with a side. (I had to pay $2 for a tiny bag of lays). Nothing comes with a side unless you get a $40 steak. Again, for a cafe? Not impressed. The staff was chaotic and gossiping over their Girl Scout cookies the whole time. Weird atmosphere, which is disappointing because we love the stockyards!

Spending time on this end of exchange st is worth it. The ambiance is rustic and home grown feel. The star cafe is nicely decorated. It was busy at lunch which is a good sign. The servers were all very friendly and nice. They were attentive as well. The chili had a nice flavor but temperature wise maybe like it was just heated to like warm? Kind of reminded me of hormel maybe. But it was good. The burgers were both very good. Bacon was flavorful. Buns were toasted. The fries were fresh cut and tasty. Fried pickles were good as well. All in all can't go wrong here for something quick and not mainstream.

Great food , good service and a great location. Prices are ok for the foods served at The Star Cafe.

Dinner here was VERY disappointing. This used to be our go to for a delicious meal that was reasonably priced in the stockyards. Chicken fried steak was top notch, really, most things on the menu were. Can't really say that anymore! Menu has changed, and everything is pricier.Ordered our usual chicken fried steak... no salt. No kind of flavor, of anything. Although crispy on the outside the meat itself could have been passed as tasteless cardboard. Chicken fried steak is thicker and smaller than the previous portions too. Mashed potatoes were definitely from a box and the collard greens which are supposed to be flavorful, were not. Not even a little. Can't say we will be back, ever. Which is sad because it had been one of our favorites.
