Texas Best Smoke House

This is a chain. Did not know that prior to today. It's a combination store with a sonic, bbq, gas station and a gift shop all rolled into one.The staff was friendly. (The staff at sonic was more helpful). This BBQ is very mediocre. Nothing special except the price, for what you get it's expensive. $15 before tip for a so-so plate of chips with chopped brisket and melted cheese (like the kind that comes out of a big can cheese) I won't eat here again, and I can't recommend it to anyone else.

Not the best barbecue but okay in a pinch. The brisket was a little dry and not tender. The pulled pork was good and so were the spicy beans. The sausage had good flavor but not very juicy. The rolls were good too. We had the Regan's spicy barbecue sauce. They were tasty. Customer service was good.

Five stars. Daniel was extremely helpful and helped me make the best decision possible when ordering my barbecue. The restaurant is extremely clean. Daniel deserves a raise. We appreciate the team and we will be back. You'll be blessed. Thank you!

I never thought I would find BBQ worse than Dickies. Well I have. At the corner or highway 287 and Walnut Grove sits a Sonic, Texas Best Smokehouse, Pistol & Pearls and a Shell all rolled into one building. Decided to have some ribs for lunch and I'm sorry I did. This was the most disgusting ribs that I have ever had. Sides were canned and doctored up a bit. Slaw was ok. The best thing I had was the ice water. Keep driving. Don't stop. Save yourselves. There is way too many good bbq joints in Texas. This place doesn't even deserve 1 star.

I was hungry and we stopped here to get a card for a birthday party we were heading to. I decided to grab a bite to eat here since we didn't know the food situation at the party. I got the chopped brisket sandwich and wifey got the turkey baked potato. I was happy with my sandwich it came with lots of chopped beef meat quality was pretty good for brisket and the sauce was not bad at all. I had a bite of the baked potato and it didn't disappoint either. If you live in the area or just stopping for gas try this place out the food is good and so is the service.

Went to order from this place was gonna get a baked potato I had to change my mind, after seeing them cut into it the whole potato was nearly the same Color as the skin! It must have been sitting in the oven/heating rack all day long! I wouldn't be surprised if ppl get sick from the food.

Bro this shit suck ass. It is way too expensive to be fucking tasting like that. Where is the seasoning??? I am Mexican and my wife is black ... Who is making this shit? I needed some seasoning in my life... i could've gotten a better meal at the sonic right next to it for 20 dollars wtf??? Smh the meat is perfect but that shit don't taste like nothing. Right before I got my meal i told my wife "we should come back next week to try their dinner plates" yea mf right. I ain't coming back. IT SAYS TEXAS BEST .... I am embarrassed... my wife isn't even from here. Has only been here 3 months... smfh this is so tragic

I dine at TxBSH at least once a week almost 5 years now. The employees are always great and actually know me and anticipate my order. They deserve a sincere thanks!!

Brisket is an abomination for a place that has the audacity to call themselves "Texas Best." They slice the briskets horizontally so you don't get the crust on both sides and, to expand on that, I'm positive they don't even smoke their brisket..... The manager could see how mortified I was being served this food and gave me a 10% discount, but to be honest, I would've left a 1 star review even if they gave it to me for free. If you have any respect for Texas BBQ, don't give this McDonalds quality BBQ your business so they'll hurry up and close down.
