The Peppermill Lounge

Nice place! Hole in the wall, dive bar, safe! Did I mention no smoking!? Not even e-cigarettes!? LOVE THAT!!!Bartender was lovely and polite and the guests were very nice! Good safe place to hang with friends on a Friday night!!!! Y'all go check it out!

Never been there when we didn't have a good time. That I can remember.Good drinks, well-poured. They don't over pour, they're just not stingy.Cool bartenders, especially on Karaoke nights. Friendly, fun crowd. Lots of regulars who know and take good care of each other. :)

I am a local Fort Worth musician, and after having finally made it over there to check it out, I must say it's growing on me! Fun people, nice staff, and live music and karaoke all week!

OK, as I like to do when reviewing a place, I went back a second time to the Peppermill to see if the first visit was a fluke. Well, I think the first visit was a fluke and just happen to have all the right ingredients show up on that particular night to make it wildly entertaining from an observe-and-report point of view.On the return visit the crowd was drastically different, the awesomely entertaining bartender was no longer there (and when I mean no longer there I mean she was fired from the bar after the previous weekend I was told,) and there was just no energy in the place.So, this place might be hit-or-miss depending on what you're looking for. I doubt I will be returning because I think it was a one-and-done mix on the first visit and the place is a little out of my way in general.Since Peppermill is still a smoke filled dive bar with a couple of other decent dive bars within a few blocks of it I will keep my rating at an 'OK' 3 stars.

This place is a total dive and time warp into the 70s. It's more of a place where locals like to go, however they do have live music every now and then and are trying to incorporate it more. The bartender has a smile on her face the entire night I was there and I was in one of the bands playing this particular night. They have a small stage setup and some house speakers that point in one direction, so if you're along the side of the bar, you probably wont be able to hear the vocals very well. The parking lot seems a little sketch, but they do have security cameras around the bar which you can monitor from the inside. One thing that does suck is, this place is "cash only" however when you start a tab, they still take your credit card, I guess as a place holder(?) but it can be confusing to think they they do. Make sure if you do come here you got some money on your or else I heard there's an ATM. When I first got here earlier in the night, it seemed like mainly a place for the locals to go in this super smokey bar, so just another thing to keep in mind when you come here. However they did have a free spread of hotdogs and other miscellaneous food things.

One of my favorate places since it was called "The Rocking Chair". The bar is outfitted with the original bar from the old Blackstone Hotel. Nice people, good looking bar staff, great juke box. This is a throw back from the 70's, still has the lava rock surround to the dance floor. Who's says East Lancaster is not happening? Look for Mayor Tom at the corner stool at the bar; a Vietnam Vet that served his country with honor. Worth a trip, just down from the Ozzie Rabbit.

Apparently they only accept cash according to the bartender. No problem. Except the site says different and your bartender gets a shittier tip cause I have limited cash. Oh well on to the review of the place. Not bad. High school rock band while we were there. Drinks were reasonable.

Great place to go have a cheap drink with Karaoke fun all of the time! Go check it out. Very clean and nice place. :)
