Okay so... This is a difficult one to review. I immediately want to give 5 stars due to the excellent customer service. Wish I could remember the guys name. Even while super busy, this guy was kind, patient, knowledgeable, and pretty quick despite the amount of people in the building. Now... The food.. To be completely honest.. It could've been a lot better. And I wish it wasn't as expensive, but it is what it is.Not to say it was bad, but I've had (just recently) another Italian place and maybe I'm comparing too much. I don't regret going but I doubt I'll be there again. If you do go however, get the taverna focaccia. Due to the service, variety, and location, I'll give it a 4.

It's ok. Pretty overpriced and bland depending how you order. We have been here a few times now. The pizza is pretty good but the toppings slide completely off so it's really difficult to eat. The pastas are mediocre. The gnocchi with short rib is especially disappointing. I don't believe there's any short rib in it. It's completely overpriced. You're better off ordering a burger or chicken and waffles.Service is fine. The patio is a good spot but otherwise it's pretty cramped inside.

I LOVED it here. Our server was Moses and was so kind and attentive. Read and explained the specials and also told us about other dishes and made recommendations. I ordered the Bolognese and it was delicious. The meat sauce was perfect. We sat out in the patio area and the weather was nice but they still had fans on so that was even better. We were there for a birthday dinner and the waiter sang HBD in Italian. Super great singer btw. I would definitely come back to try something else. Everyone loved their food.

Have been for lunch/dinner and it's good but went for brunch recently on the weekend and it was really good! We both enjoyed our food. They also have $3 mimosas on the weekend, if you drink.

The aperol spritz 11/10! Sooo yummy! The atmosphere was calm, and we had a booth by the sidewalk. Service was awesome and attentive. We got the Filetto Di Manzo and Eggplant Parm. We went there for our anniversary and will definitely be back, especially to have some more drinks!

I recently came here for Christmas Eve dinner. We had a reservation and it seems like that's the best way to go because every time I pass by this place it's always very busy. We started with drinks and focaccia. The focaccia is heavy on the Parmesan and was very flavorful but kind of wish I had some marinera to dip it in. It tastes like fancier cheesy bread. The margarita was delicious and they did not skimp on the alcohol so I felt like I got my money's worth. For dinner my husband got steak and I ordered the veal Marsala. While the Marsala was ok I kind of feel like it lacked some seasoning. The true standout was the chocolate lava cake. It's small so it can easily be enjoyed alone or shared if you're stuffed like we were by the end of the meal. I would come back here purely to enjoy dessert. Our server was nice and attentive.

Excellent place for brunch, with at least 4-5 specials to choose from and one of the on Saturday 1/11 was Diablo shrimp on sourdough crostini's. The house bread is focaccia with a zesty pesto for dipping, it was very addictive. I ordered the Taverna hash with scrambled eggs instead of poached. It had peppers, onions, potatoes, and brisket. Amazing brunch! The best part is the $3 mimosas!

Came here again to celebrate my anniversary with the husband. Taverna is located right on legacy west so there's plenty of parking but you may have to walk a bit. It was a bit busy but not extremely crazy- we had a reservation too. We did have to wait longer than we expected before anyone came to bring us water. We ordered a bottle of wine- pinot noir- we were happy with our choice. The place is very nice and romantic inside. The lighting dimmed and the set up/decorations are welcoming. We ordered the zucchini chips with the truffle aioli- chips were good- but the aioli was just mayo with no truffle flavor. Which was a disappointment because we love truffles. My husband ordered the mushroom risotto and it was delicious. So flavorful and perfect for cold weather temperatures.I had the cacio e pepe and the pasta was cooked perfectly and it was tasty and flavorful.Lastly for dessert we had an Italian old fashioned and I was surprised on how good it was made and strong which is the way I liked them!!Overall this is a great place to go with friends, dates and even with the family. Good food/good ambiance and decent service.

If you are a garlic lover try the rigatoni all Norma. This is a vegetarian dish with eggplant and aged ricotta. The sauce was robust and the eggplant was cooked perfectly. The garlic however was overpowering for me. I think if you love garlic, then this is your dish. I also tried the burrata caprese which was fresh and addicting. It was so good that I tried to recreate the next day. (Successfully). The zucchini chips with truffle aioli were thin and crispy. Also addicting. I will not be trying to make these-I know my limits! Overall a mouth watering experience.

I visited Taverna today with me sister who was in from out of town. I have been to Taverna a few times before. Previously the food was decent but the portions and quality were fair. Today was unacceptable from the service to the food. My sister ordered a diet coke it was flat and turned out to be diet r/c. My mimosa was warm and tasteless. We then ordered the bruschetta. It was supposed to be on toasted ciabatta bread. It was on untoasted french bread and tasteless. After we finally got the waiter's attention to tell him that it was not edible, we returned it and ordered something else. One table away the manager asked the waiter about it not sure what was said but watched the manager walk away. He should come straight over and apologized and asked what they could have done to correct it but no eye contact or acknowledgement, but he went on to the next table. We then order the veal carpaccio. It was served with so much black truffle oil that it was inedible. The oil was dripping off the veal. It was disgusting. We still can't get the oily and truffle taste out of mouths and we both love truffle oil. This is the first bad review that I have left but people work hard for the money and shouldn't waste it here. The only think decent was the iced tea.
