Tacos La Cuesta Hidalguense

I had bookmarked Michoacán Tortas and Tacos a long time ago, but I was finally in the area around lunch time and decided to stop by. To my surprise, the name changed! I had to double check I was at the right place multiple times. Once inside, the menu was also different. Based on pictures I saw of the old place, this was very simplified but there were still so many options. I decided on an agua de piña and some gorditas. The agua was sweet and delicious. The gorditas were yummy too and very filling. My only complaint is that the masa was still a little cold to the touch, but thankfully all the filling inside didn't make it too noticeable when I ate them. This place has so many items I want to come back and try and the prices were very reasonable. Luckily it is close to home and they even do take out. I will definitely be returning!

Been here several times, and so far everything has been really good. I came in for the Torta Cubana, it was enough for two meals and it was really good. Don't get a lot of tortas but this is the best I've had. The pastor street tacos have a lot of flavor and are packed pretty good for the price, about $2 each. The red and green taco sauce is good without being insanely hot.The cheese enchiladas aren't your regular tex mex version, and they were really good as well, rice and beans are simple, but also taste good. I've noticed a lot of places like this don't really have a separate salsa they use, IF they even offer chips and salsa. This place has chips and salsa, and the salsa for chips is different. It's really good, usually doesn't matter what I get when I go, I grab an order of chips and salsa. Chips seem to be house made, at least the brown bag they put them in can be a little greasy when you get it.Food comes out pretty quick, most waits are about ten minutes. They offer a couple desserts, and a lot of different sodas. I've had pretty good luck with service, BUT always check your to go order before you leave. I've ordered extra salsa always and a couple times they left it out. Missed the first time, thus the checking every time since then.

Loved the quality of the food here ... I had the green enchiladas and they were to die for. We will be back again to try other items.

I've eaten here twice now and I can say this, the food is great, it's fresh, and it's very fast. It's definitely in my rotation now!

I typically avoid writing a taqueria review unless I've had the tacos at least twice to test for consistence; but I am so impressed I had to add this little gem immediately. I consider myself a street taco snob. I expect the price to be under $1.50 per taco, the cilantro, onions and limes to be plentiful, the beef asada or fajita to be without gristle and in thin small pieces, and the pastor to be flavorful, juicy, and not greasy. This place hit on all marks. Delicious, fresh, fast, cheap, clean. They even take a card and speak English which are bonuses I have come to not expect! It was delicious the meat was flavorful and just how I like it. Can't wait to come back.

This place is amazing and the gentleman usually working there is very nice! I questioned his Barbacoa and he let me sample, no questions asked. And proceeded to bring me more samples of what they have. It's a very good establishment!

A little pricey for Mexican food but delicious!!! Barbacoa had great flavor.. the salsa was spicy but not too hot. Flautas we're crunchy!

Been coming here for 18 years, reminds me of my childhood, I recommend the quesadilla de queso and the huarache de fajita con chorizo

Really Great food. 100% recommend. They have lots of things to choose from. Tacos , quesadillas, etc. They have great staff to !

Let's start this off by saying based off the 4 star rating things can be deceiving. known about this restraurant for years been once three years ago and wasn't impressed. Thought I would try again sadly same outcome. The Food was plain and dry order the taco plate the beans and rice was just DRY. My friend Order the big burrito witch wasn't big at all said the same dry dry dry.... To make it worst its Cinco De Mayo !!!!! smh I now see why the taco truck next to the have more services, better quality and price GUARANTEE.
