Beans could've been eaten, but they DON'T let you have chips. Their chips are only used for their chilaquiles! Worst effing answer EVER

My husband found this place when shopping for records across the street and hasn't stopped talking about it since then, so we got up early this Sunday morning and headed over there to try to beat the crowds. What a wonderful, welcoming restaurant! I hadn't read any of the Yelp comments before we went, but my goodness aren't you people in need of a reality check? We walked in and were greeted and we were early enough to not have a wait. While we stood there waiting to order, I read their sign that basically let's you know that there may be tables available, but they will fill them according to the number of servers/staff available at the time. (I feel like the ones complaining would take the tables if offered and then complain because service was slow.) Once we were seated, we were checked on regularly and our service was impeccable. The food was delicious! Hubby is hooked on their chilaquilles and I had the chorizo con huevos and they were delicious. I wasn't crazy about the potatoes, but I'm that way most places with breakfast potatoes. (For the ones complaining about not having chips so you could eat the beans? They do provide these new things called forks and spoons.)Bottom line. Put on your patient pants on and go enjoy this delicious food, wonderful coffee, and their sweet employees!

This place was delicious! I saw that it was hyped online so I was expecting it to be busy and or over hyped. I must say after reading the reviews I'm a little glad I went first then read them I would have been discouraged. The wait was about 25 minutes for my party of three one being a toddler. We waited and when we were seated we realized they had plenty of tables available which was odd. We did notice that the staff was very limited and the kitchen was tiny so we figured that was the reason. They also have a hiring sign at front so that makes sense. The wait for the food was a bit but again tiny kitchen so we were ok with it. The waitress was very nice and accommodating. The food was spectacular. I was hoping I didn't like it much because it is a bit of a drive for me but no I loved it. I got the birriaquiles and my mom got the special of flautas de pollo. The menu isn't huge and doesn't have a big variety it's pretty much the same thing with different toppings. I must say even though it's limited it is done very well everything was seasoned perfectly. I feel bad for those who had a bad experience but I hope they give it another try because to me it was worth it for sure. I hope they get extra help soon to accommodate more clients.

We went around 10 am this past Saturday, you have to order and pay in order to be sat down and they put a lot of pressure on you to hurry up, the service was mediocre, the food was good, the place was cute. Would I go back? Not really, I don't return to where we weren't treated to standard.

I was introduced to this location by some friends and came with them one morning. They are known for their Chilequiles and you can order them the traditional way and or how you want it. I ordered the red Chilequiles that comes with fried eggs and house fries and it was very delicious!! I will definitely be back.

I consider myself a fair and honest reviewer. My husband and I love food and are always willing to try new places. However, this place did not do it for us. Let's start with the 50 minute to get seated. (Mind you there was about 6 tables avail 20 mins into waiting, yet they had us wait the entire 50 mins, only to sit at a table that had been avail 30 mins ago - yes it was empty for that long). Then we had to order our food at the front counter and then sat down in very uncomfortable seats with no cushion. Waited another 30 mins for our food. I ordered the Chilaquiles divorciados and hubby ordered the birriaquiles. I will hand it to them the red chilaquiles were good. The green ones not so much. My hubby's birria was flavorless. Cafe de olla was tasty.Towards the end of my meal I had some beans left over and asked for some chips, so I can scoop them up. The waitress straight out said, her words exactly, "No, we don't do that, our chips are just for the chilaquiles." I was in awe of her response! 1ST AND LAST TIME ! RUDE, RUDE, RUDE

The service checking in was horrible. We were looked at as if we didn't belong there. There was a wait as if it was the most special VIP spot to go to. I have gone here prior to the remodel and the atmosphere was welcoming compared to this visit. I will not be going back with this type of experience as soon as you walk in. It was a great disappointment.

Nestled in Fort Worth, this quaint gem demands an early visit or patience for a one-hour wait. The cozy mom-and-pop spot, though petite, boasts flavorful chilaquiles dominating the menu. Opt for the red and green varieties paired with succulent beef fajitas, accompanied by a generous serving of two eggs. The food impresses, encouraging sharing due to the abundant portions. The charm is marred by disorganization by the staff; seating, ordering, and delivering require a firm hand from owner, if not this place would easily get a 5 star for me. Despite the chaos, the stellar food quality Trumps locals and visitors alike - a must-try if you're in the vicinity. Overall they got good food, and a place I recommend you should try.

I was so proud to see a restaurant with Zacatecas roots so I took my girlfriend here. After my experience, I was embarrassed. Although the food was delicious, this place is managed by inexperienced people that are obviously not reading the feedback from their reviews. We waited 1.5 hours for a seat and then another 30mins for food. They have signs that say they're hiring more waitresses and food runners when their waitresses and food runners interacted with us for a maximum of 3 minutes from the moment we ordered to when we left. They need more help in the kitchen to be able to service their clients.Food comes out like it's a video game. They bring out one plate at a time and there's no organization as to the order of which plate they do as they zig zag and fill tables in different orders. I had to wait 7 mins for my girlfriend to receive her meal after I received mine and if you're anything like me, I was raised to not eat until everyone receives their food at the table. Please please please focus on managing expectations given your wait times. Hire more help for your kitchen and invest in that kitchen. Bring out a table's full plates and not skip around. And preferably, ask for payment after one eats their food. It doesn't feel right to ask for a tip when I place an order after a long wait, it's very disconnected to the reality the customer is experiencing. Remember many people wait and save all week to try places like yours so for them to experience something like this ends up being the brand your restaurant gets known for.I'll give this place a second chance in a couple of years, if it's still around. Until then, please do better.

Food was okay. Service was a zero. Was quoted 45 mins and ended up waiting an hour and 15 only to have to wait 45 more minutes for food to come out. No free refills and don't except chips and salsa. Once we were sat the service was still slow despite the restaurant being nearly empty. Pretty below average experience.
