The Texans do not play when it comes to their BBQ. It's damn good! The brisket just melts in your mouth. The fattier the better in my book. My brother suggested trying the Texas Twinkie (large Jalapeño stuffed with brisket and cream cheese wrapped in bacon) and the Jalapeño Cheddar sausage... didn't take much convincing. Anything Jalapeño is a must-try for me! They weren't spicy, packed the perfect punch of flavor. The Mac was good (not the best I've had), the corn was alright (not my fave), and the corn bread was good. I was starving when I placed my order so I ordered a little more than I could handle. My leftovers were practically a whole new meal. The guys behind the counter were super friendly and answered all of my questions without making me feel like a bother. The place is big, very spacious, plenty of seating inside and outside. Apparently I missed a spectacular view of the sunset from the top floor with my nephew while I was in the restroom washing my hands. Bummer! Oh! & as if they couldn't get any better... they offered all you could eat dessert! Your choice of Banana Pudding or Peach Cobbler!!! Plus, ice cream to top them off. I went back for seconds of that Peach Cobbler that's for sure. Yum! This is my nephew's favorite BBQ joint and the kid knows his food (he's four). His parents taught him well! We love food!

Food***// to be honest I had much better bbq than this. I ordered ribeye which is cook well but nothing surprises and sausage on the grill was kind of cold. Salty but nothing impressive Service***// traditional service where u wait in long line and only 2 guys are serving at the grill. Whole thing can be more efficient just order at tables and bring over but I think it is their strategy Ambiance****// setup was nice, plenty of spaces and see all sorts of deco thru out the premise. Like the vibe where you can see big grills and all wood stacked up

Just got done eating our "to go" order. Got 1 lb brisket, 1/2lb jalapeño cheddar sausage, and a 1/2 smoked chicken. For sides we got the elote corn, brisket pinto beans, potato salad, and Mac n cheese. If this is a chain and they stick to the same recipes, I'd have to say Roy has an aversion to spices. The chicken and brisket ONLY tasted of smoke. If they put a rub, you'd never know it. BBQ sauce should be optional to get any type of flavor from meat. Instead it's a requirement. For the sides, the brisket pinto beans were bland. Just a little salt and pepper does absolute wonders. The elote was lacking flavor, the potato salad was bland and lacking, and the Mac n cheese tasted like it was made from a box of velveeta (wasn't. Ad but tasted like from a box).Liberal sprinkling of rubs go a long way on smoking meats.

Finally came and tried this place and it did not disappoint. We ordered the family pack with pork ribs, pork belly, brisket, and sausage. We tried the Mac n cheese, elote corn, and brisket beans. Everything was so damn good. No complaints at all. It was the perfect day for bbq. My favorite part was the free dessert for dine in which was ice cream, peach cobbler, and banana pudding. Service was great and staff was friendly. Ambience was perfect !

This food was awesome. Everything was on point. The brisket was juicy and tender. The green beans had excellent flavor. The potato salad was everything I love about potato salad - rich and creamy. The ribs were succulent. It's a bit expensive - fair warning. And if you don't get there early the line can wrap around the corner. Also dining in you get free banana pudding, peach cobbler and ice cream.

Ordering online was probably the best idea, it was ready by the time indicated and the cashier was super nice. We went at 11:30 on a Sunday and the parking lot was packed, thankful that they have an overflow lot in the back. 1/2lb each of pork ribs, slicked brisket, and jalapeño sausage, and one Twinkie. 4 sides- fried okra, Mac and cheese, and green beans, and 2 pieces of jalapeño cornbreadTotal of ~$66 after taxes. The ribs and the Texas Twinkie had a similar sweet glaze over it, probably the best thing we got. I had high hopes for the jalapeño sausage. It lacked the "snap" but flavors were good. I'm not big brisket person, but it was good. The green beans were actually snap peas, pretty average. Mac and cheese and fried okra were also average, nothing to lose sleep over. I'd come back for the ribs and the Texas Twinkie.

I grade BBQ really tough, because there are so many great BBQs in Texas, and the competition just keeps getting tougher. Well, a major contender to move into the area recently is Roy Hutchins! The Brisket is top-notch! Tender, smokey, moist, and a great bark. Loaded Mashed Potatoes, Dirty Rice, Elote Corn, Brisket or Jalapeno Beans make selecting sides difficult, but the good news is, you can't make a bad choice!Save a little room, because there's free Peach Cobbler and Banana Pudding if you're dining in!Best BBQ is a matter of personal preference, but The Original Roy Hutchins is definitely in the conversation.

The Mug Rootbeer soda is legit.Ms. Morgan was an excellent hostes. She turned us on to the Texas Toast, they butter from corner to corner on both sides of the bread. The ambacne is relaxing, music and guest are amazing. Everyone is friendly, laughing and talking about the amazing food. Smiles all around.
